I had a great stay at Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland! The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, making it easy to get around and explore the city. We used the TriMet public transportation system throughout our stay, and it was very convenient getting to different places from the hotel. The central location was definitely a plus! Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland.

Excellent location and very nice hotel for the price point. The staff were so friendly and always welcoming. The hotel was always clean and the lobby was very fun to sit around. The rooms were very clean. There were so many places to eat within 5 to 10 mins from the hotel. And the great Powell’s City of Books used & new bookstore for books enthusiastic. I will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this Hyatt. The hotel is convenient to many shops and restaurants. The staff is helpful and friendly. We found the beds very comfortable and the room clean.

We were in town to celebrated a friends Birthday. Fun Location, great vibe. We loved the old school phonograph in our room. It was cool to play some vinyl.

Disappointed with my stay at the Hyatt Centric. In over 1,300 hotel nights, this was the first time I've had a hotel charge for early check-in after arrival, rather than the advance email some hotels send offering a guaranteed early check-in for a fee. I got to the hotel, was told my room was ready, then told I'd have to pay to actually use it. The room itself had cleanliness issues: stained towels, a stained chair, and hair in the bathroom (photos attached). The thermostat also wouldn't keep the fan running, so the room got too hot overnight, and there was significant noise transfer between floors.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Centric Portland. The team made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for, and their warmth and hospitality made the experience stand out. We were traveling with our baby, so having a comfortable, relaxing place to return to after exploring the city made a real difference. It was the kind of stay that made our trip more enjoyable, not just a place to spend the night. The room was perfect and all the amenities are clean, modern and they work properly. A heartfelt thank-you to the team for making our visit so memorable. We left with a great impression and would happily stay here again on our next trip to Portland. Highly recommended! There are couple of parking garages near hotel for $20-30 overnight price.

The hotel is modern, clean, and conveniently located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and parks. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, and valet service was quick. The elevators were quite slow, though manageable. My room had a nice couch but no desk — if you need a workspace, I recommend confirming desk availability when booking. The hotel is pet-friendly, but the surrounding area does not feel safe for walking a dog alone at night, especially for women. I had to drive elsewhere to walk my dog after dark, which was inconvenient.

We stayed at this hotel from August 14 to August 16, booking two rooms for two nights for our family. Unfortunately, the service during our stay was extremely disappointing, especially the housekeeping and guest service. One of our rooms did not even have tissues when we first checked in. More seriously, the other room was never properly cleaned during our entire stay despite multiple requests. On the morning of August 15, everyone left the room as usual. When we returned around 2:00 PM, we found that the room had not been serviced. We waited until after 4:00 PM, but housekeeping still had not come. We tried calling Guest Services, but no one answered the phone, so we had to go downstairs to the front desk in person and specifically request that the room be cleaned. We then left the hotel again, giving them several more hours to take care of it. When we returned around 8:00 PM, the room was still exactly as we had left it. NO housekeeping at all. Once again, our calls to Guest Services went unanswered. We went downstairs to the front desk for a second time and were told that someone would be sent up right away. We waited another 20 minutes, but still no one came. At that point, we had to go to the front desk for a THIRD time that day just to get basic room service. Eventually, someone came to the room, but it was a maintenance employee rather than housekeeping. He was only able to replace the towels and empty the trash. The room itself was never actually cleaned.

Used this hotel for out of town guests to our wedding. Rooms are good but the hotel hosted some sort of event until 1:30. Also the hotel valet does not park the cars in a secure area and guests had they car windows smashed.
