Great hotel in a great location. Staff were very helpful. The facilities are very clean, quality beddings and toiletries. The fitness facilities are great, very clean and feels very safe. Its surrounded by good eating places and shopping areas. Very accessible to buses and trains. 

Great location, wonderful experience

This is a nice hotel in an excellent position. We wanted a central 5 star hotel with rooms with balconies. It was very clean. The staff were friendly. There is a nice rooftop bar but it’s quite difficult to get a table. The breakfast was good. 
Our only disappointment was that the bar was closed on Saturday evening. We were told to go to the rooftop bar but there was a massive queue. Would recommend this as a good quality central hotel.

Location, staff and overall experience was awesome. Easy walking distance to everything. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling, whether it be with couples or with family. The staff is super helpful, the restaurant options are amazing!


AMAZING

This was a very nice Hyatt. Room was a little smaller than I was expecting but the view was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Rooms were very clean. Beds were nice. Hotel staff were very pleasant but we really didn’t have much interaction with them. The only slightly disappointing experience was the rooftop patio. It was always very crowded and the live DJ made it feel more like a club. We were expecting more of a casual patio where we could get drinks and small bites while enjoying a great view. However the drinks and food were good and servers were nice. We did end up going to other rooftop patios that were not quite so loud and crowded. Our room was directly below the patio and the music was so loud you could hear it until late hours when it finally shut down. I’m not a light sleeper so it didn’t really bother me. If you are a light sleeper you would want a room below the 9th floor. Having said that we enjoyed our stay and would return. 

Overall great experience at this Hyatt.

The hotel is modern and has great staff, from the check-in personnel, to the luggage handlers, the cleaning team, etc. The room was big compared to other places in Madrid, and the location is top notch since you're in the heart of Gran Via! The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey, but again, the attentive staff makes up for it! 

Phenomenal Hotel in Madrid!

The worst experience ever due to the fact we've booked a master room on the 9th floor with terrace but simply could not use it because of the bar on the rooftop above as you hear every time somebody moves a chair and the loud music too. No solution offered by the hotel and the manager knows about the problem which is clearly permanent. People from the room next door also had their room downgraded to avoid noise but paying the same (more than 500 euros the night). Shameful for any 5 starts and even more for Hyatt.

Everything was perfect! Room clean and nice, staff always kind and quality of food very good. The position is good if you want to visit all the main turistic locations. I will absolutely recommend it.

Amazing

Book the terrace room, it’s worth the upgrade. Gorgeous views, huge balcony (and no noise with the doors shut despite how busy Gran Via is).

Excellent stay

Perfect location, stayed in room 504 , a big room. The room was too close to the next building and U can't open the curtains or the window. 5 stars hotel should have a bigger safe for computer, supply a small towel for the  face and hair, dental kit, a comb, welcome fruits. they asked 300 euro guarantee for 3 nights although the hotel was paid in advance, refused to leave such a great sum of money, and they said they would not charge my credit card. 2 nights out of 3 the bar on the 10th floor was closed  due to private events.   

A good hotel

I was delightedly  surprised by the tranquility in the hotel despite being in the middle of Gran Via.The collaborators are very attentive and willing to help or answer any doubt.For sure I will return.

The staff was very helpfull and professional. The location of the hotel was the best, yo are walking distance to mayor attractions in Madrid, like La Chueca, Plaza del Callao, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, crossing the street is a Hop on Hop Off stop, and many shops and restaurants.

Excellent service and location!!!

The hotel is very centrally located and is a perfect jump-off point for touring Madrid, either on foot or through public transportation - most (if not all) the sights of Madrid are eaisly accessible by foot or public transport from the hotel.

In the middle of pretty much everything

This was a really nice hotel, right in the center of Madrid. The staff were super nice and the hotel exceeded my expectations for a business trip. My only complaint was that the prices were quite high compared to a local chain I stayed at across the street for a personal extension to my business trip. The other hotel was not as modern, but the breakfast was much more reasonably priced and quite good. And the cost of the room was about 2/3 what I paid at the Hyatt.

