Good value Hyatt with good location
It’s an excellent location of, however if you wanna go to the casino, the shuttle is very limited this time of year. My room was a little more beat up than typical, but the staff was pretty good other than one night of sleep lost due to noise in the parking lot, I’d recommend the place.
Will stay again.
Hyatt Place Unicasville was clean, safe and a convenient location to stores, food and the concert venue where we were attending a show. The staff we interacted with were friendly. Great rates for the area.
Don't Let the High Ratings Fool You
The staff was friendly when I brought up my concerns, but I would never recommend Hyatt Place to family or friends. We paid for a king room on a high floor, and as soon as we walked in, the room felt damp. The towels and toilet paper in the bathroom were damp, the rug was outdated and damp, the bed sheets were damp, and overall it was an unacceptable room. By the time we checked in, we had to quickly change and leave for our dinner reservation at Foxwoods, so we didn't have the opportunity to address this on our first day because we got back late from the casino. Probably unintentional, but the alarm clock in our room went off at 5am. We woke up startled and unplugged it from the wall entirely. 8 minutes later, it went off again, but couldn't get back to sleep! An hour or so later, I approached the front desk about the damp room, and the woman said she could move us into another room without me having to ask. I thanked her, got the breakfast (awful, bland food) and ultimately decided after breakfast to leave the hotel entirely. By the time we checked out, the GM was working the front desk and gave us $50 off the one-night stay, which I thought was generous. He confirmed that the room felt damp by the A/C, and I was surprised he specified that because I did not convey that to the first woman I spoke with. The whole room was damp, not just in a specific area of the room, which I told him. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the hotel is in shambles, the breakfast is overly basic, and the room was something I hope I never encounter again. I'm astonished this hotel is considered 3-star and highly rated on Google Maps and TripAdvisor.
Nice comfortable hotel close to many attractions
Nice clean hotel. Nice location, short drive to the casinos, Mystic, and other places. Nice breakfast. Clean pool, easy parking.
Great experience!
Overall great experience. Price was a little high. The room was very clean Very clean. and roomy. The bed was very comfortable. the staff actually had personality, and had conversation instead of just doing their job
Find a different hotel
This hotel is worn out. I would not stay here at all. It is not clean, the termostat does not work, and the bathroom light flashed at all times like we were in an interrogation room
Good hotel
Dated, overpriced, breakfast was just ok. Front desk staff was amazing, shuttle to casino was awesome. If you dont want to pay for casino hotel, this is a good option. Bar also in lobby. We didn't use, but looked nice.
Great stay
Very nice hotel, beautifully designed rooms with artistic painting colors combinations. Hotel looks a little bit outdated. Full breakfast is a big plus and it was served in time and until the very end of the time assigned. The only suggestion I would put-the hotel sign is not visible from the road, when you drive. It is very easy to miss the turn. I would recommend to put a bigger sign with a hotel name facing the main road instead of facing the bushes. I would definitely recommend that hotel.
Nice
Very nice place to stay see water front and aquarium......... ...??,......,. ..... . .............................
great option near casino
stayed while we were vending at a convention at Mohegan, made a great “home base” during a hectic weekend. clean and had a filling breakfast. room was comfortable. we didn’t need any hands on help from staff - to me that means everything was functioning and maintained in the background
I would stay there again
It was amazing I would come there all the time just to get away with family or friends or my husband or boyfriend. Everything was amazing
Worth staying here if going to Mohegan Sun
Location was great, short shuttle ride to Mohegan Sun and many shuttle times. Rooms were great, big, clean and nice kitchenette and work area if needed
Great stay
Great location, fantastic rooms , very helpful friendly staff, adequate breakfast. Online check in was complicated but was easily resolved when checking in. Pool and fitness center looked good even though we didn't use either.
Relaxation
Excellent scenery, wonderful customer service, clean rooms perfect relaxing experience! The director of sales went over and beyond
Unclean Rooms
I stayed overnight with a colleague for business. Both of us had rooms that were not cleaned well. Hers was not vacuumed and had goldfish crackers on the floor along with other things and in my room, my bedding had spots all over it. The staff addressed the concerns by vacuuming her room and giving me a new room, but it left me feeling uneasy. Overall, the rooms are old and dingy and in need of a remodel and a good cleaning. Staff was friendly.
Well worth it!
Stayed overnight for a wedding - hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Was able to check in early which was a bonus. Breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and the room was a very nice size.
Great place at a good price.
Great location close to the casino. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Staff was pleasant. Having the continental breakfast was a nice treat.
Amazing stay

Multiple Incidents for a One Night Stay
Here are the six items that made my stay horrible: (1) I had three rooms and one of the three rooms (room 328) smelt like cigarette smoke, wet carpet, and mold. I would have loved to call downstairs and change my room (but the phone did not work) and we were exhausted from the long day and the late check in and knew we were only staying one night. (2) As mentioned above, Room 328's phone did not work. (3) After settling in, we realized that that the AC did not work as well. Clearly room 328 should have not been offered to any guest but it was. (4) Then once settling in, I used a bowl and the microwave in the lobby to fix my 6 year old Autistic daughter Ramen Soup (she is very particular in what she eats) which I asked Damien whether I could and he said yes. Well, Tracy the bartender did not like that I used a bowl and she did not like that I was taking too long with the microwave as it seemed she wanted to heat up something as well and did not want to wait. After completing my heat up, she verbally assaulted me and said that I can not use the bowl and I can not use the microwave that long and I calmly explained to her that I got permission from Damian. I never been so hurt and embarrassed and her tone and demeaner was so not called for. (5) Later on that night, I came down for a water, and a new front host was there and it seems like Tracy gave her her version of the story and then she was very passive aggressive to me in just asking for water and asking what time was breakfast the following morning. After that interaction, I honestly could not wait to leave. (6) Around 11am-12pm the Sunday Morning (June 7th), there was no hot water in any of the three rooms. I am a loyal Hyatt / Unlimited Vacation customer and I have never ever had such a bad stay.
Great Hotel Experience
Location is so close to Mohegan casino. Atmosphere was relaxing. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast!
