Helpful kind staff. Easy & fast check in and out. Perfectly located near the airport. Fun to watch the Hot Air Balloon’s in the morning, from our room ( drinking yummy coffee!)
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
Watching the hot air balloons from your room over coffee is a lovely Albuquerque morning, and we are glad you got to enjoy it! Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport was a convenient fit for your trip. We have passed your kind words along to our team. We are glad check-in and checkout were quick and easy, and we would love to host you again!
Poor cleanliness and overdue for renovation
I stayed in room 201 at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, and cleanliness was the biggest disappointment. There were broken pieces of potato chips on the floor, smeary mirrors, and shower doors covered in haze. All the drains were slow, and the room smelled strongly of cleaning products despite the visibly dirty surfaces. The carpet had so many stains that I avoided going barefoot throughout my stay. It really needs replacing, along with more attention to basic housekeeping. The hotel also had only one barely working elevator, so I used the stairs throughout my visit. The property feels overdue for a major renovation, but basic cleanliness shouldn’t have to wait for one. Check-in was quick and covered the basics, although I had to call later to ask about breakfast hours. My interaction with staff was otherwise minimal. The room’s cleanliness and condition would make me reluctant to stay here again.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review

Your guest room should feel ready for you to settle in, and we understand how disappointing it was to feel otherwise. Your concerns about the property's upkeep and communication have been shared with the teams responsible for each area. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Elevators aren’t working and the breakfast is terrible. The coffee is lighter than the color of tea. In addition, it’s pulling teeth to find anyone at the front desk. I was supposed to stay here 2 weeks in a row and I cancelled my 2nd week’s stay soon after I checked in. It’s an outdated hotel, which doesn’t bother me. It’s the lack of staff, the lack of coffee (no, light and see-through coffee doesn’t count), and lack of elevators that makes it unacceptable.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
We are sorry that the elevator concern you described disrupted your planned two-week stay and led you to cancel the second week. Your comments about breakfast and the front desk experience have been shared with the teams responsible for each area. We appreciate you taking the time to explain what prompted your decision.
Did not meet expectations
Only one elevator operating with lots of folks in town for Balloon Fiesta was disappointing. We were on the fifth floor so it wasn’t awful to take the stairs but some days we were pretty beat from exploring. Room was not serviced during our five night stay until the last day around 3:30pm the housekeeper knocked to see if we needed anything. No “do not disturb/service room” sign available in the room so that could be the reason they didn’t service the room. Our family staging on the second floor had their garbage emptied one day. The couch was stained pretty badly in our room, 511, and should be addressed. The website amenities were a bit misleading. If there was a restaurant and bar I didn’t see it. The pool was open seasonally but did not clearly state which dates. Parking is $20/day. Breakfast was very good. They had breakfast bags available with a piece of fruit, yogurt, danish and juice box for Balloon Fiesta visitors leaving before breakfast was available. The beds were very comfortable.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
We are sorry that limited elevator access added frustration after full days exploring during Balloon Fiesta. Your comments about service and upkeep in your room have been shared with the teams responsible for each area. We are glad the breakfast bags were helpful for your early mornings. It is also good to know your room’s beds offered your family a comfortable place to rest. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.
My go-to hotel in Albuquerque
Very comfortable hotel, with plenty of space and nice touches like real glasses and coffee cups. The breakfast was a step above most hotels in this category.

Worst night of sleep
The beds were so uncomfortable we both woke up in the middle of the night with back aches that lasted for a couple days. We didn't sleep at all.

