Great location
The location was really handy for the airport. The staff were great, and the breakfast was honestly better than what you get at most hotels. They even had a whiteboard with local activities and some coupons for restaurants. The only downside was that the rooms, while super clean, had pretty small bathrooms that could use an upgrade eventually.

The rooms was nice and had lots of space. There was a sofa bed and microwave. The only issue, there was only one waffle maker for breakfast.

Severe Pest and Cleanliness Issue - Unacceptable Standards
While the layout of the room was inconvenient due to the sink being located outside of the bathroom, my primary concern is a severe hygiene issue. Upon returning to my room in the evening, I discovered a large cockroach in the bathroom and was forced to kill it myself. Encountering pests in a guest room is entirely unacceptable and a clear violation of basic sanitary standards. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and expect management to address this immediately.
Guest Services, Owner at Hyatt Place Charleston Airport/Convention Center, responded to this review
We are deeply concerned to read about your experience during your recent stay. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. Please be assured that we take these matters seriously and have reached out to our pest control service to address the situation urgently. We are implementing further training for our cleaning staff to prevent this from happening again. Your feedback regarding the room layout is also noted, and we will explore how we can better accommodate our guests in this aspect. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we are determined to improve our services. We hope you will consider giving us another chance to offer you the high-quality stay you deserve. Sincerely, Management Team Hyatt Place Charleston Airport/Convention Center

Great hotel in North Charleston
We had a great stay at the Hyatt Place Charleston Airport. We booked this location because it was a short 5-minute walk from the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, where we went for a concert. But it was very convenient for everything else. We drove to downtown Charleston and to Isle of Palms without problems. The staff at this hotel were great - so friendly and even fun. The room was spacious and clean. Really, what more could you ask?
