    I won’t be coming back

I will give you the pros and the cons: Pros: Staff was nice, lobby was relatively clean, and it was in a good location, they serve a decent breakfast in the morning Cons: Room was very dirty with dark hairs all in my shower and stains all over the couch, the curtain didn’t block out the light so it felt like I was sleeping next to a light every evening. The gym was even worse with no mats for stretching or abs, no cleaning wipes, and no towels for sweat. Several weights were broken as well. They also have a policy that if you want to check in early (before 1 pm) you have to pay a fee so definitely don’t come here if you are coming in on a redeye unless you don’t mind paying or waiting.

    Not Worth The Risk

Terrible. Added a smoking charge even though I don’t even smoke and refused to remove it. Rude front desk staff as well. Massive stains on the floor. It’s not worth risking paying over double the booking cost just because they feel like scamming you. Don’t stay here.

    Love this place!!!

My experience here was a 100/10 and I highly reccommend this location. The breakfast is so delicious and will definitely be the deciding factor where I stay on my next visit to Baltimore<3

    Recent stay

My experience during this stay was average. I guess it depends on whom is working the front desk. The hospitality was very bland for my personal experience.

    House Keeping?

The positives: Location is prime in harbor east, plenty of good food options around and quick access to fells point. Great value given the location. Room was a good size and no issue with noise. Also, I do want to thank the front desk member who was working the morning of September 16th, I believe it was Saba, but she was able to help us get an early check in after our red eye flight which was incredibly helpful. The negatives: This was a 6 night stay for my wife and I. We spent little to no time in the room outside of a couple late mornings early in the trip. During our stay our room was never formally cleaned. Mind you, we had a couple late mornings and had our sign up to have them return at a later time. The problem is they never returned. The staff do a good job of reaching out to you via text to ask about how your stay is going and if there is anything they can do to improve it. On multiple occasions I simply asked for the room to be cleaned to which they'd respond the request has been submitted. The best we got was fresh sheets and towels dropped off on our room sofa. The trash was only emptied in the bathroom but not the main living space, bed was half made on one occasion with our dirty sheets, clean sheets still remained on the couch at this time, only one roll of toilet paper provided and I had to go down to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper. At which time I also left a formal complaint because I have stayed at many Hyatts, and I have never dealt with anything like this. Photos included below are of the half cleaned room we got and some of the texts between myself and front desk staff. Would I recommend this hotel? Given the value and location I would. I'd hope this was a one off situation with our experience with house keeping and the staff not being able to communicate and simply get our room clean.

    Unimpressed

Hotel only offers valet parking for nearly $40. Only other option is metered on-street parking or paid parking garages. The room was somewhat poorly lit. Upkeep on the hotel room was lacking. The blackout shades stuck while opening/closing, the door to the mini-fridge would not close all the way, and the door to the room stuck while opening/closing so it was loud. Also had some rust spots to the sliding door frame for the shower.

    Not 4 Stars

Staff were nice but the hotel was not what we expected (4 stars) and a complete disappointment. The shower drain was clogged, the bedding sheets were rough from over bleaching, the hallways and doors were outdated and needed upkeep, the breakfast options were limited, the pullout couch had crumbs underneath.

    Kind Staff - Great Accommodations!

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. This was a stop on our way home from Boston and the staff provided great customer service with information about the area. Great location with clean and comfortable accommodations. Breakfast was a plus as well.

    Hard pass

Poorest customer service for a Hyatt. Asking for basic level of service is a bother for the staff here. Now I do want to point out there was 1 very happy and chipper front desk rep. He checked us in and it was fine…until the following days. Ryan continually has the worst scowl and clearly doesn’t care for the job. (Sir, just find something else and be happy…this clearly ain’t it for you) Anytime you asked for the bottles of water or asked for help, his tone and body language was so bothered with any guest interaction. (No joke, I dreaded having to interact with him, had my girlfriend do it) He’d impatiently tell you what to do and or lazily point in the direction of what you needed. Then when we requested a caramel latte the girl behind the counter was on a FaceTime with a friend, and impatiently told us she could only do drinks with espresso in it…(which confused us because don’t lattes have espresso in them?) and she proceeded to make a latte with very diluted espresso water (basically hot water), milk, and caramel. She didn’t charge us for it, but it was clear she didn’t know what a latte was and we ended up throwing it away because it tasted so bad. Now the breakfast was the only great thing here. High fives all around for that! Staff in the back making food, you’re great…now keeping coffee filled was an issue during breakfast. We just decided to go to Dunkin going forward since coffee was basically unavailable here. Now the gym is a bit unsanitary (rusted weights & equipment with high temps/humidity). The hallway was cooler than that little room and mind you I’ve stayed in humid places before and the hotel gym never had such bad rust and high temps. And it was clear the main service the gym gets is refilling the towels and sometimes the mini water bottles. The floors are a little crusty and obviously haven’t been vacuumed or mopped and the machines are rusted so it wasn’t great trying to use the equipment. We bought workout gloves to minimize physical hand contact. And the pool…let’s say despite bringing in a bathing suite, I chose not to use it because it was so murky blue. Is that a bad thing? Not really but it’s also an extremely tiny pool and it looks like lots of chemicals get poured in to “keep it clean”. So decided against using it at all on this trip as it honestly looked unsanitary. Now housekeeping was strange, I realized midway into our trip they only service if you request it, fine…but on our last day, we had someone aggressively knock on all doors of our floor asking if they needed cleaning services. Not a bad thing, but also…you refused when I asked past a certain time (which was my mistake, the paper does state cleanings must be requested before 9am) and then the next day you come asking everyone at 9:30am. My issue is the inconsistency. Did we need a room clean at this point? Yes, wouldve been nice but me and my family keep things pretty tidy thus far. Did I take them up on their offer? No, Im in the middle of getting ready…you cannot come clean my room at this moment..and it’s my last day anyways. At this point housekeeping was a luxury. So…this trip was a lot of don’t bother asking for help/services since the attitude and overall hospitality was below standards. Had I only stayed 3 nights, probably wouldn’t have noticed…but my extended stay in Baltimore allowed me to witness the low level of service. If you’re looking and know you’re here for a short stay, it’s like a best western. But if you’re here for an extended time, just have zero expectations. They say Baltimore is the city of firsts…and it was the first time I’ve witnessed such low quality hospitality.

    Always return to this hotel!

5 star stay, always! This has been our 5th visit to Baltimore the last 2 years and we have always stayed at this hotel. Location is fantastic, parking is easy and secure, staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast included is nice, and just overall has been our home away from home. Don’t hesitate to book!

    Disappointed

Overall disappointing. Our impression was Hyatt was a more luxurious brand than we usually stay in. And the price seemed to reflect this. However multiple issues in the room and with the breakfast. Staff was great. Room was clean. Nice view as requested. But disappointed in the quality of the stay.

    Hoping for more

Great location. Subpar room and staff. Dated furniture and very loud door noise from hall at all hours. Parking was very convenient and easy to use.

    Great stay

Great experience here. Front desk personnel very helpful. Location convenient to all Inner Harbor and Fell’s Point attractions. Breakfast offerings better than expected. Nice small pool, peaceful because you reserve your time there. I’d happily return to this hotel.

    Gross, Dirty, Overpriced.

This hotel is disgusting. The carpets are stained, couches are stained, dirty stained blankets. Smells like cigarettes and weed in the room. Valet service is not responsive. Front desk staff does not know how to communicate. Waited 30 minutes for my car to be brought around when no one was there or no where to be found re valet; Room was filthy at 284.00, I'd expect a clean blanket. DISGUSTING! AVOID!