Great service, modern, central location, but pricey

Great location, beautiful looking hotel from the outside.  But we were confirmed for adjoining rooms, we got two rooms next to each other.  Then was offered to move us to suite with two beds and a great view of the magnificent Madrid city.  However, the suite has a strong rotten egg odor that suggested sewage issue, and the janitorial staff was not able to fix issue.  They were sold out so there was not another rooms for us to move to.  We kept all windows opened the entire stays and now one of us has unexplained rashes!!  This is not the World of Hyatt experience we have known and expected.  Highly Disappointed!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid, and will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I’m back in Madrid. The location is excellent and all the must-see city attractions are with walking distance. There is a Metro stop right near the hotel. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and always made me feel welcome. My room was spacious, quiet, well furnished, and I was able to open the windows to get fresh air in the room. And the food was wonderful - make sure to visit the rooftop bar - El Jardín De Diana and take in the view and the ambiance. Lots and lots of breakfast options each day, and the food at the hotel restaurant was fresh and delicious! The concierges were very helpful in giving me directions and suggestions on what to see and do. I only wish I could have stayed at this hotel longer. 

A wonderful stay at the Hyatt Centric Gran Via

We often go on vacations, this was one of the best weeks we've experienced. Much thanks to the hotel. The staff was amazing. Outstanding. I would especially like to mention Marcos from the reception, who helped us a lot, recommended great places and helped with everything. We felt like we had a friend in the hotel. At the concierge desk is the wonderful Mario! Assisted with restaurant reservations and even delayed leaving on his way home to help us catch a taxi during rush hour. Thanks to the excellent staff, we will return to the hotel for Christmas

Great experience

The Hyatt Centric Madrid proved an immaculately maintained, centrally located, luxurious hotel in which to begin our vacation in Spain.  We booked the small suite, which was ample, bright, and incredibly comfortable from beds to linens to shower, etc.  Truly great staff, excellent food and drinks and, to my surprise, eminently reasonable pricing on room service.  We shall be back, thank you!

Outstanding Accommodations in the Heart of Madrid

Hotel is centrally located to many of Madrids major sights.  However, it is a very busy and noisy area and requires careful navigation through hoards of crowds.  Staff at the hotel was very accommodating and friendly.  We had a room with an outdoor terrace on the 9th floor.  The room was clean and spacious, but we did have to move rooms to the opposite side of the floor because of noise from the rooftop restaurant/bar.  
If you don’t mind being in a very busy neighborhood then this hotel is a great option.

Location is great. Walking distance from multiple attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice for eating out or ordering takeaway. Easy to get to from our to the airport. Overall good experience.

All is good

We enjoyed our stay in the new Hyatt Centric.  The decor was modern and comfortable without being the minimalist discomfort one often finds in "design" hotels.  The Spanish touches were clever.  The breakfast service was outstanding.  Shout out to ?Arianna? from Greece (sorry if I have her name wrong).
The location was perfect.  Easy to walk to most of the top sights in the museum district.
Would love to stay here on our next visit to Madrid

Comfortable, Modern Hotel on the Main Drag (Gran Via)

Perfect location to explore the city. Very nice hotel and great staff. Use the concierge - they recommended us a great Flamenco location. You must visit the rooftop bar really cool place and much better than others visited. Easy to get to by either taxi or train and once there majority of the sites are walkable. Couldn’t recommend more.

Location, Location, Location!

This hotel location is perfect. In the Main Street of Madrid. It is close to everything. I don’t recommend the rooms facing the Main Street as it could be noisy sometimes because of vehicle and tourists traffic. The service is good except for their bellboys who just watched us when we are entering the hotel and not even hold the door for us while we are carrying shopping bags. Their hotel -airport transport is great, the driver was on time. Overall , it was just an ok experience.

My trip to Madrid

My husband and I are return customers at Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid. The hotel is always clean and inviting. The entire team is extremely professional, friendly, and helpful! We highly recommend this hotel to couples visiting Madrid.

We stayed at Hyatt Centric Gran Via twice during our time in Madrid: once in an emergency (we were locked out of our apartment), and once for a “staycation.” On both occasions we were welcomed and immediately made to feel comfortable. During our staycation, the staff even set up a doggy station in our room to make sure even he was comfortable. They go above and beyond to make sure your every need is met. Well worth the cost!

Above and Beyond

We enjoyed our stay. Location is great and the staff gave us a great service from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The rooms are big enough and everything was so clean. Also we enjoyed from the roof top.

5 star hotel!!!

