We Love The Place
We have been staying at the Hyatt House White Plains for repeatedly for over 6 years as it is close to where my mom (104) lived in assisted living. The hotel is great for pet owners and the combination of kitchen facilities and being close to Wegman's which makes it very convenient. The bar is also a great place for a nightcap. We love the place
Excellent hotel!
Great hotel at a great price! The hotel is very clean and inviting. The parking is easy and it is right down the street from Wegman's! Rooms have a fridge and microwave. Very relaxing!

Stay Away
Stay Away $300 for a beat up and worn out Motel. Rude staff, empty market. Only thing good i can say is the hotel was clean but worn out.

We understand your visit didn't meet your expectations. The concerns you raised about the property and service are important, and we recognize how they can shape the overall impression of a stay. It is good to know that cleanliness met your expectations. We hope you’ll consider returning in the future and give us the opportunity to provide a more comfortable, welcoming experience. Disappointing...
Overall, the hotel is acceptable, but the internet is painfully slow. In 2026, fast and reliable Wi-Fi should be a basic expectation, and dealing with such a poor connection is extremely frustrating. More disappointing, however, was the complete lack of housekeeping: my room was not cleaned, and my bed was not made. This is unacceptable when paying for a hotel stay. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I spent 160 nights at Hyatt properties last year and have already spent 120 nights this year. This is the first time my room has been left entirely unserviced, and I am extremely unhappy. These are basic standards of hospitality, and I expect Hyatt to meet them consistently.

Best stay yet - huge turnaround under new management!
The new management, Steven Cabreja and his entire team, have done a tremendous job in turning this place around! We've stayed here for the last 5 summers, and this has been, by far, our best experience ever. After last years experience we honestly hesitated to return, so we're so glad we decided to give it one last shot. Thank you, Steven & Staff for making this place feel more like a 5 star experience! Keep up the great work!!!

Hyatt Place White Plains
I stay at this location regularly and I was a bit underwhelmed during my last stay. I think the hotel can do more to provide more consistent service and should address room conditions post people staying in rooms prior to turning the room over to the next guest (ie smell in room, temperature, all amenities in place in room, etc)
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt House White Plains, responded to this review
We’re sorry your most recent visit did not feel as well prepared as your previous stays with us. We understand that the condition of a room on arrival can make a big difference, and we regret that this visit left you disappointed. Your continued loyalty means a lot to us, and we hope to provide the level of service you’ve come to expect next time. Steven Cabreja General Manager

ADA rooms are NOT GUARANTEED even after reserving them!
I'm a paraplegic Navy Veteran and reserved an ADA room Wed Sept 2-6th and when I arrived at 2am (after traveling all day), was told my room had been "given away" and they had no ADA rooms available and I had to leave to find a place to sleep at another hotel. I was shocked. I asked where I was going to sleep and was told by the night manager, "not here!" We went across town to the Residence Inn at 4am to sleep. I came back the next day for a different ADA King room with accessible bathtub (Sep 3-6th). The bed was not ADA height (too high for a safe wheelchair transfer), the bathtub had been poorly repainted and was peeling paint (leaving paint chips on my body), the toilet was leaking, there was no extra toilet paper, and no bar soap. The day manager said she would discount my bill by $100 for 2 nights, which did not happen when I looked at the Folio after leaving. The bar never had a real bartender for multiple nights and there was other Hyatt staff behind the bar with zero experience. Guests actually had to go behind the bar to help the non-bartenders find liquor, make drinks, and help out. Ridiculous.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt House White Plains, responded to this review
We’re sorry to hear about the challenges you faced, particularly regarding the ADA room availability and room conditions. We also understand your concern about the billing adjustment and the experience at the bar, and we regret that these matters were not handled as expected. We’ll share these points with the appropriate teams so they receive proper attention. We hope to have the opportunity to provide a stay that better meets your needs in the future. The most accommodating & friendly hotel experience ever! They made what could have been a challenging transition with my 86-year-old mom so easy.

End of August Stay
The location was easy to find. I was there for a wedding but the hotel seems more geared to business meetings but that didn't affect my stay. The room was spacious and clean. Noise in the hallways was virtually nonexistent. The room had a kitchenette, living room bathroom and bedroom.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt House White Plains, responded to this review
It’s nice to know that the quiet surroundings and in-room amenities made your stay comfortable. We’re also glad that you found the location convenient for your visit and that the spacious room worked well for you. We’re happy that the hotel suited your visit for the wedding, and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Steven Cabreja General Manager
Unclean Sheets
When I went to climb into bed my sheets were full of sand. When I asked for a replacement, they were unable to provide new sheets but accommodated with a blanket, that I was able to replace myself.
General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Hyatt House White Plains, responded to this review
We’re sorry to hear about the issue with the sheets and understand your concern. We also regret that a replacement was not available when requested. We’ll use your feedback to improve our housekeeping service and hope to provide a more comfortable stay next time. Steven Cabreja General Manager

Perfect oasis during medical travel
I traveled to the area for a three-day medical appointment. The hotel is located with easy access to major thoroughfares, but you would never know because it's nestled by trees. My suite had all the amenities I needed and was nice and clean without strong odors. (I am sensitive to strong smells.) All staff I interacted with were friendly, courteous and helpful. I will certainly return to Hyatt House White Plains on future medical visits!

Will not be coming back
Horrible, disgusting hotel. The rooms were disgusting, and they are understaffed. Might as well just stay at a motel instead of here.