Beth, we are sorry you were unable to rest comfortably and were left with lingering discomfort afterward. Your comments about the comfort of your room have been shared with our Guest Relations team. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
ABQ quick, easy and comfortable
The price was great and the construction didn't affect my stay. Location to the airport and the airport shuttle were the reasons I chose this Hyatt Place and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the shuttle arrived at the airport and how close the hotel was. I was also surprise at the reasonable rate - which is not the norm for HP. I suspect it was because of the remodel/construction, which didn't affect my stay. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, just as I expected it to be from previous Hyatt Place stays. Staff was very kind and really helpful to me and other guests who had arrived just after me because of diverted or rerouted flights.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
A quick airport connection should feel exactly this easy, and we are glad Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport made your travel day more comfortable. It is especially rewarding to hear that our shuttle arrived promptly when you needed it. We are also pleased that the ongoing construction did not disrupt your stay or the value you found in your rate. Your room provided the quiet and comfort you expected from Hyatt Place. Our team was happy to assist you and fellow travelers arriving after diverted flights. We hope to make your next trip through Albuquerque just as smooth!
Spacious room, clean, airport shuttle provided
Overall hotel facility and room clean. Room spacious with 2 queen beds, sofa bed in living space, desk, two sinks. AC worked well. One elevator was down and the only working elevator was a little slow. Airport shuttle provided but you need to call upon arrival or book in advance for ride to airport. Quick 5min ride to airport.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
Spacious accommodations and a convenient airport connection made your visit to Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport a pleasure to read about! We are glad your room offered plenty of space for your group and that the air conditioning worked well. It is also great to know the cleanliness of your room and the hotel stood out during your stay. Our airport shuttle is a helpful option, and we appreciate you clarifying that guests should call upon arrival or reserve an airport ride in advance. We have also shared your note about the elevator availability and slower service with our team. We hope to welcome you back for another comfortable visit!
Sheets weren’t changed in 2 rooms
Truly, one of the worst experiences we’ve had in any hotel and we travel a lot. We arrived in the first room to find the floor, not vacuumed and the couch stained. It was late, so we decided to just look past it and went to get into bed and found the sheets also stained (looked like blood) and hair in the bed. They had clearly not been changed for sometime. We went down and asked for another room and were accommodated. We arrived at that room and found the sheets dirty as well. One room is an oversight and two or more rooms is a systemic issue. We tried to find another hotel but they were all booked so we went down and asked for more sheets and changed them ourselves. The poor girl at the front desk must have heard a lot of complaints. She had another set of sheets on the counter for another room. She was friendly and helpful.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
Keith, we are deeply sorry to read about your experience and the condition of your guest rooms during your recent stay. Finding your room in that state is unacceptable and not the standard we aim to uphold. It is especially disappointing that this happened in both rooms and that you felt you needed to change the sheets yourself. This situation is being shared directly with our housekeeping leadership so we can address the breakdown in cleanliness and process. Our Guest Relations team will also use your feedback as a reminder of how critical every detail of your visit is to us. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and for acknowledging the kindness shown by our front desk team member. Thank you again for giving us the chance to learn from your experience.
Not what I was expecting
This hotel needs updating for sure!!!! The only working elevator was so loud we heard it all night. They did give us a sound machine which did help some but not enough. The ac barley worked, the room was hot! In the lobby they had multiple fans going because it was hot down there. With it being old the floors were pretty gross
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
Thank you, Stormy, for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear about the maintenance and comfort concerns you encountered, especially the noise from the elevator and the temperature issues in both your room and the lobby. Your comments will be shared with our engineering and housekeeping teams so we can address these areas more effectively. We appreciate you letting us know, and we are grateful for the opportunity to improve.
SAVE YOUR MONEY - Lack of hotel cleanliness results in Traumatic experience
Save you money, this hotel does NOT CARE about its customers. It is filthy and in disrepair. The carpet in the room is black, did not want to take off my shoes. The real shocker for me was when I pulled back the sheets and saw all kinds of dark human hair, on the sheets and pillow. Front desk lady came and changed the sheets, but I was grossed out at the point. I called customer service, and they want to offer me enough points to stay a night free and another Hyatt 2-start hotel. When I told them no thank-you, and wanted a refund, they said they would escalate, but I have heard nothing back.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review

Lovely stay!
Pleasant experience. For the first time as a Globalist, I was welcomed with a personalized greeting card and a chocolate. It's not a lot but it made a huge difference for me to write this review. Especially for a Hyatt Place.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
It is so rewarding for our team to hear how much those small touches meant to you, Kishen. We are delighted you enjoyed your first stay as a Globalist here at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport and that the personalized card and chocolate made your visit stand out. We would love the opportunity to welcome you again on your next trip!
Would not stay again
Stayed 2 nights from 7/2-7/4. This was the 4th Hyatt Place I have stayed at this year and easily the worst. One out of two elevators was not working the first two days. On the last day, neither was working. Totally unacceptable for a 6 story hotel. Room was dated and not very clean. A group of teens were loud in the hallway and repeatedly banged on our door in the middle of the night both nights. Would not stay here again.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
Thank you, Lisa, for taking the time to share your experience with us. Cost of room was more than advertised online. Shuttle was not able to take us to airport for a early morning flight......

This hotel needs a total overhaul -- do not waste your money!!
Room was not clean, everything except for the beds needs to be refurbished. Blood was on the blackout curtains by the window. Placement of alarm was directly in line of sight with bed and it flashed all night erratically. The coffee maker was broken and released steam that scalded me. I watched staff in the breakfast area try to mop up a spill with their feet. Very bad experience, and overpriced.

Disappointed
We were only there 1 night on a road trip. It was easy to get to from the highway. The room was of poor quality for a Hyatt Place. The shower did not have conditioner nor body wash bottles filled at all. One of the beds had a mattress with a sink hole in the middle making sleep impossible in a shared double bed. Very disappointed with this hotel and we almost always stay in Hyatts when traveling.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Jennifer. We are truly sorry your stay did not reflect the standards you expect from us or from Hyatt hotels. The condition of your room and the amenities you described are not reflective of what we strive to provide, and we have already shared your feedback with our housekeeping and engineering teams so they can take a closer look. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future to show you a much improved visit.
Home away from home.