The location of the hotel is right in the middle of everything the street of Gran Via has to offer.  Shops, restaurant and even theaters are all within walking distance from the hotel.  The facade of the hotel looks very prestigious.

The hotel staff goes above and beyond their means to satisfy every requests and needs that we had.  Shout out to Guillermo and his team for doing such a terrific job!  My daughter's birthday celebration was a great success, thanks to their assistance!

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back in our next visit to Madrid!

Amazing Stay in Madrid

The hotel is located at the center of Madrid. You are at walking distance to some of the most important attractions in the city. The service is superb thanks to a staff extremely well trained that cares about your needs. The food at the restaurant Hielo y Carbon is a great combination of Spanish and Mediterranean flavors. 

A great boutique hotel at the heart of Gran Via

We really enjoyed our stay, great hotel, great staff, great location, near all amenities and metro stations, but beware of pickpockets operating in the Gran Via metro station and the vicinity. Food is excellent and the bar is also a very relaxing place to chill out.

Lovely stay at Hyatt Centric during a very busy period in Madrid.  Very comfortable room, excellent staff.  Big shout out to Martin at the concierge desk who provided a superb service for us, guiding us to excellent restaurants and shopping.

Great stay

We stayed here for 9 nights when visiting our study abroad student.  We were on the 5th floor in a king bed suite.  Room was dark at night and very quite--despite being so close to the Gran Via.  The air-conditioning/heating controls were fully adjustable, which is not always the case, and the rainfall shower was luxurious. We opted for the breakfast option, which allowed us to fuel up each day without taking up time from our planned excursions.  There was a full buffet with much variety, but wait staff were quick to offer up made to order eggs and bacon, omelettes, and pancakes.  Staff was very friendly and helpful, and made an effort to call me by name when helping me.  We loved the roof top bar, and the central location in the heart of Madrid.  Good dining and shopping were just a few minutes walk away, and everything else was accessible by 3 nearby Metro stations or by a short taxi ride.

Good location, dark and quiet rooms

Except my early checkin request that was handled badly, the servuce was perfect. My room was a bit noisy with too much light from sorrounding shopping malls. Without curtains I always had daylight! It was close to nice retaurants, clubs and bars.

Great location, noisy on street sides

Perfect location in the heart of it all!  Marcos and Martin were amazing along with the awesome manager, Jesus.  The service is outstanding at this hotel!  Very helpful and responsive to your every need!  Love the comfy beds and the rooms are very comfortable.  The bathrooms feature marble throughout and are luxurious.  Walk out the door and you are in the middle of all of the action.  The restaurant hosts a welcome party which is fun-filled with a signature drink and tasty bites.      

Hotel in the heart of it all in magical Madrid!

Sadly just stayed one night. We could enjoy more of Madrid with the extraordinary location of the hotel. Food was at its best. Compete with any place around. You do not have to get out if not want to. Restaurant is good & Tapas at the top enjoyable

Central & strategic location in Madrid

I enjoyed the hotel so much I came back later in the week.  Friendly staff.  Location good on Gran Via shopping area next to Real Madrid store.  Walking distance to the Royal Palace, Plaza Major, and historical tapas bars.  Excellent breakfast buffet.  But spent much time at the hotel's rooftop bar, where food and cocktails are high quality.

Stayed Twice in the Same Week

This hotel was fantastic. From start to finish the service was impeccable, food is great and the location is right in the middle of Madrid.

Our equipment wouldn’t fit in the outlets so they provided adapters, we couldn’t weight our luggage so they provided a scale - and they even left us a nice lava cake for my partner’s birthday (several times actually) 

Fantastic experience

At every turn the place was a disaster; the food was terrible everywhere in the building including the top floor terrace restaurant. The information I received at the front desk--restaurants, directions, taxi, etc., etc. There are much better hotels in the price range in quieter areas of central Madrid. There are no go restaurants to walk to in this area. 

Not worth tthe money

From check in to departure the staff at the Hyatt made us feel welcome and very helpful. The room was always clean and well equipped, the location was great, centrally located and in walking distance to many activities.

