One of the best Globalist Hidden Gems
I’ve been a Hyatt Globalist for the last couple of years and just had one of the best Globalist experience at the Dream south beach, really an underrated gem in the Hyatt portfolio especially given the prime south beach location and only a Cat 4 resort. We were there only one night and arrived early around 1:30 pm, the front desk proactively upgraded us to the Presidential Suite! The suite was amazing, massive living room with skylight and our own private Peleton in the room, plus private deck and private entrance to the rooftop pool! I know it’s low season but they totally wasn’t required to give me such a nice upgrade, they were just being nice. The niceness also carried over the entire stay, the entire staff from bell man to front desk to the old gentleman at the concierge desk who certainly knows everything about south beach were all a pleasure to interact with and go out of their way to be helpful. We also got a late check out the next day so we can enjoy the room for as long as we could. The only below expectation aspect is the hotel no longer have a partnership with the lounger / umbrella rental company on the beach, so if you want beach chairs they will give you these portable ones to take with you to the beach, which is only 1 block away. Not a deal breaker but just not expecting that from reading some of the old reviews from before when the hotel had partnership with the rental company. All in all I would highly recommend this to all of my fellow Hyatt members, your loyalty is highly appreciated here, come enjoy south beach before corporate decides to increase this hidden gem to more than a Cat 4 redemption if you know what I mean!

Beautiful, Charming, Cozy Spot!
This is such a charming spot with beautiful at deco arcituture and mid century interior design - and the service was great! The king rooms are tiny and cozy - Some might think they're too small but it was perfect for a romantic getaway for 2. The bed was luxuriously comfortable, the room clean, and the ammenities are nice. Note: You will be charged an extra $45 per day as a 'resort fee' - this may not be noted if you book through a travel booking website. But it entitles you to beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, discounts off of food at the Naked Taco downstairs, and a 35% discount off of a Big Bus tour if you're into that. I thought it was worth it. Yes, it's loud - It's in the heart of South Beach. Don't stay on the beach there if you mind loud music. I love it - It's a fiesty, colorful party town and staying at the Dream is a great way to experience it! The rooftop pool with the cabanas and bar (and view of the beach) is incredible - That's what drew us in. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Amazing experience
Great hotel and the staff are even better. Make sure if you visit to ask for Antz or Nicholas or Lashonia, they will take care of you.

Dream south beach was a DREAM
Phenomenal stay! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Beautiful “Miami coded” theming and you just can’t beat the service here.

Awkward rooms in middle of noise south beach
The room was so awkward for a family of 4! Its small which is understandable, but I did not expect to walk into our room atanding between our bathroom and shower. Weird. Bathroom door does not close all the way so when someone in the family uses it, it stinks up the room. There is a separate partition separating the beds from the bathroom but the partition has "decorative" doors. Problem is that it has holes. So for a family of 4- there feels like there is no privacy.

Perfect location and staff making for a PERFECT GETAWAY!
Perfect getaway hotel in South Beach! A short walk to the beach and to the endless variety of great restaurants and sweet treats! Be sure to request a 'Quiet' room if you need to retreat from the party music pounding up from the ground floor corner restaurant building (Tudor wing). One of the best hotel staff group we have ever had the pleasure of staying with!

Not terrible, but would not stay here again recommend to friends
My wife and I had a great time in South Beach, the location of the hotel was perfect, which is why we chose it, but the hotel itself was lacking. It started with the front desk staff being unfriendly during check-in and just generally seemed bothered by any question we asked. When I completed the online portion of the check-in I received a message that our room had been upgraded to one with view, and the view was to be of the courtyard area. However, the view was actually of a wall and a maybe 1/4 of it was of a "courtyard." Pictures of the view included in this review. Made me wonder what a non-upgraded view would have been. Other than the bartenders at the restaurant and the pool bar, and the cleaning team, the staff seemed bothered anytime they had to interact with the guests. The room itself was clean, everything worked, and the cleaning staff did a great job cleaning every day. My only complaint about the hotel itself I guess would be the music. It was loud everywhere. We could hear the music from the restaurant in our room at all times of the day. The music at the pool was so loud you could barely have a conversation or order a drink without shouting. I guess I mostly just feel like Dream over-promised and under-delivered. The website has a long list of things that are included in the hotel's daily resort fee. Sunscreen was said to be provided at the pool, but they were always out, and someone had always just left to go get more. I know this seems petty, but we we didn't bring our own due to the messaging on the website, and the limitations of traveling by air with liquids. Bikes were listed as an amenity available ss of June 1st. Our trip was well after this date and the answer we received when we inquired about them was, "No we do not have bikes." So, as I said above, there was nothing overtly wrong with the hotel itself, but due to our experience with the amenities, and staff we wouldn't stay here a second time, and we would recommend a friend to look elsewhere.

Stay away from Dream south beach
The hotel and rooms are similar to a 2 star hotel. The windows are blacked out so you can’t see out. The rooms are very small. Also the room wasn’t clean. The entrance is through naked taco. Its more of a nightmare than a dram. The staff is rude and not accommodating.
