Don't expect too much and you won't get let down
I am a Hyatt Discoverist. Though this is the lowest status, I do carry the credit card and stay at Hyatts more than any other hotels. Our hotel was not ready until 2.5 hours past check in time. We were not offered an apology, a place to store our luggage or any type of compensation. We ate in the restaurant and our group was treated like an inconvenience. We had to chase down wait staff and part of our group left to go somewhere else for dessert because it was faster.

Excellent stay
Excellent stay in conveniently located hotel, near shops and restaurants. Good buffet breakfast and very useful self service laundry, which was great for washing dirty safari clothes!

a great hotel if you are staying for work!
Excellent hotel especially for long stay. very comfortable lots of natural light and air flow. close to the rosebank mall (yes you can walk there even though this isJHB) the food is great. homely and wont burn a hole in your pocket. The gym is well equipped, neat and clean with no broken or unattended items. a MASSIVE plus!

Perfect stay
Excellent choice, great breakfast, really a nice place to stay just a few steps from the centre of Rosebank. Exceeded my expectations.

Good value hotel with excellent service in a great location
Overall experience staying at this property twice during our visit was good. Although technically a serviced apartment property, it felt more like a 3-star hotel. The room design is a bit dated and could do with a few updates (e.g. bathroom sink, shower), but rooms were quiet, functional, and a good value. Beds and linens were in good condition and comfortable, breakfast buffet was excellent, and staff were always available and super-helpful. Great location - close to Rosebank Mall and restaurants.

Welcoming multicultural vibe
The hotel had a welcoming vibe from passing through the secure entry point to my first step through the door and this included engagement with the staff. While the reception, foyer, restaurant was compact it felt homely and organised. My room was very well presented, although the couch was the most uncomfortable that I had encountered; however, this was a minor annoyance. I totally enjoyed the breakfast offering; it included an range of cold and hot dishes - the later were delicious. I opted to have the meal in the alfresco area, which was a totally relaxing space. I hadn't registered that the hotel was a Halal establishment; in a way this seemed to enhance the vibrancy of the place. Guest are permit to bring alcohol from outside to consume in theirs rooms or beside the pool. Fortunately, the Rosebank shopping precinct was within easy walking distance; it offered a wide variety services in a space that feelled safe. It was a totally enjoyable stay.

Great option in Rosebank
Good value for money. Good food, good location, good airport transfer. Clean and modern. Was recommended by family who lives locally.

Overall good experience
The accommodation is per the pictures. I enjoyed the very hot water and bathroom products. Virtually no noise from other guests and staff. Was happy with my stay.

A great place to stay

Never stay here!
Dreadful, from start to finish. The hotel has no bar, ( it’s a dry hotel), the telephone system was broken and the alternative what’s app communication system did not work as there was an internet outage. TV in lounge area didn’t work, and the ice machine was broken when we went to the lobby to get some ice. Poorly stocked room ( 1 glass between 2).

Pleasant stay
The Hotel was in a great location, nearby the Mall. The staff was hospitable. The rooms has a kitchenette. The Halal food in the restaurant was an added bonus.

The best Hyatt House!
The hotel is well-located, just around the corner from Rosebank mall with lots of restaurants and good shopping. The hotel and neighborhood felt secured. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was the best I’ve had at a Hyatt House! Very clean with good amenities including a rooftop pool with great views.

Good location and amazing staff
The location is convenient and also in a very safe area for a solo traveler. The staff exceeded my expectations, their friendliness, attention to detail and efforts to make me comfortable. There is construction nearby so I felt the need for ear plugs.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Comfortable Stay
Really nice stay at Hyatt House Rosebank. The location is hard to beat, Rosebank Mall and tons of restaurants are just a short walk away, which made everything super easy. Security at the entrance was good and gave a strong sense of safety. I stayed in a studio and found the room size more than enough. The bed was firm but very comfortable, slept great. The gym is small, but convenient and does the job if you want a quick workout. Big plus for the rooftop bar, great spot to relax. The rooftop pool, though, felt more like a visual feature than a place you’d actually want to use. Overall, the staff were extremely friendly and always smiling, which really made the stay pleasant. Would happily stay here again.

Excellent Stay at Hyatt House Rosebank I stayed at Hyatt House Rosebank while attending a conference nearby, and it was the perfect choice for a solo traveler. The service was outstanding—every staff member I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, making it easy to unwind after long conference days. The breakfast and restaurant food were fantastic, with a great variety and fresh ingredients. I also appreciated how conveniently located the hotel was—just steps away from Rosebank Mall, great restaurants, and transportation options. It made getting around and grabbing meals incredibly easy and safe. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’d highly recommend Hyatt House Rosebank to anyone visiting Johannesburg, especially for work or solo travel. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Clean but small, unfriendly and not worth the money
Rooms were tidy, reception staff friendly. Management friendly. Cons Bathroom sinks are TINY and the tap is placed awkwardly forward to cause water to always spill. Their check in and check out gate process is ridiculous. Every time you enter and leave you have to present the same documents, we have stayed at other places where it's still safe but the process is well thought out so that it is easier for regular guests so come in and out. (Fingerprint scanning etc) ONE LIFT, super super annoying, you are always waiting on lifts and staff use the same one so it becomes tedious constantly waiting on the lift. Rude staff, some staff gave us attitude when we asked for help whilst they were doing jobs purely because they felt it wasn't their problem but all we wanted to know was who could help us, which we wouldn't know, but we were met with attitude from them. Breakfast was okay, barely topped up dishes, it took a while to see top ups, additionally getting a coffee was extremely annoying, you had to ask a waiter who would use a machine which we ourselves can easily operate, but when you ask the staff for it, if they were overwhelmed with orders they gave you attitude again, if it's such a problem just let us get our own hot drinks?!