Great location

This was our first stay in a Hyatt Centric property. We were thrilled with the hotel. It provided 5 star quality without the stuffiness you can sometimes find at such properties. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. The hotel is within walking distance to the museums and the palace as well as easy access to Metro and nearby shopping and restaurants. But its hard to beat the rooftop bar and restaurants which places a premium to serving hotel guests. We are Hyatt Globalists so we had a great room upgrade - the Terrace Suite gives you a wonderful balcony for reading and enjoying city views. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was a great way to refresh after traveling from the States. Do Not Hesitate to book this hotel. 

Fantastic Location, Comfortable Rooms, Terrific Staff

Stayed twice for one night each.  The location was excellent as we could walk easily to see museums, get great food and hear great entertainment. People watching on the street was also very entertaining. Will definitely stay there again.

Great Location, wonderfull rooms, felt like home. right in the midle of Madrid with many options for public transportation , taxis. You can walk to many locations of interest from there . The roof top is also very nice.

Perfect hotel and location

smaller chic hotel right on Gran Via. walk to all central sites. near metro/train for excursions. The rooftop bar/resturant were cozy and not too pricy. Breakfast was buffet style or menu order with staff very helpful on refills. Umbrellas available 

great location, modern place

The hotel was in the middle of Madrid, yet provides a quiet oasis at the end of the day after visiting various landmarks in the city. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooftop bar served tasty drinks with a good city view.

The hotel is ideally situated. It has a great roof top bar and the rooms are fair size for a city central hotel in Europe. The breakfast was average with not much choice of fruits. Getting taxi’s in the morning was a problem at this central location.

Well located hotel

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the center of the city with many shops and restaurants nearby.  The room was clean and spacious.  The staff was friendly and helpful.     Many public transportations were available as well.

We only stayed here for a night, on our way back from Barcelona, and I wish we stayed here for the nights in Madrid on the way out! Plenty of staff were able to assist, our room was ready upon arrival, the room was incredibly large (and not just for a European room), though I'm not sure if that's just because we somehow ended up with an accessible room. Bed was comfortable and the room was otherwise well appointed. Only issue is that it took me too long to figure out how to get the shower to flow through the overhead waterfall shower head, but I was also half asleep!

Perfect location with an amazing view. Everything was as expected! The room was very clean. The staff were super helpful and gave us a ton of ideas what to do. The rooftop bar/lounge was awesome the drinks were good and the view was amazing.

Wonderful hotel with professional, friendly staff.  Perfect location.  Room was outstanding and the place is immaculate - very clean.  My #1 choice in Madrid.  The manager of guest services is doing an extraordinary job.

Better Than 5 Stars

Never tried a worse service on a 5 star hotel than this. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone, plus one top of that a lot of noise came through the door from the hallways. 
Ordered room service two days and they failed both days, first day they came with the wrong food versus what was ordered, second day they came with a waterbottle that wasn't open and there was no opener in the room. It took 4 calls and 35 mins before the water bottle was open. Jesus. 

Bad service and noisy rooms

From the moment of arriving till the moment I left the experience here was just mixed emotions. Hotel tries to look fancy and exclusive but if you want anything to work please prepare that it will not. Business meeting room is a mess, there is no proper power-utilities, cables laying over the floor, tables not effectively organized, projector not working, elevator is right next by and takes a lot of attention away of participants. Breakfast is okay but there is no lactose-free option (not to even mention gluten free) there is 2 coffee machines that are sometimes working, sometimes not but you cannot imagine 100+ people using 2 machines and that it will be fine, can you? Elevator is only working if you have a room key so if you want to join your colleagues on the 10th floor after you checked out.. better get ready for a hike upstairs AND downstairs.. Staying on the elevator.. not sure about the settings but the staff or the company working on the elevators clearly got it very very wrong. 
And the utmost extreme sensation and experience I had around the world was here: I was locked out of my room 2 times on the same day!!! Guys - get your s. together if you want to charge a small African city's GDP for a week's stay - ridiculous

Never in my life I would recommend staying in this hotel - never ever

This hotel is a lovely renovation of a deco building. The rooms facing the street have great windows that let in wonderful light and allow you to look at the beautiful buildings of Gran Via (and excellent black out shades for sleeping). Despite the street's busyness, the roos are very quiet. The staff is excellent -- very pleasant and helpful. The location allows for an easy walk around Central Madrid, Plaza Mayor and Sol, as well to the hip areas of Chueca, Malasana, the up and coming Lavapies, and the antique zone of El Rastro. A bit longer walk takes you to all the famed museums, but if you don't want to walk, the subway is very handy and there are taxis that are easily available. I'd strongly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful place to stay and the staff really takes care of you. The hotel is in the middle of everything great location. If you love to party and stay up late this is the place for you. Don't forget to visit the roof top bar....

