City Landmarks

The Bund

The Bund, located on the bank of the Huangpu River, is a historical and cultural block of Shanghai. Accompanied by the modern city skyline across the river, it provides a strong contrast between modern life and the past and is one of the landmarks of Shanghai. It takes about 12 minutes by car from the hotel to the Bund.

Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower

Oriental Pearl Tower, situated at the tip of Lujiazui in the Pudong New Area and by the side of the Huangpu River, stands magnificently above a modern cluster structure in the Lujiazui area, The tower and the Bund International Architecture Exhibition on the other side of the river add radiance and charm to one another, presenting the grand view of an international metropolis. Museum of Art Pudong

Located in the heart of Xiao Lujiazui, the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP) first opened to the public in July, 2021. Designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel (AJN), MAP primarily sets out to present world-class exhibitions to its audience as well as showcasing domestic artists. MAP aims to become a new cultural landmark of Shanghai and an important platform for international cultural exchange. It takes about 10 minutes by car from the hotel to here.

The Modern Art Museum (MAM) in Shanghai, China, is an institution focused on diversity, equality, nurturing creativity and education. Located along the ‘cultural corridor’- of museums and galleries that runs along the riverside in the Pudong New Area, MAM utilizes innovative methods to facilitate public participation and engagement with art. Shanghai Grand Theatre

Shanghai Grand Theatre is located on People’s Square with a total floor space of 70,000 sqm (753,473sq ft). It was designed by the French architect Salbanjie, combining features of Chinese and Western culture. The theatre’s white arched roof and transparent lustrous glass wall provide a stunning ambiance. The Grand Theatre has become a center of cultural life in Shanghai, providing a venue for world-class operas, films and music. It takes about 15 minutes by car from the hotel to here.

History & Humanities

Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China

The site of the CPC Congress is a typical Shanghai Shikumen-style building, built in 1920. On July 23, 1921, the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held here. The site is the birthplace of the Communist Party of China. It takes about 15 minutes by car from the hotel to here.

Yu Garden

This famous classical garden in South China was once named the “top beauty in Southeast China.” It was first built during the Ming Dynasty-400 years ago, by a Sichuan minister of finance named Pan Yunduan. It has been renovated several times by the government and is now one of the key relic sites in the country under state protection. It takes about 20 minutes by car from the hotel to the Bund.

Shanghai Museum

The Shanghai Museum was established in 1952. The museum’s collection covers thirty-one categories, among which the collection of bronze, ceramics, calligraphy and painting are especially celebrated. The Museum now has ten permanent galleries, four special donation showrooms and three temporary exhibition halls, providing visitors with a panoramic view of Chinese art history. Shanghai Disney Resort

Shanghai Disneyland features seven themed lands: Adventure Isle, Gardens of Imagination, Mickey Avenue, Tomorrowland, Treasure Cove, Fantasyland and Disney Pixar Toy Story Land.
