"Boutiquey gem in financial district / lower manhattan"

This place is fabulous. Clean rooms. Nice SIZED rooms. It's in the lower Manhattan district but I find this area just lovely - quiet, clean, safe, not too crazy NY. You can go to parts of NY that are crazy - but this place is nice and tucked away and gives you a little reprieve to sleep and recover for the next day of adventures.

"Great staff, food and great location"

The staff was great! Food was very good as well. Great bathroom and high ceilings made the rooms feel quite roomy. The location is ideal as well as it's close to the best sites in lowest Manhattan. I recommend the hotel.

    "Incredible Hotel and Amazing Staff!"

Great location, awesome building with awesome aesthetics and décor. Staff were super friendly and always checking on us to make sure we had what we needed or just to see how our day was. Refreshing for being in NYC. The rooms are well equipped with anything you could need. Everything was super clean and service was spot on! Rooftop restaurant was awesome place to eat, but like all NYC overpriced for what you get. Not a huge deal though, there is SO much to do around here. So many restaurants, everything is a short walk through a great part of the city. Will be back for sure.

    "Hidden Gem in FiDi Area"

We have stayed here several times because of it's proximity to my son AND they are pet friendly (we have a 47 pound dog). This trip I was solo. The hotels, rooms, and bathrooms have a unique cool vibe/warm decor. Great bed linens (crisp linens and wonderful quality pillows). In a quiet area and walkable to Southstreet Seaport (great food anytime of day)( 5 minute walk), the 9/11 Memorial (10 minute walk), Battery Park (10-15 minute walk), ChinaTown and Little Italy (20 minute walk), SoHo (20-30 minutes). Close to many subway stations (easy to get to a Broadway show) and super easy to get an Uber (took one to the US Open tennis tournament). The staff treats you like family and very attentive. Prosecco time after 3:00 (they hand you a glass when you come in). A total value for a NYC hotel (especially if you book way ahead).

"First time staying at The. Gild was extremely satisfied"

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. All the staff I came in contact with had a smile on and greeted me with a hello. The lobby set the tone for the stay. Will definitely stay at The Gild next trip.

    "The nicest staff"

Everyone was so great and helpful during my entire stay. Housekeeping kept the room very clean and well stocked. The gyms are clean and have good equipment. Toward the end of the week the visitors got a bit more noisy and you can hear everything down the hall. The happy hour at the restaurant is great but there is very little for kids to eat there. We ordered in most of our dinners from outside restaurants.

    "Great place"

It was a great place to stay at. The staff was very helpful. The room was tidy and the bathroom was clean. Also it's at a very convenient location from a lot of nearby attractions and the subway station.

    "Perfect Stay"

We stayed there for two nights, at the tail end of a trip overseas. It was comfortable and relaxing. We did not hear any noise from other rooms or the street. The food at the restaurant was very good, and the Front Desk staff was excelent.

"Nice stay at Gild Hall in FiDi."

My husband and I stayed two nights at Gild Hall. We were just there for the weekend from Boston to see a show at the Rooftop at Pier 17. The location is great. We took the Amrtak from Boston to Penn Station and then the subway to the hotel - there is a stop about 3 blocks from the hotel. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance - the piers where the concert venue is plus shops and ferries, the Brooklyn Bridge, Battery Park, and the Freedom Tower and 911 memorial. The front desk staff were very warm and friendly! They gave us prosecco at check in and told us to come back for more as often as we want as they have it until 11pm every day! Wow free drinks in NYC! The hotel was very clean. Our room was spacious for NYC and very clean. There was free water bottles plus a mini bar for sale. Just to warn folks, there were a couple of "adult" items for sale towards the back of the mini bar so beware if you are there with kids. We did not eat there or take advantage of the wine bar (um free prosecco at front desk) so can't comment on that. There are several restaurants and cafe's available in the area. The hotel itself has a coffee machine with pods in the morning. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay again if we return to the area.

The room was warm and comfortable. We were impressed by the high ceilings and leather accents. The restaurant was wonderful and they were very accommodating regarding gluten free food options. We’ll definitely stay here again.
