Batiquitos Lagoon

One of the few remaining tidal wetlands on the Southern California coast and a protected ecological preserve, the lagoon is best experienced from the main nature trail that runs parallel to the Aviara Golf Course.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps

Explore largest oceanographic exhibits in the country. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the aquarium features 60 habitats of Pacific marine life, tanks filled with saltwater fish, and a 70,000-gallon tank that simulates the La Jolla kelp forest.

San Diego Zoo

Museum of Making Music

Museum of Contemporary Art – San Diego

Located in downtown San Diego and in the coastal community of La Jolla, MCASD features a collection of contemporary works of art in a myriad of media, and a dynamic schedule of thought-provoking exhibits.

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park

Early California-style architecture has been preserved at this park, lending an old-world ambience to the area. The birthplace of California, this district boasts several museums, restaurants, art galleries, and historic sites, and 150 shops.

Mission San Luis Rey

The largest mission in California, the restored Mission San Luis Rey is a National Historic Site housed in buildings that are a blend of Spanish, Moorish, and Mexican architecture. The mission is still used as a seminary and houses a retreat center.

La Jolla Music Society

San Diego's premier classical music presenter, La Jolla Music Society features visiting orchestras and ensembles in five concert series. The Main Series offers performances at Copley Symphony Hall.

La Jolla Playhouse

Located at the University of California at San Diego, this professional stage produces a variety of performances year-round and attracts Hollywood and Broadway talent. The playhouse also hosts the university's theater department.

San Diego Opera

San Diego Symphony

LEGOLAND

Don’t miss this play park with 60 rides, attractions, shows, and a water park made from millions of LEGO bricks. Dig for fossils on Dino Island, unleash adventure at Pirate Shores, explore the Land of Adventure, and rescue the queen at Castle Hill.

Magdalena Ecke YMCA Skate Park

The skate park includes a street course with quarter pipes, bank ramps, a 13-foot vertical ramp, and a keyhole pool for skateboarding and blading, as well as a "tot lot" for smaller children.

The Wave Waterpark

Get wet and wild on slides, tube rides, relaxing rivers, a wave pool, a competition pool, and a children's activity area. Zoom down the slide tower, tube down the riptide slide, and float down the Lazy River.

Access a pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, and board games in a fun-filled open space. Kids of all ages love the Riptide Lounge with its wide assortment of video games, six PlayStation centers, Xbox Kinect, and an air hockey table.

Moonlight Beach Express

Enjoy round-trip shuttle transportation to this wide sandy beach on the Moonlight Beach Express, which includes complimentary rental of beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. Offered seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Outdoor Recreation

Tee it up at our award-winning golf club, lay out by the pool, play a match on the tennis courts, or spend the day in the Recreation Center, which features sand volleyball, a croquet field, horseshoes, a badminton court, and bocce ball.

Surfing with the Chef

Start the day by prepping breakfast with Chef Pierre Albaladejo, and then take surf lessons at one of the local beaches. The day ends with a meal on the beach prepared by Chef Pierre himself. Guests will be presented with their own personalized longboard that will be shipped back home for them.
