At Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, we are dedicated to sustainability and are committed to making a difference through our daily processes. We have implemented initiatives to significantly reduce carbon emissions, water use, waste and recycling. We track and manage environmental performance using Hyatt EcoTrack, Hyatt's global environmental sustainability software.

Carbon Emissions and Water

  • Energy efficient LED lighting is used throughout our hotel.
  • Sensors are used to efficiently manage lighting and temperature.
  • Linenless tables are used to reduce water consumption.
  • A voluntary towel and sheet reuse program allow guests to determine when linens are replaced.
  • Low-flow water fixtures are used in guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Drought-resistant plants are used to reduce water use.

  • Eco straws replace plastic straws
  • Plastic bottles, paper, cans can be placed in the hotel’s recycling bins around the hotel
  • To-go containers for Food and Beverage outlets are made from recycled content.
  • In shower amenities available in large format in guestroom bathrooms replace individual sized plastic amenity bottles.
  • Guests are invited to place key cards in boxes found in the lobby for reuse of keys.
  • Food waste is sent to a composting facility.
  • Hydration stations exist in all public areas and guest room floors to reduce use of plastic water bottles and encourage use of reusable water bottles.
