Room was quieter than I expected for a airport hotel

While there was a gentle hum of the HVAC system in my room, I was happy that I couldn't hear loud airplanes or interstate traffic.

    Clean hotel

I am an executive at IBM, a 100 billion dollar company managing employees all over the world. I have also stayed at Hyatt all over the world for over 20 years and have had the privilege to meet many Hyatt employees. Myia at check in Is by one of the best Hyatt employees I have had the pleasure be greeted by. Her energy, attention to detail and her managerial skills are the best. I am very impressed with her, communication skills and professional demeanor. I witnesses her ability to calm an angry and frustrated guests' I would highly recommend her promotion. Thank you Myia for your professionalism

    Gone down

Hotel not as expected, Hyatt has really gone down. Will not again choose to stay at a Hyatt. Very low class reception area, carpet dirty in hallways and room area missing furniture.

    No sleep hotel

Hyatt place this one has to be the worst I've stayed at. The hotel staff was pleasant and that was the best part of the stay. High noise hotel, constant traffic noise, doors closing, thin floors and walls. The bed was louder lying on the floor so bad then the pillows had no comfort to them. Shower floor had moldy spots throughout. Needless to say we left at 3 a.m. since we could not sleep. Do not recommend even tho it's close to the airport.

    Great value

Lovely room for the money - great value. Staff helpful. Nice breakfast. Free parking. As good as it gets for a budget hotel.

Excellent staff presence at a Hyatt Place

I have always recommended this hotel and now needed it for a one night stay near my house. It was great, affordable and convenient

    Overall great

I travel frequently for work and stay in this chain a lot. This location stood out because the rooms are updated. No carpet! The breakfast was really good and the staff were really friendly and helpful. This trip was for a concert at the Lakewood amphitheater and it was a really reasonable distance from the amphitheater

    Overall terrible experience

I have been a Hyatt member for many years. And almost exclusively stay at Hyatt Place hotels because I find them to be incredibly consistent and comfortable/welcoming stays. But this was my first stay that was absolutely awful. From the start it was 85 degrees on the 6th floor where we were staying. Then our hotel room was set to 70 degrees, but for two days the room never got below 80 degrees, and on the 2nd night the AC stopped working entirely. We asked around midnight to get help with this, and the woman at the desk did come to check and agreed the AC was broken so she moved us to another room on the 6th floor. However when we were moved to that room that AC didn’t cool the room ether and that room never got below 81 degrees. When we returned to the hotel on the third night the power for the entire hotel was out. I completely understand that was out of the hotels control, but it still was an awful thing to experience. So the hotel was swelteringly hot, and our room was on the 6th floor so we had to climb 6 flights of stairs in order to get to it, and the room itself was close to 90 degrees. With no hope in sight of the power coming back that night we decided to cut our loses and book a stay at Hyatt Place Atlanta/Buckhead instead, and thank god we did because our experience there was night and day better than Airport North. The staff at airport north was fine, however sometimes they came off as short/impatient with any questions that were presented to them, even if they were presented in a kind/respectful way. However the manager did refund our cost for the two nights that we decided to not stay and instead checkout and switch hotels, which seemed more than fair and was greatly appreciated. So I do want to acknowledge them for taking care of us in that aspect. Overall this was by far the worst experience I have had with any Hyatt hotel I’ve stayed, and I was incredibly disappointed because for years until now I’ve always loved the consistency of Hyatt Place. But I will never, ever stay at this location again, and if asked I will let everyone know to avoid it. I never leave negative reviews because I don’t like being negative like this. But this was such a miserable experience that I really need to send feedback so hopefully it will not happen to anyone in the future. Hopefully this location can improve and provide the kind of standard and comfort that Hyatt place normally has

Don’t plan on the shuttle picking you up from the airport.

I chose this hotel because of its vicinity to the airport and the free airport shuttle. When I arrived at ATL I called the hotel and was very rudely told the shuttle came every 30 minutes and the person hung up on me. After waiting over an hour for the airport shuttle, I ordered an uber. The person on the phone could’ve still been rude but at least tell me the shuttle wouldn’t come and I could order an uber then so I wouldn’t have waited in the heat for over an hour.

    Best Hotel in Airport Area

The staff and rooms are exceptional! All employees from the front desk to the kitchen and housekeepers are kind and professional!

    Come on, Hyatt...

Rooms are horrible, cleanliness very questionable, and if you like a humid room with a touch of mold even with a/c on, this is your spot. Location was convenient, but there are several hotels in the area that I will explore next time around.

    Great experience

Recently stayed at the Hyatt North for a business trip. Despite mixed reviews, my experience was a good one. The hospitality & service was exceptional. My room was well tailored & nice. I really enjoyed it & wish I could’ve stayed longer. Love that it was 5 mins away from the airport & provided shuttle service.

    Hyatt Saves the Night

Due to aircraft maintenance I missed my connecting flight home. I was originally on the last flight of the evening and was rebooked for the first flight out. Due to miscommunication, I was forced to leave the secure gate area and could not reenter. I needed a place to sleep securely for a few hours and I chose the Hyatt Place North. They provided a shuttle to and from the airport. The rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly. hey offer a complementary breakfast, but unfortunately, I could not partake, as I had to catch my new flight. I am sure there are other amenities, but I was only there for 5 hours.

    Hyatt for the win!

Nice clean rooms. The overall staff was friendly and had a willingness to want to assist you in every way. The breakfast was not what I expected especially since I was going to the "South".

Leave the gun, take the cheese grits.

The marketing team is fumbling the ball by not featuring their breakfast buffet. The cheese grits were the best I've ever had (57 y/o fat man who lived in the south his entire life). Give the ladies in the kitchen a little more money in their breakfast budget, feature it in your marketing, and unapologetically get $10-15 more per night per room...I know my cheap self would pay extra for that breakfast when traveling.

    Great option neat the airport!

This location was clean and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast wasn't as good as some other locations I've visited, but was adequate for a free breakfast.

Hotel and Front Desk Staff --An Embarrassment to the Hyatt Brand

The Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport-North property and front desk staff are an embarrassment to the Hyatt brand. The front desk staff is visibly and audibly unprofessiona and apathetic ---not at all in line with Hyatt customer service standards and operational philosophy. They would do well to take a course on interpersonal communication skills and customer experience training. The moment you enter the property you are greeted with an overpowering cheap masking deodorizer odor that permeates throughout. The guest room wreaks of the same masking deodorizer coupled with the damp, musty smell from the raucous air conditioner unit. The room is laden with dust and the sofa is visibly dirty and stained--I had to place towels down before sitting. This was an overall highly unpleasant stay. Thankfully if was only for one night.

    Be more aware

Well besides me hearing someone heaving like a cat that's got hairball that's not coming up, and the nasty remote control that's about it.
