Ol Pejeta Bush Camp
Along the Ewaso Ngiro River, where Mount Kenya pierces the Laikipia County skies, rests Ol Pejeta Bush Camp — an Asilia Africa base that brings stellar seasonal game viewing and conservation-focused extras. Your wildlife wishlist is best checked off between July and October, when you’ll also be welcome to join the park’s research teams on their pride-tracking outings. Thrills come complemented by frills at this camp, with cushy wood-framed beds, fire-warmed living areas and front-row seats to this low-footfall locale.
Once you’ve booked your safari stays, the Asilia team will be in touch within 48 hours, on business days, to help arrange travel between camps, which may include charter or private small-plane flights and/or overland transfers.

Hotel Restaurant
Expect season-led dining that's proudly low on food miles. A commitment to sustainability and a celebration of local, indigenous ingredients underpin Asilia Africa’s approach to cuisine across all camps.
At Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, breakfast might be a picnic in the bush consisting of fresh fruits, yoghurt, muesli, freshly squeezed juices, baked pastries, breakfast sandwiches and wraps. But if you're staying in camp, you also have an option to start your day with hot dishes à la carte.
Across all Asilia Africa camps, the menu changes by the day; at each meal, there’ll be a choice of starters, mains, sides and desserts, with vegetarians as well served as meat eaters. Lunch on Wednesdays and dinner on Sundays are a distinctly Swahili affair, spotlighting local culinary traditions. If you have food preferences or dietary requirements, the camp’s kitchen team will be happy to adapt dishes to suit.
Hotel Bar
There's no formal bar, but you're welcome to order drinks straight to your tent or anywhere else within camp.

Room Service
Available 24 hours: you can order drinks and snacks to your tent; meals, too, can be arranged chez vous.
Worth Getting Out of Bed For
Ol Pejeta Bush Camp shares its home in the Laikipia Plateau with high concentrations of big cats, giraffes, black rhinos, zebras and elephants. Night and day game drives secure seasonal sightings; and for closer encounters, trips to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy mean meeting the world’s last two remaining northern white rhinos. Help the Ol Pejeta Ecological Monitoring team research lions by documenting their tracks, or take part in canine training with the park’s poaching patrollers.
If the unique set-up at Ol Pejeta Conservancy feels like a snapshot of Kenyan safari, extend your trip for a deep dive into the country’s natural riches. From Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, you could travel to equally scenic Rekero Camp in Maasai Mara. Or you could choose to head for Naboisho Camp instead, where a community-run, not-for-profit conservancy in the Great Rift Valley highlights the Mara’s human heritage, alongside rarefied game viewing. Whichever you plump for, allow for three nights in each camp.
