My family and I had a great experience at the Hyatt Place in Charlottesville, VA. The recent renovations and accommodations met all of our needs. Breakfast was great for me and my family. We also enjoyed using the updated fitness center and the indoor swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great place, great staff. Highly recommend. Located near a lot of great and easy to get to restaurants. The staff was very helpful.

A nice Hyatt place. A recent lobby upgrade really makes an impression. The location is close to lots of amenities and shops. Stop by grit for good coffee and taco mako has authentic street tacos. I recommend the lengua and cabezza.

Great experience! I was very happy to see that the rooms were newly renovated. The hotel should really take updated photos for the website, since this location is significantly nicer than other Hyatt Place locations that haven't been renovated. The staff were all pleasant, the room was very clean, the AC was quiet, and there was plenty of parking. I will definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, there are lots of restaurants and shops within walkable distance. I thought I read the pool was heated, I could be wrong... but either way it was too cold for me. My kids enjoyed it and it was very clean, though. Staff were helpful and polite and when we asked for additional blankets they brought them within minutes. Room was very clean. The room had hard floors which just feels so much cleaner than carpet. It also has the frosted glass bathroom doors I've seen at other Hyatt Places. Don't love that when you need to use the bathroom in the night, but it's not a deal breaker. Breakfast area was nice. Eggs weren't great but overall food was what you would expect from a free continental breakfast -- not stellar, but good and fills you up. Would stay here again without hesitation. Check out Pi-Napo Pizzeria just off the UVA grounds if you want some authentic Neapolitan pizza and gelato.

Big room. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Good water pressure, everything in working order. Didn’t have time for breakfast but I’m sure it was good based on the overall quality of the hotel.

If you are traveling north on Route 29 or doing business in Charlottesville, this is the perfect place to stay. In a town center area with lots of shops and nice places to eat. Trader Joe's and Costco in walking distance. Burton's is our favorite place to dine there. Hotel recently remodeled. Good as NEW.

Folks are nice/clean and the property is situated around walkable shops and a couple of restaurants. You can walk to WF as well because there is a pedestrian bridge. It is not a feasible walk to UVA though however it is a short drive.

This was a great experience! The hotel seems brand new. The rooms were quiet and everything was spotless. The breakfast bar was better than those offered at similar hotels. The location is great with lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance. The hotel has charging stations, and it is located across the parking lot from Tesla chargers as well.

We had a nice experience at the Hyatt Place in Charlottesville. It has a convenient location especially to the movies and shopping and several restaurants. The breakfast was basic but quick and easy and free and the coffee was very good. The hotel was quiet and the beds were comfortable and the room met our needs and we would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. We visited Monticello while we were there and really enjoyed our visit as well as The Thai Cuisine and Noodle House right around the corner from the hotel.

There was a party going on on my floor, with the door propped open. It went into the wee hours of the morning. It was very loud. The hotel has "Quiet hours" posted but they don't seem to want to enforce them. I complained to the front desk but they at first told me there was nothing they could do. He finally, somewhat reluctantly went up and spoke to them but the party continued.

The hotel was clean, the staff was exceptionally professional and kind, and the location was amazing! Lots of bars, restaurants, and shopping to keep us busy.

The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good and they also outlined all the gluten free options available as well. Also convenient to walk to restaurants and stores.

We were so impressed with this hotel! The location was ideal - so much was within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, modern, and spacious. I would definitely recommend!

Overall the rooms are nice and clean. There is not a restaurant or bar currently. There is an actual bar top and chairs but no bartenders and no menus only grab and go. Breakfast was fair same things each morning and the food was not temperature hot. Alex, the front desk attendant was kind.

An outstanding experience! Lovely location nestled in a pedestrian and dog friendly outdoor mall environment, near parks and trails. Fresh and clean property with on-site parking, laundry facilities, coffee/breakfast, outdoor patio space. Loved the little touches like cold water dispenser in the gym and soft gym towels!

There was leftover food from a previous guest in the microwave, which immediately made us question the cleanliness of the room. We requested a new room, but although we originally booked a shared-room experience for our family, we did not receive that same setup after being moved. The situation was frustrating, but the customer service response made it worse. The attendant was barely apologetic and showed little compassion or concern for the inconvenience. We travel to Charlottesville often, but based on this experience, we will not be staying here again.

Better than expected. Clean updated large rooms with great amenities. Mini fridge did not have a freezer component, as an FYI. Usually not something that matters, but would have refrozen water bottles for my cooler. Did not ask staff if there was somewhere I could have frozen a couple small water bottles, but with how great the staff and facilities were I would imagine they would have accommodated my request! Can literally just go through speed-bump local housing road from parking area to Costco for getting fuel and making a Costco run if needed!

Well worth the stay. Staff was kind and very courteous. Room was nicer than I expected. When the hotel renovations are complete, it will be very very nice.

Booked three rooms - pleased were given adjoining rooms, and another room on same floor. Thank you for meeting that request! Rooms were spacious and suited our purposes, nothing fancy and will need to be renewed in a few years. One adjoining room door stopper did not work; there was a stink bug on the ceiling; one room had a microwave while one didn't. Training room was good, and the indoor pool looked well maintained. Lobby area for breakfast was large.