Fabulous location

The hotel is located in the Gran Via, very centralized and walking distance to any place in the center of Madrid and major attractions. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean and well maintained.

We had suite 213. Great views of Via Gran. Close to everything. We walked everywhere. 

The staff are so helpful and although happy to interpret my baby Spanish, we’re all happy to speak English. 

Location Location Location and Lovely

This was our second stay at Hyatt Centric and we absolutely love it. Their suites can accommodate families comfortably, without breaking the bank. Absolutely love the vibe in their rooftop bar as well as the superb location. Will be back!

Never disappoints!

BEST HOTEL!!! The staff was so nice and accommodating. They helped us with reservations, gave us ideas, and made awesome recommendations. The room was perfect and so clean. They brought you water anytime you needed it. We loved this hotel. 

Hyatt Centric

Super location and quality. In the very center of Madrid and close to everything. You can walk to landmarks and restaurants, including the Prado. Check out the rooftop bar. Great drinks and wine and fantastic views on Gran Via.

Great place!

The location was a very convenient location for touring and restaurants. The area right outside the hotel is extremely busy all the time like Times Square nyc busy. Hundreds of people when you step outside. The only cons I can think of is that the 2 elevators are not sufficient to handle the load of guests during peak times. Being on a lower floor is suggested so that you can utilize the stairs when needed. Another con is that they didn’t offer a water dispenser and glasses in the lobby when we stayed during the heat wave. We stayed at multiple hotels throughout Spain and they all offered a complimentary water station in the lobby as soon as you walked thru the doors which was necessary given the temps. The rooms AC were very cool and the rooms (we had a king and 2 doubles) were all a nice size and very modern inside.  The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and seem happy to work there.

Nice but could be better

Wonderfully located stylish hotel in the center of the hustle and bustle of Gran Via. Rooms were beautifully decorated with lots of flair, quiet despite location on a busy street, bathrooms large and functional, staff exceptionally helpful and food was terrific. 

Fantastic stylish hotel in the heart of Madrid

We came with my husband and small child. I had to do some work while they toured, and I also joined them. The rooms were clean, sound-proof and very spacious. We enjoyed our stay. Best of all was the terraza de Diana.

Best hotel ever in Madrid

I always choose Hyatt centric when I visit Madrid. It has a great perfect location, rooms are full with facilities needed, staff is very friendly and the options they have in the breakfast are so cool. They have also added now the easy checkout without visiting the reception

Hotel is located within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops and shopping area. Room is very clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. They gave recommendations to us on places to eat and shop. Highly recommended.

Superb location and excellent service

We loved Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid.  The room was amazing especially the terrace and view.  We absolutely loved, loved, loved the two bathrooms.  It was an unanticipated but very great surprise.  It was very special to have cava and a birthday cake surprise when we arrived.  We very much appreciated this.  The location was great.

What we didn’t like had very little to do with the hotel itself.  We arrived the day of the pride parade and the streets were blocked off nearly a mile away from the hotel.  After 3 hours on a train, we had to walk nearly a mile in 100° weather, uphill with over 50 pounds of luggage with a knee injury.  The hotel had no solution to this problem.  This was a horrific experience.

The hotel also did not have a pool or ice.  This was very weird considering Madrid is extremely hot and ice/pool are standard.  We were really looking forward to swimming and cooling off.  There were 2 days during our 4 day stay that because of construction/parade, Uber could not get to our hotel.  Maybe because the hotel is in the center of everything but that should not mean transportation should be this difficult.  We’ve stayed at a lot of central places and transportation was no problem.

Housekeeping was excellent.  The restaurants were good but would have loved to see a bigger selection.  Our server, Angelo, was exceptionally great.  He educated us regarding the Parade, excursions, culture and the menu.  We absolutely loved him.

Overall our stay was great and we would definitely stay again.  When Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid could, they delivered.   Suggestions would be to find an alternative route/path if the street closes down frequently.  Possibly a smaller vehicle or emergency vehicle to help guests get to the hotel.  Ice should be readily available.  Everything else was very pleasant. 

