Not allowed to use Hyatt gift cards from my credit card rewards program at a Hyatt hotel!!!!! According to this Hyatt, their system doesn't allow it. I don't know about other Hyatt hotels. I purposedly called Hyatt customer service and had my payment all set up beforehand. Then I arrived at the hotel and it changed....

It was Very convenient to where we needed to go. Clean and comfortable. Close to Stevenson University and Goucher college.

Our Two-Night Stay: Friendly Staff, But Serious Cleanliness Issues My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Place Baltimore / Owings Mills for two nights, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. To start with the good: the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Every interaction we had was pleasant and professional. The breakfast was also great — a nice variety and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay fell short in multiple ways. Room access was unreliable. The key card often didn’t work. Sometimes it took several tries before it finally unlocked the door, which became frustrating. The condition and cleanliness of the hotel were concerning. The hallway leading up to our room had a funky, unpleasant odor. Once inside, the room smelled moldy. The air-conditioner was visibly dusty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The carpet was stained, and I found several strands of curly hair stuck to a towel — a very off-putting discovery. On top of that, the towels and bed covering felt stiff and rough, as if the detergent hadn’t been fully rinsed out. The pool was also a letdown. It was closed the entire first day for cleaning and didn’t reopen until later the following day. While I hadn’t planned to swim, I did overhear another guest tell the receptionist he specifically chose the hotel for its pool so his kids could enjoy it — and he was understandably disappointed. In summary, while the staff and breakfast were definite highlights, they weren’t enough to outweigh the cleanliness issues and maintenance problems we experienced. We expected a more comfortable and hygienic stay, and unfortunately, this hotel didn’t deliver. Would we stay here again? No. And we wouldn’t recommend it to others, either.

Convenient to major routes and Metro. Hotel offers a secure environment, rooms were clean; great HVAC, crisp, clean, comfy bedding, close to shopping, dining, and entertainment

Room was clean and nice, they have a great breakfast, staff is beyond friendly, such a lovely change from regular customer service. We have stayed here once before and it was worth paying a little extra to stay here than go someplace new. We will choose this hotel again in the future, breakfast staff needs a raise! :)

Room could have been cleaned better, there was debris from previous occupant and overall dusting could have been better.

This hotel is always clean, and the staff are friendly. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious and have ample space to accommodate my work needs.

There were blood stains all over the carpet. This was very disheartening and definitely an eyesore. It made you wonder if the rooms were cleaned properly.

Everything was nice overall. We went for a 8th graduation sleepover for my daughter. The hotel is across the street from metro centre, so we were able to walk to 5 below and crumbl cookie. Near metro station, restaurants, costco, giant. Couch cushion was coming apart but that’s minor to a bunch of girls who want to make tiktoks and go swimming.

Overall it was a fair experience. The parking lot is a bit tricky to get into, but there was always a good parking space available. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. I loved that there was a refrigerator in the room. The Breakfast bar was a big disappointment. There were not hot eggs or a waffle making machine. We ended up going out to breakfast somewhere else. The a/c unit worked but was a bit annoying to have to keep adjusting it to get it to the right temp.
