Business trip-week’s stay
Great location, helpful staff, good sized rooms with comfortable bed and quiet during the night. Covered parking was added bonus-recommend it over street parking
Great hotel
Great hotel. Centrally located in downtown Augusta. Just 1.5 miles from Augusta Univ. Clean , nice size rooms with amenities. Everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar/restaurant was a nice touch. A great place to have a nightcap before bed.
Excellent experience!
My stay was excellent! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again. The staff was attentive and accommodating, the hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the customer service was great throughout our stay. The location and atmosphere were also perfect for hosting our organization’s conference. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!
My Augusta Experience
A great experience from beginning to end. I was attending a conference at HYATT House. I was greeted by very friendly staff members upon arrival which made me feel welcomed. They were also very helpful in providing information on restaurants and shopping that was in walking distance of the hotel. Staff members were eager to assist when my bill upon check out was incorrect and asked how I had enjoyed my stay. It was genuine conversation and they encouraged me to come back for another visit to Augusta. As for my room, it was very nice and spacious, much bigger than expected. The conference area on the 8th floor was wonderful, and the views of the city were great! The HYATT House was a great stay, was centrally located to many restaurants and shopping and service was fantastic. Would definitely stay again!
Happy customer.
Clean hotel and friendly, helpful staff. We will definitely return when back in the city. Parking was safe and secure in the hotel garage. Easy in and out access, no worries about parking at all.
Highly recommend
Great experience, highly recommend. The staff are great! The mattress was the best I've had in any hotel. Having a parking garage is great.
Right spot.
Nice location. A walking distance to my place of assignment. A great short distance to the Riverwalk and all downtown has to offer.
Excellent central hotel with delicious breakfast buffet, close to Convention Center
Large spacious room with separate kitchen and living room area. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and for breakfast service. Large, excellent delicious breakfast buffet included, including things like salmon and the option to have an additional personal omelette ordered. Excellent central location at Broad Street, within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, and the Convention Center and River Walk. Free easy parking in front of the hotel in the parking zone along the center isle of Broad Street.
Overview
This is my first time in Augusta and the Hyatt was the best choice. 10 mins walking distance to the August Convention center and numerous places to eat and drink. The staff were always pleasant and willing to help. I would definitely recommend
Outstanding
Very nice hotel. Very clean, spacious and the hotel staff are very knowledgeable and kind. Bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was just right. I will most definitely come back.
Weirdly ok hotel to stay at while concert going at Bell auditorium.
Good location for concert at Bell Auditorium. The hotel is kind of stark and sterile. But clean. We went to the roof top which is hotter than heck in the summer with no shade available. We ordered our food. We waited around a half hour and then were told the kitchen wasn’t open. Very irritating because we were heading to a concert. Augusta has been working on a street scape for many moons now. The sidewalk of the hotel is all tore up. And the walk to town for food was interesting avoiding the construction mess. The staff did give me the money back for the food we ordered but never received the next morning before checking out. The breakfast was very good with omelets prepared for you. Make sure you stop and check in before trying to get into their parking garage. You need a “key” to enter. If you don’t you will end up stuck holding up other cars trying to get in the garage while you try to maneuver in a very tight spot to get out of their way. The sign that tells you to register “here” is blocked by all the cones and barrels due to the construction going on outside the hotel. The Farmhaus a block away had good quick food about a block away.
Great experience
Had a lovely stay. The rooms were clean, the staff were attentive and friendly. We also were impressed with the free breakfast. It was easy to walk downtown from the hotel. We also enjoyed the rooftop area a lot.
Hyatt House King Suite
The experience was fantastic and the staff very professional. The Suite we stayed in very were clean. I plan to return soon.
Came to visit family
It was a very nice property with a really nice staff! Would definitely recommend staying there to others and I will definitely be bringing my family back next time I’m in town.
Overnight Family Trip to a Wedding
We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite, which was comfortable, clean, and had lots of room. This hotel is located next to a fantastic restaurant called Frog Hollow.
Last time staying here.
This hotel billed me twice and has not been helpful in correcting. Billing has a voicemail box that is full and two other people were not helpful.
Downtown Augusta's place to stay
This hotel is typical of Hyatt Hotels worldwide - EXCELLENT. If you are coming to Augusta and want to stay downtown within walking distance of excellent restaurants and venues, this is a perfect location. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast is well presented, and staff are available to provide you with made-to-order items
STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Disappointing Stay – Serious Cleanliness and Maintenance Issues, Poor Resolution
Stayed at Hyatt House Augusta Downtown in early March 2026 with family. Overall, the location is convenient downtown, and the staff were polite in person, but this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had—especially from a Hyatt property. We were assigned two rooms (including Room 724), and both had significant cleanliness and maintenance problems that made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe at times: Visible bugs crawling on the walls in one room. Sticky residues (possibly old soda or spills) on multiple surfaces and floors. Extremely slippery floors, which felt like a real fall hazard, especially with kids. Marks, scuffs, chips, and general damage on walls and furniture. Malfunctioning bathroom door that wouldn't close or latch properly. In Room 724 specifically: gummy bears (or similar candy) embedded in the carpet beside the queen beds, plus various stains throughout the room. These issues were reported to staff during our stay, and I have photos documenting everything. Management reached out afterward and offered 15,000 World of Hyatt points as compensation. During a rushed phone call (I was in a work meeting and had to cut it short), I verbally acknowledged the offer just to end the conversation—I had intended to call back—but this was not an agreement to accept it as full resolution. I immediately followed up in writing to reject the points (they have no value for us, as we won't be returning) and requested a full refund of ~$1,200, but it was denied, with the hotel claiming it was "agreed upon." I work in the hospitality industry myself and have never had to request reimbursement before—I understand bad-faith claims happen, but this was a legitimate issue with documented substandard conditions that fell well below Hyatt's usual standards. The apology was appreciated, but the points don't address the inconvenience, safety concerns, or cost. There seems to be some internal confusion too (initially told one person was GM, now another), which may have contributed to the communication challenges. Pros: Convenient downtown location, spacious rooms with kitchenettes. Cons: Poor cleanliness/maintenance in our rooms, inadequate resolution from management. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it until these issues are addressed. Other recent reviews mention similar cleanliness complaints (sticky floors, dirt, wear and tear), so it doesn't seem isolated. If you're considering this property, ask for a recent room inspection or check updated reviews. Date of stay: March 2026 Trip type: Family travel
Great Stay
The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, great location, easy to get from the airport, and close restaurants and coffee shops.
Happily staying at Hyatt
We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a short or long term stay! The front desk staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The management staff is also very accommodating. We enjoy the breakfast selections, especially the made-to-order omelets. The rooftop restaurant is a good place to relax as well.