An Awesome Hotel Missing a Few Key Essentials

Hyatt Centric was amazing. Great staff and beautiful room. Our view and location were incredible. The lobby also smelled so good and the rooftop dining was s highlight. I would love to come back! Helga was one of the most friendly staff people I have ever met.

This hotel was located in the center of the city, the hotel staff  was excellent - we had a terrific stay. I highly recommend the hotel. I can’t say enough about the staff making sure everything was perfect .  The breakfast buffet is priced good and delicious. Very clean. 

Outstanding hotel stay.

Building looks nice outside.  Inside needs complete full renovation.  The inside smells really bad and the front desk/reception area looks super ugly.  Not worth the price they charge per night.  I cannot recommend this property to anyone.  

hyatt centric gran via madrid

The Hyatt Centric location is excellent for those wanting to experience the city but the hotel is more of a boutique establishment. The rooms are small so I would recommend a suite or larger. A good place to stay but it depends on your preference.

Great location, good hotel

This hotel was outstanding.  Beautiful common area and rooms.  Rooftop dining was excellent and the view outstanding.  The staff was more than helpful and the location in the heart of Gran Via was perfect.

Top notch hotel experience!

Thank u very much for the hospitality. All the staff did an excellent job. The location was great. The service was prompt. Breakfast was excellent and the location of the hotel was right at the center of all the shopping.

Amazing stay, I will come back again

All around a wonderful hotel for a first time visit to Madrid. The only reason I didn’t give it a perfect rating is because our room was unfortunately located next to the staff service entrance, which was very loud when they came in/out.

Great location, very nice hotel

The hotel staff was excellent and made my wife and I feel special as we were celebrating our Anniversary. The Room and the view were fantastic, the rooftop bar was great, and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel

First time to Madrid

Stayed here for 13 nights for first overseas business trip in 2 1/2 years.  Nice hotel with a nice roof top bar that gives priority to actual guests of the hotel!  Room was in good condition and loved the shower.  Not a lot of food offerings for dinner but your are in Madrid - go out and eat elsewhere! Breakfast was ok but a little pricey and not a ton of offerings on the hot bar.  Did I mention the shower was great and the A/C worked given it was 100+ several days? Be aware, this is on the Gran Via and in heavy tourist area so if you are trying to get away from the crowds, this may not be the place for you.

Comfort in the city

I stayed in early June for two nights and from the start, the stay was on point and welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk provided us with restaurant recommendations, and even made a reservation for that night and an address card for the taxi driver. I had mentioned it was my birthday, and while my partner and I enjoyed the bar, the front desk staff prepared the room with a chocolate cake and bottle of champagne!

Aside from the front desk hospitality, the rooftop (as many know) had a beautiful view. What I appreciated about the hotel was how they prioritize the comfort of guests first. The rooftop is a very popular venue for tourists on Gran Via, but at the rooftop, they allow hotel guests to sit at any table without a reservation, as opposed to putting us in the same group with visitors.

The modern decor along with the old world touches made the stay even more beautiful.

Pro tip for those with water canteens, there is a water station on the ground floor where you can refill your bottles before you head out for the day 

Felt like a valued guest

Hotel was nice but front staff was very pushy and rude at check in.  I rented two rooms for my five member family.  Both rooms were supposed to have queen beds but they were double beds instead. My wife and I were going to sleep in one bed and my kids were going to sleep in the other three beds.  However at check in, staff said this was unacceptable because when I booked the rooms I had indicated only two people would be occupying each room.  They wanted to charge me an extra 50 Euros per night for the extra child.  After an argument at check over this ridiculous issue the staff member said she would have to talk to her manager.  They hotel finally relented to my common sense argument that my wife and I would be in one bed and each of my three children would be occupying the other three beds and that there should not be any extra cost for this.  I felt like they were trying to scam me and rip me off with their boggus argument.  I would have expected this at a small cheap hotel and not at a high end Hyatt hotel.  This left a bad taste in our mouth about the hotel right from the beginning.  I am still upset about their attitude and the heated argument I had to go through to get checked into our hotel.

Nice Hotel but felt scammed at check in

Great, comfortable and clean hotel in a super location with great staff. Everything works well, the rooftop terrace is very nice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location is central and in the middle of shops and restaurants with easy transportation.

