Would be 5 stars if not for having to change rooms.
Not sure what happened, but we initially were put in a room that had many things wrong: one bed had some sort of weird mattress that couldn’t be slept on as it was like a deflating air bed, holes in blanket, coffee maker that didn’t work correctly, big stain item on the carpet. We requested a room change the next day, and our 2nd room was amazing. None of the issues of the previous room. So rating as average due to two complete opposite rooms. Staff was amazing, location perfect, and a super QUIET stay which is huge for our travel needs. If you get a good room, it’s a great experience. Not sure what happened with us.

Great location. Clean room. Breakfast had many options. Welcoming staff. Would definitely stay again. Parking garage next door

Such a great spot we came back just to stay at this hotel 3 years later.
My wife and I came on a couples trip to Charleston a couple years back. This hotel has it all. Super fantastic breakfast, great coffee, friendly staff, parking on site, all the regular amenties you would come to expect from a nice Hyatt Hotel. Possibly the best part though, you can walk to nearly anything you would want to see in Charleston. It's got to have 100 foodie restuarunts within a mile. It was fun 3 years ago, and even more fun this time. We loved it and will plan on staying here again in the future.

Great location, great staff! We had an issue with a room that was handled efficiently! I would stay there again! Some of the staff were outstanding! Sheena checked us in, and her smiling face was a delight after a long trip!

Dirty underwear in room - overall not clean - poor management and run down hotel. Avoid.
Dirty underwear found In The bedroom and management only gave half the room back for one night - never even offered a room change - and did not offer any further discussions during checkout. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Had potential but let us down. (MOLD)
MOLD. We showed up and our room was inundated with mold. they switched our room the next day and MOLD again in the next room

Perfect location for CofC parent
Dropping our son off at College of Charleston for his second year and this hotel was the perfect location. Price was good too. We could walk pretty much everywhere, and, when we needed our car the valet had it ready to go within 5 to 10 minutes. Rooms are clean. Coffee 24/7. Free breakfast was a nice perk too. Will definitely be staying here again.

Vacation stay
Valet service was wonderful the staff were all pleasant and helpful. The pool was to cold to use definitely not heated as claimed.
