Excellent location right across the street from the beach. Great restaurants; we love the brunch buffet at Piper. Wonderful for families, lots of activities, beach chairs and towels included in stay. Excellent customer service (shoutout to Kaylen)! We can’t wait to return!
Wonderful Stay at The Seabird Resort & Spa — Can't Wait to Return! My wife and I recently spent one night at The Seabird Resort & Spa, and what a wonderful experience from start to finish! Arriving at the hotel was a breeze, with easy access to valet parking. At check-in, we were greeted by Ryde, who provided excellent service and made us feel welcome right away. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean, and every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and accommodating. As a Hyatt Globalist, we were delighted to receive a room upgrade, and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The room was beautiful, extremely clean, and very well maintained, with bottled water waiting for us upon arrival. It was clear that the hotel takes great pride in the details. We also would like to thank Tyler Macy, an Assistant Guest Experience manager for his warm welcome and helping us with our Globalists status. He is truly an great representative for the Hyatt Brand. We had some friends join us, and we spent a lovely time outside by the pool, relaxing in comfortable seats in the shade and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed drinks at the Shore Room, where Seth took excellent care of us. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we wanted for nothing. The following morning, we had breakfast at Piper Restaurant, where Juan provided equally outstanding service. Our food arrived quickly, piping hot, and was thoroughly enjoyable. What really stood out during our visit was the staff. Everyone was so pleasant, welcoming, and eager to make our stay enjoyable. It's that kind of hospitality that makes a hotel truly special. The Seabird Resort & Spa is a fantastic property, and we can't wait to return! A big thank-you to Tyler, Ryde, Seth, Juan, and the entire team for making our short getaway such a memorable one. Highly recommended!
Exceptional front desk service; very clean and well-maintained property. Rooftop bar at sister location across street was outstanding!
Wonderful hotel, outstanding staff in every department, very clean, modern, comfortable beds. Only complaint (and maybe Hotel has fixed and will not recur) two false alarms for fire in the building which first time created major panic. Also one of the elevator was out of order twice during 3 day stay which was very inconvenient because there is not stair access to go UP to floor 3 to 5 appaently, which is odd, so created stress being on time for events having to wait for the elevator those two partial days.
this hotel is incredible. the staff is friendly, the decor and design is out of this world, the breakfast is amazing and we love the complementary beach chairs and surfboard! I booked another trip before we even left. 10/10
We have stayed at a handful of Hyatts over the years and the Seabird is one of our absolute favorites. The team at the Seabird is so helpful and friendly that we really do feel at home here. We can't wait to return.

Our room with an ocean view was perfect, once we got into the room. Although we arrived very early in the day and had advised the hotel that we would be doing so, we ultimately did not get into our room until almost 6 PM. That really ruined our first day and night. The hotel managementwas very generous in financially compensating us for the inconvenience, but I would have much preferred to have been into my room. After that, very poor start, our stay was just fine.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for choosing to stay with us. First, I want to sincerely apologize for the delay in getting you into your room. I completely understand how disappointing it is to arrive looking forward to beginning your vacation, only to spend much of the first day waiting. While I’m glad our team was able to provide compensation for the inconvenience, I recognize that the time lost is something we can’t give back. I’m pleased to hear that once you were settled into your ocean-view room, you were able to enjoy the remainder of your stay. We appreciate your patience and understanding, especially after such a frustrating start. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to host you and hope to welcome you back to Oceanside for a stay that is seamless from the moment you arrive. Warm regards, Regie Brown Area Director of Rooms
Amazing location and a repeat stay. The staff is great and if you visit often, there are staff that remember you, which makes it that much more welcoming. I always enjoy both this property and Mission Pacific. I definitely recommend.

Dear General Manager and Executive Leadership Team, I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent family stay at The Seabird Resort over Labor Day Weekend. We frequently stay at beachside resorts within the Marriott portfolio, which often cost significantly less while delivering a much higher standard of experience. Given the premium pricing, daily $55 valet fees, and $50+ resort fees attached to your property, our overall experience did not meet expectations. Our primary disappointments centered around the resort's limited amenities and lack of clear communication: Inadequate Dining and Late-Night Options: The overall food selection lacked versatility. Crucially, there were zero on-site dining options available after 9:00 PM. The property also lacks a gift shop or front-desk marketplace where families can purchase late-night snacks or basic refreshments. Unclear Beach Access and Sister Property Amenities: Upon check-in, we were not informed that beach services are handled through your sister property across the street. By the time we discovered this independently, we found that the sister location's menu choices were impractical for a resort that entertains so many families traveling with children. When a resort attaches premium daily fees, the amenities and service must match that tier. Unfortunately, the value provided during our stay did not justify the cost. This was a "one and done" visit for our family, but I hope this feedback helps your management team align its service offerings with its pricing strategy in the future. Mac G

Dear MacG760, I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed our location and found the resort itself beautiful. That said, I’m sorry that your overall experience did not provide the value and experience you expected. We understand that when guests choose a resort stay, especially over a holiday weekend, they expect the amenities, dining options, and overall experience to align with the investment they're making. I regret that we fell short in several areas during your visit. Your comments regarding late-night dining availability, the lack of grab-and-go options, and the communication around our beach services are appreciated. Clear communication is an important part of the guest experience, and it's disappointing to hear that we did not set expectations effectively upon arrival. While we cannot always be everything to every traveler, we never want our guests to leave feeling that the experience did not match the value promised. Feedback like yours helps us identify opportunities to improve and better serve future guests and families visiting our resort. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. Although you mentioned we did not earn a return visit, I would be happy to assist personally with a future visit to ensure a seamless stay. Sincerely, Regie Brown Area Director of Rooms
