Always a great stay. The staff isn't in your face, but they are there when you need them. I would suggest upgrading to the suite if possible. Offers good amount of room.
Stayed for two nights with my son and our pup in a Silver King room. Perfect size, great location, quiet room. They brought in a rollaway bed for my son, and it fit fine - rooms are small in NYC (to be expected). Staff was kind and respectful. I had hoped for a suite upgrade, and due to the unavailability of a suite, I was comped a bottle of wine.
Do not stay here. While the staff are nice, the hotel is dirty and the rooms are awful. I took off my shoes and stepped on the carpet in my room and it was wet. The smell of mold is overpowering. There is major construction happening and it is loud. As someone who loves Hyatt and almost always stays at Hyatt properties....find somewhere else, this will ruin your NYC experience. If the Thompson is in budget, stay there instead.
Overpriced average hotel. Very small rooms, dated ripped furniture, blinds did not close. Good location but for $600 + per night not impressive.
A great surprise! Trivago messed up my initial order and got me a room here. They accommodated me quickly and check in was a breeze. The room was small but it's NYC and I found it charming. It's right on Broadway so the location couldn't be better! The only 'negative' was that the room didn't have a coffee maker which I've learned is essential for me, haha.
I enjoyed the hospitality and clean environment. This is a hotel that I have stayed at quite a few times a do recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
When we booked this hotel, we liked that they have a rooftop bar & pool. They have another bar/restaurant in the hotel. Well, all of these amenities are closed for renovations. The room was nice enough & housekeeping was great refreshing our room each day. Just wish they had the amenities we'd looked forward to.
The Dream has a great location and I am Hyatt loyalist, so it certainly appeals. It’s proximate to work and friends I have in the city. That said, I will never stay there again. The room I stayed in was extremely moist and wet. The floor was wet and the general room was constantly humid. Some of the wallpaper was peeling due to the moisture. I am now concerned about mold exposure. I’m disappointed in this experience from Hyatt, as I generally love their properties. Do not stay here.
Great location, but the property is in dire need of a renovation. I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The rooms had a very old mildew smell and the furniture was outdated and not in good condition. Also, the rooms facing the street are extremely loud, you can hear everything. Staff was atleast very helpful and friendly.
Room are very small and very basic. I was feeling like were smelling it’s very prize for what they offer. Breakfast was really good at Serafina