Excellent Hotel

Great location, welcoming and helpful staff, clean rooms, The front desk staff made excellent recommendations and even made reservations for us. The rooms were nice and you can not beat the locations.

The Centric was perfect

Very centrally area, the hotel staff very helpful, professional and nice.
Overall good.
Nice roof top, despite the service was little slow, it was compensate by the view and the pleasant de oration of the bar. 

Wekend in Madrid

Hotel location is right at the heart of Madrid, closer to everything, also safe and elegant. Lobby is outdated, small, boring. Rooftop is good. Surprised to see there is no pool at a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is at 2nd floor restaurant. Poor choices, not worth the money. Walking distance to all in Madrid. No need a car.

Hyatt Madrid

What a fantastic place to stay. I highly recommend it. The staff was highly knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. The rooms and common areas were phenomenal. The location in Madrid made it fantastic also, everything was within walking distance. Great stay!

Hyatt Centric Hotel in the Gran Via, Madrid

If you make a trip to Madrid and you nee an EXCELLENT Hotel and Staff you got to stay at the Hatt Centric Gran Via Madrid. The Decor, The Staff, The Rooftop Bar, The Rooms, The Location is all Top Notch... This will be our go to hotel in Madrid going forward. 

No Other Way!!!

Very centric, clean and chick. The staff was very friendly. It’s walking distance to most of the places. Has a nice rooftop to have a quick lunch or a drink. Very roomie rooms. Again great location would definitely recommend for the price!  

Nice hotel!

This hotel’s double booking practices spoilt our 3 day city trip to Madrid. We had reserved a high end room through bookin.com that was supposed to have a terrace overlooking the monumental Gran Via. At the beginning they placed us in a room without the promised view without saying anything room number 902). Only after intense negotiations with their mis management and unresponsive team they moved us a day later to room 811 that corresponded to our initial booking. This made us first unpack and the repack our luggage in the short time span of our unfortunate stay with them. Very poor customer care for an allegedly 5 star hotel that charged approximately 600 dollars per night for their supposedly luxury premises. During our painful and time consuming  renegotiations staff started by saying that we had not reserved what we claimed but had to change their position when confronted with our reservation confirmation documents  and, then, they started blame the  erroneous pieces of information transmitted to us  by booking.com. Only at the very end of a long string of lame excuses they apologised and offered us a free taxi ride to the airport and some days after our return at home (and probably the vivid intervention of customers support of Booking.com) they proceeded to an insignificant refund of …60 dollars ( for a stay that them some 2000 dollars more affluent thnx to our payments). If you are a high end client and you are planning a short city trip to Madrid for leisure (or even business) think twice before taking risks at their merciless and double renting hands. There is no scarcity of decent five stars hotels downtown Madrid that can most probably cater much better for your needs. Forewarned is Forearmed ;-)

Very nice, efficient staff.  Great room-good size, very sunny,  excellent black out drapes.  Enjoyed the roof top bar/restaurant.  Nice tapas.  Only reason not a 5 is location.  Good to get around the city, but very crowded area.

Great stay in Madrid

Excellent location. You have prime access to the heart of madrid. Good rooms and larger than average. Clean rooms . Helpful staff and very friendly .. I love every thing about the hotel excellent vibe

Some 5 star hotels give you a toothbrush/paste + shaving razor  but not here so I think it depends on the hotels itself

The perfect location

I am a Hyatt member.  Just stayed at Hyatt Centric again and forgot that the prior experience had not been good.  Could not get answer from anyone in the team.  I understand the team may be overwhelmed with soccer and tennis and concerts and all.  This should not interfere with cordiality for us not attending or having a clue of what is going on.  Definitely explore other options, there are plenty and REALLY exceptional ones with much better attitude.

CAREFUL ON YOUR PLANNING

Our stay was amazing. The staff greeted us and treated us with respect. They continued to recognize us and we were always greeted with a smile. They made us feel like we were the only guests! 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff

I love our time at Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid. The service was superb, the room was excellent, and the location was great. We can walk to the main attractions, and we found great places to eat close by. Also, we recommend the rooftop, el Jardin de Diana. 

Perfect location!

It seems Hyatt Madrid treats all customers the same making not a special effort for those whom are globalist. 
They relay on their name and location forgetting about service is what makes the differentiation between a next stay or never get back.
