Guided by the ancient Yucatecan Maya worldview, the sacred fire—Kili’ich K’áak’—serves as a celestial conduit where intentions are carried upward by flame, smoke and breath. In gentle observance of ceremonial protocols and lunar cycles, we offer Mejen K’áak,’ “the Little Fire.” While not a full rite, it is a curated encounter that honors the fire’s essence through the virtues of presence and personal prayer.

The experience is led by Alonso Waxal Ik “Ocho Viento,” a philosopher, writer and priest of the Yucatecan lineage, who translates the ancient language of fire as a messenger to the four horizons. Within the aromatic veil of copal, guests gather to request permission of the land, offering their intentions through sacred chant and reflective silence—leaving the circle transformed by the very light they helped to kindle.

A sacred tribute to the divine feminine, the Ixchel water purification is a transformative and tender immersion into the Mayan worldview, celebrating water as the sacred, feminine source of all life, governed by the goddess Ixchel (patron of water, the moon and healing). Through a gentle ritual utilizing soft elements like water, clay vessels, flowers and the ancestral chants of the Mayan healer, guests are wrapped in a loving embrace, allowing them to feel nurtured and accepted as children of Mother Earth. This profound journey fosters deep personal purification, self-acceptance and energetic renewal, while connecting participants to the wisdom of the lunar cycles.
