Will not return to this hotel
If I could give it a zero I would. Rooms weren’t ready. Housekeeping was hanging out on our couches with a half clean room 45 minutes after checking. No Manager onsite and did not contact us after we asked them to call us.
Pretty Great First Experience at Hyatt Hotels!
Absolutely prime location! Amazing hotel and staff! But due to the hurricane, technology failed and I wasn't able to get a key card made until the next day 5 hours before checkout! I will still recommend booking a room if visiting Athens, GA on game day and I will be returning in the future!

Great Hyatt!
What a great stay in downtown Athens. The hotel was easy to access and everything was seamless. It was extremely clean and well kept. If I’m ever back in Athens I will definitely return.

College Visit
Very clean!! Great breakfast and Lobby. Parking was attached. Walkable to Downtown and to the Stadium. Will stay there again in the future.

Beware the top floor
Make sure you don’t stay on the top floor on the weekend. The rooftop bar was making noise until well past midnight. The rooms were fine (stained pillow case on my sons bed), but kind of expected more of Hyatt.

A night in Athens
I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The location is excellent—convenient to everything and a great place to stay whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. The level of service was exceptional, and they genuinely made me feel welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great location, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service. I look forward to staying here again!

When in Athens…
Great location, reasonably priced, responsive staff (thank you Rock) clean rooms, and must try chicken fingers/tenders (seriously)! The rooftop patio/bar is a nice spot to unwind or just to get a quick view of Athens.

Great location and fresh feeling hotel.
Great location and hotel. Easy walking distance to the UGA campus (if you are okay with walking places). Great rooftop bar makes it an evening destination and not just a place to sleep. And the staff is super, super friendly. And you gotta love Hyatt Place breakfasts.

Perfect Stay
Great stay! We stopped in Athens to check out U of GA and decided to stay over night. The hotel was last minute and an excellent stay. They did everything correctly. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with great eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt bar, fresh fruit…. It was real food and really tasty. Our room was clean and we felt very safe. Such a beautiful hotel in a beautiful spot. I highly recommend it!

Great hotel, long wait times for food/drinks
The hotel is very nice, but the restaurant and bar are extremely understaffed and take a very long time to get your orders.

This is an outstanding hotel within walking distance of all that downtown Athens and north campus has to offer! I can’t wait to stay here again! Very clean with fantastic staff and a great breakfast!

Great Stay
Stayed for our anniversary to enjoy the downtown Athens area. The hotel was convenient to the downtown area. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfy. We loved the Hybar on the roof.

Great Place to Stay
This is a great hotel in a great location. I was there with my daughter for orientation at UGA. The room was very nice and comfortable. I was able to walk to get something to eat close by. I was able to bring back the food I didn't finish and place it in my in room refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. plenty of pillows and blankets.

Great place

Great location in the heart of Athens! Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly. Ample parking onsite. Large Lobby and Breakfast area. Overall, a good stay in a very good location.

Downtown Athens Hyatt---I highly recommend.
Perfect Athens location. Hotel is highly recommended if you need to be close to campus and downtown. I'm a big fan. They took very good care of myself and my fraternity brothers for a reunion.

Average HP with poor globalist recognition
Very typical Hyatt Place with inferior globalist recognition. I know the price is reflective of the location, but I expected this hotel to be somewhat elevated at nearly 4x the points cost of similar HPs. I was not recognized as a globalist during my stay and was not upgraded to even a high floor room despite high floor rooms (and suites) clearly showing as available. When I checked in, the clerk did not give any information about the amenities (time for breakfast, parking details) without me asking directly. She did not offer water. When I requested water later in the day, I had to haggle with the clerk to get two bottles (she stated I was entitled to one).

Bereavement stay
In town for a funeral. Very nice hotel. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Only thing I didn’t like was no microwave in the room.
