Service was exceptional and hotel location was excellent. Would stay here again. Pool and Umi restaurant was delicious. Tried the fish tacos, guacamole, spicy marg, sushi and all of the apps. Saturday pool party was fun and pool service was great.

Absolutely awesome place to recharge, relax, swim, enjoy great views etc. World class service. We had been traveling for two full days before arriving and we’re greeted by one of the most helpful front desk ppl I’ve ever encountered (Stefan). He got us registered, and ready to go in record time. Our stay was perfect.

This place is beautiful and located in the middle of all the action.Its super clean and the staff are always super nice and helpful. I have stayed here 8 times now in the past 3 years. It's not on the beach but you can always go to the Thompson Beach house only a few minutes away.

Love this hotel, looks like all rooms have a balcony, clean, beautiful, great attentive staff, gorgeous roof top pool, food was good at the restaurant, beautiful views from the roof top, perfect location, would definitely stay here again, can’t wait to return

The hotel was amazing. The location can’t get any better. The staff is very attentive. You can feel safe and comfortable. Great restaurant choices in your backyard. Amazing housekeeping. I didn’t enjoy the umi restaurant (service drinks and food were horrible) so I wouldn’t recommend it.

This hotel has a nice location and they allow you access of the Hyatt beach house location which is nearby. The staff is courteous and friendly. The rooftop pool looks amazing and I wish we had a chance to try it out.

The hotel is situated perfectly, right on the beach front, just off of the main 5th Avenue, everything you need is just a minutes walk away. The facilities are lovely and staff are attentive & friendly.

All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The Room is clean and neat. The rooftop swimming pool is a unique amenity, it has an excellent view of the sea and there is also a DJ playing live music. The hotel is located in the city center. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel, you can find a lot of good restaurants within five minutes. There is also a tequila tasting event every day, I am a tequila lover and I learn a lot from that event. There is a lot of nightlife around the area.

We've stayed in Playa del Carmen many times. This stay at the Thompson was extremely comfortable. We were close to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast on the roof was fantastic. Super comfortable beds.

I booked through Priceline and upon check in we come to find out that the funds that I had originally paid weren’t successfully sent over to Thompson so therefore… we had to PAY for the stay twice! I contested booking.com / Priceline and they informed me that we paid and that they’ll contact the hotel! Well it’s day 3 and the guy at the front desk didn’t even bother to get management! Like this is someone’s JOB not mines! We had email confirmation along with receipts that we paid OVER $3,132.72! Very disappointed about how everything was handled!
