Thompson Washington D.C. Social Private Bar

Thompson Washington D.C., features over 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, making it an ideal location in Navy Yard for small and large occasions. Modern meeting space and conference rooms include Eight Bells and All’s Well, while our private dining room and wine room can host intimate gatherings. The rooftop bar can be fully commissioned to accommodate up to 200 people and also offers a private event area with an outdoor space and a private bar overlooking Nationals Park and the Anacostia River.

The Private Bar is an elegant customizable space with stunning views and seasonal outdoor seating. The room can accommodate reception-style events as well as more traditional banquets. It easily hosts up to 75 guests for a cocktail-style reception, and can be booked separately or jointly with the Private Bar.

Daylight pours in through the industrial windows of this 900-square-foot meeting room, featuring views of the Navy Yard neighborhood. Events for up to 60 guests can easily be arranged to suit your needs — for any occasion, from a small conference to an intimate family celebration and everything in between.

All's Well

A stone boardroom table commands the center of our Eight Bells conference room while floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of Washington, D.C.'s Nationals Park. In this meeting facility — ideal for up to 32 people — guests can gather in lounge-style seating or enjoy the breezy 145- square-foot private terrace as a breakout space.

Sunny views of Tingey Street are a charming backdrop to the Private Dining Room, an elegant and customizable event venue. This spacious midcentury modern room can accommodate up to 24 guests for a cocktail-style reception, and is outfitted with a TV for presentations.

Adjacent to Thompson Washington D.C.’s elegant lobby Bar Room, the Bar Room Nook is a cozy semiprivate space perfect for intimate celebrations and small social gatherings. Large windows invite inspiring city views while midcentury modern furniture can accommodate up to 17 guests.
