Caring for the planet is a natural extension of Hyatt’s purpose—to care for people so they can be their best. Below are specific examples of environmental stewardship at our hotel.

  • Sustainability is top of mind for our hotel and we strive to implement green initiatives wherever possible. We have an ESG Committee in place, whose role is to educate colleagues on sustainable practices and to propose new initatives to minimise our impact on the environment 
  • We use Hyatt EcoTrack to monitor sustainability metrics including gas emissions, energy, water, waste, and recycling.

  • 100% of our electricity comes from green energy
  • We follow Hyatt’s ‘Conserve’ programme to reduce energy and water use associated with laundry
  • Motion sensors lights are installed in our back-of-house area to manage our energy consumption
  • We have sensor taps in public spaces and colleague changing rooms to help manage our water consumption
  • We have partnered with Trees4Travel, a charity that supports the environment by facilitiating the planting of trees with a share of United Nations (CER) certified emissions reduction, and by investing in renewable energy projects

Waste and Circularity

  • We are taking part in a project with Clean the World, a socially responsible enterprise, to recycle discarded soap and bottled amenities while helping to provide vulnerable communities worldwide access to hygiene necessities and WASH programming
  • All our events are single-plastic use free and we offer have a variety of vegetarian and vegan options on our menus
  • We keep our food waste to a minimum. Our ORCA technology enables us to safely dispose of any remaining food waste, thus significantly reducing the harmful emissions that come with waste removal traffic.

  • Our culinary team work with carefully vetted suppliers, in particular those who promote sustainable farming practices 
  • All the fish we serve is non-endangered and the majority of our fish products come from sustainable resources and bear labels from sustainable fisheries (MSC)
  • We favour local food suppliers with a majority of UK products when available
  • We have a variety of vegetarian and vegan options on our menus
