As part of the ongoing Say It Loud: A James Brown–Inspired Art Experience, Andaz West Hollywood hosts a special daytime gallery activation featuring Yamma Brown, daughter of the legendary James Brown, for a book signing of her memoir Cold Sweat: My Father James Brown and Me.

In Cold Sweat, Yamma Brown offers a deeply personal reflection on life inside the orbit of one of music’s most influential figures—exploring family, fame, resilience, and identity. Timed for Grammy Weekend, this intimate event invites guests to engage with the exhibition while connecting to the lived stories behind the cultural legacy that inspired it.

Browse the artwork, meet the author, and take home a signed copy during this relaxed, culturally rich afternoon experience in West Hollywood.
