Cons - Dripping toilet once every second. Bath door did not. Only one small sink. 3 outlets didn't work. Only one check-in clerk. A bit slow. Did not offer water bottles sitting behind counter; none in room. Breakfast was average, but only one employee was overwhelmed by crowd. Slow to refill food items. Bdr is a little small. Bottom of bed too close to dresser. Pros - Location. Cleanliness. Noise level . Value for 2 bdr suite in location. Kitchen, dining , living area fine.

Not happy with our stay this time. 11 nights and housekeeping never showed up although it was requested multiple times and the 'Do not Disturb' sign was not on the door. We had no phone in the room and were not kept abreast of the situation. The ADA shower leaked all over the floor because the shower curtain was too short. The phone in that bathroom did not work. The peepholes were filled in with something and painted over. I had to dig out the gunk so we could see out the peephole. Very dangerous. Previous visits to this hotel were always perfect. I don't know what happened.

Decent hotel and amenities. Room was clean but smelled musty. Countertops are ridiculously low both in the bathroom and kitchen. Even a shorter person would have to bend down to use the counters. Rooms are somewhat dated and in need of modernization and upgrades. For the price point, however, this is a decent hotel with lots of space in the rooms.

The Hyatt house was comfortable for the most part. We had a room issue day 1 , air conditioning didn't work. The pool wasn't very clean , the rail to get out of the pool was unstable and the cement holding it was cracked and broken. Breakfast was very good. Most staff was very friendly.

Very convenient to Dulles and lots of food choices nearby. Did not go into DC itslef. Was not sure about parking fee, but no overnight fee was charged. Many of the sites say $11.00. Would return. Would note that pool did not have lfloating ife ring arounf the pool

Nice room and great staff. The Wednesday night dinner was great and a nice way to meet others that were staying long term. The rooms were clean and all amenities that were needed were in the kitchen.

We had a very nice stay as a stop over on a long trip. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful and the room was very clean and well layed out. We appreciated the breakfast offered in the morning. This will definitely become our regular stopover on the long trip we take frequently.

reservation extension by phone not actually booked and arrived to no room and a sold out hotel (all hotels sold out in DMV area) so left in middle of night to impose on colleague to sleep on their hotel room couch. second night had a room and was mostly clean except found food scraps on floor on other side of bed.. housekeeping not so thorough. hotel a little dated.

I've stayed multiple times a year for over a decade at this hotel. The location both for business and recreation was always very convenient for me and with the new bike path directly at the hotel it is 10 out of 10. Previously, this venue has been nice and could be so, if the staff would dial up their service just one notch (and not down). This time, there was no reusable dishware at the breakfast available, and I was specifically told not to use any. Also, housekeeping would be once-a-week, and by once-a-week they mean no housekeeping if you stay less than 7 days.

This hotel is my go-to when I am in the Herdon area since its basically an apartment. Staff at this location are super nice and always willing to help. If you need something, just ask. Super clean and spacious rooms. I will go back over and over. TY HHH

Pleasant front desk staff. Quiet stay. Lots of restaurants close by. Outdoor pool only for summer. Comfortable bed.

Nice clean hotel with exceptional customer service. Bed was very comfortable. Room had a kitchenette stocked with all needs and very convenient.

I've stayed in this Hyatt before, so I anticipated a general level of moderate maintenance and upkeep. However, during my most recent stay, things were broken and not working in the two-bedroom suite my family and I occupied. One king bed's box spring was broken, which caused the bottom corner of the bed to slope downward. I slept on that side of the bed the first night and kept feeling like I was going to roll out. I investigated the next day and found the broken box spring. Luckily we had an extra towel in our suite that I could fold to put under the mattress to lift it a bit. In addition, the toilet in our bathroom didn't flush correctly each time. The water would recede but the suction was not enough to take the toilet paper. Several times when I tried to flush a second time, the stopper inside the tank would pop out of its seat, causing the toilet to run without stopping. I'd have to lift the lid of the tank and put the stopper back over its drain inside the tank. Lastly, we would've liked to use the gas logs in our suite (the hotel advertises them as an amenity), but they were not working. Our stay was four days long (Wednesday to Sunday), and we never received any housekeeping services. We had to remove our own trash and put it in the hallway for pickup. On Sunday when we needed to leave early to travel, the breakfast did not start at 7am. The breakfast attendant ran behind and when the doors to the breakfast area were finally opened at 7:10am, multiple supplies and condiments were still not out. Serving spoons were missing from the hot items, so the first customers had to use the little plastic spoons to dole out their own scrambled eggs and gravy. In comparison to my stay at this same Hyatt in August, my stay this month was worse. It was disappointing because I chose to bring my family to this hotel for a holiday trip, and it was affordable with the amount of space needed for our family of four. However, if we ever visit DC again, I'll pay a little more to stay in a hotel with beds and toilets that aren't broken.

Herndon Hyatt staff was polite and friendly. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. There is plenty of parking. Breakfast was good and freshly made. The only issue is that there are insufficient luggage carts. We waited for over an hour and were not able to find a cart. Drink refrigerator in snack area was broken drinks and water was hot, otherwise a good visit.

The staff here are great. The facility is a different story. The common areas are ok, the gym is nice, and there's new carpet in the hallways, but the rooms reek of mold. For the first time after a decade of staying with hyatt, I could not spend the whole night here. I ended up getting in my car in the middle of the night and leaving because whatever was in there was making me ill and nothing in the room made me feel comfortable taking even my shoes off, let alone going to sleep. The light switches are all filthy, the wall paper in the bathroom is peeling off, and where they have placed the towel shelf you hit your head every time you use the toilet. Touch surfaces (doors, etc) are grimy, the kitchen chair is so worn the pleather is coming off, the windows, which you try to open to get rid of the stench, are either broken and replaced with plexiglass (1 of 4), or dirty and don't stay up. It didn't ultimately matter, even with all the windows propped open there is no relief from the smell. I spent about 4 hours there, and didn't feel well again until the next day. This property falls well below hyatt brand expectations with the exception of the staff, who are uniformly courteous and competent. The hotel needs to close for a gut remodel (to the studs) and undergo some kind of remediation.

This is a good location just off the Fairfax Co. Parkway on a well traveled, yet quiet parkway. The parking lot is well lit as are the hallways. There are numerous eating establishments as well as 4 grocery stores and a Target store within a 10 minute drive on Elgin St. or Spring St. Since this is an extended stay with a full kitchen, you can save money on meals by eating in.

Great hotel. Overall stay was very good. This is the only place we stay . When we return visit(s) to seeing family since moving out of state.

Don’t stay here. It’s dirty! Old smells and we didn’t want to walk on the carpet or floors without shoes. It’s really bad and needs a complete overhaul.

Dirty and has a weird smell. This place has not been kept up and you can tell. Go spend your money on a better hotel! On the other hand, the complimentary breakfast is really good. They use real eggs instead of powder eggs.

This property has some nice features such as the 2 bedroom suites which is basically an apartment. The employees are super friendly and always eager to help. Now they have onsite menu which for anytime of the day is pretty convenient. If you need anything, just ask, I'm sure they will be able to address your concern/request.
