Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and Museum

The Institute chronicles the roles that Birmingham and the South played in the civil rights movement and serves as a forum for understanding the universal problems of racism.

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum

The Museum houses a collection of over 850 motorcycles and 45 cars, making it the largest in the United States and possibly the world. There are bikes from 17 nations with 125 manufacturers represented.

McWane Science Center

University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa

From the hotel, take I-459 south to I-20W and you’ll be in Tuscaloosa in no time. Tour campus, grab some food and drinks at Gallette’s or Big Bad Wolves’ BBQ, or cheer on the famed Alabama Crimson Tide football team at Bryant Denny Stadium.

Alabama Football Tailgating

Game day tailgating is a fun tradition at the University of Alabama with fans, families and friends setting up tents, BBQ grills and tables on and around the Quad along 9th Avenue. You cannot have any vehicles or RVs on the grass and tailgaters are encouraged to keep the beautiful UA campus clean and safe.
