Our Favourite Rooms
The connecting Ocean and Prestige Junior Suites are the best option for families that like to stay connected; although their beachside setting makes them a popular choice for all. Whether it’s your honeymoon or just another romantic retreat, the double bath tubs and private sea-view balconies of the Sunset Junior Suites, will help set the mood for a loved-up getaway.
Poolside
There are five swimming pools for you to take a dip in; there’s an over-eights-only infinity pool in the spa and one has a children’s section.
Spa
The Lux Me spa has a long list of treatments that covers every possible need: fight the long flight with a jet-lag massage, detox and hydrate with a nourishing body wrap, or enjoy a romantic couple’s massage under the stars. Kids (over-eights) can enjoy some down time too with a cocoa body wrap and scrub, or a mini massage. They also offer tinting and waxing, manicures and pedicures, hair and make-up and henna – pampering head to toe. While waiting for your treatment, or to keep the relaxation coming afterwards, take a seat in the hammam or sauna, and let your cares float away in the whirlpool and infinity pool.

Food & Drink
Top Table
We never turn down a chance to dine alfresco, especially while staying on a tropical island: East and the Kitchen overlook the Indian Ocean and the Bar boasts blue-lagoon views.
Code vestimentaire
Take advantage of the Beach’s and the Kitchen’s casual dress code to show off your most stylish beach cover-ups, but dress to impress for a more formal dinner at East.
Hotel Restaurant
The Beach serves Mediterranean flavours in a relaxed but refined beachfront setting. Dine under coconut palms on light, flavourful dishes that celebrate the essence of coastal living – pizzas worthy of Napoli, grilled sacré chien (red snapper), healthy salads and low-carb burgers all make an appearance. The Kitchen, the resort’s main restaurant, serves up global flavours to suit every taste, with interactive food stations and a lagoon-side setting. Think Greek salads, Italian paninis, stir-fried beef with black pepper sauce, or Mauritian favourites like calamari rougaille cooked in tomato sauce with ginger and garlic. Wander along the beach to Vik’s, a charming fisherman’s shack, for just-caught sea urchins and a glass of chilled rum arrangé. After lunch, stop by Ici, the resort’s in-house ice cream parlour, for a scoop or two of homemade, handcrafted goodness – including dairy-free and sorbet options. Maison Lux brings a slice of European café culture to the beach, with artisanal coffee, Italian-style aperitifs and pastries served in a pistachio-green salon. For date night, dress up for East, the resort’s refined Thai restaurant set just steps from the shore. The zero-waste kitchen has no set menu – instead, the chef tailors dishes to your tastes on the spot. Expect authentic flavours, beautiful presentation, and a serene, dimly lit setting that does the trick every time. Kawaii is an intimate Omakase experience where the chef curates a guided tasting menu just for you, paired with sake, Japanese beers and wine.
Hotel Bar
There are three bars around the hotel. The Bar and Maison Lux has all your drinks sorted, dawn to dusk. Stop by the Milanese-inspired Maison in the morning for coffee and pastries in a tropical, pistachio green setting; enjoy an island-inspired snack or a light meal on the shady veranda at lunchtime; and at night, sip fruity cocktails while listening to live music. Midday mojitos and margaritas at Oasis and Ilot are our new favourite way to hydrate; these poolside bars are ideally set so you never need to leave the water simply swim up to the bar and while staying cool in the pool.
Last Orders
Breakfast at The Kitchen is 7am–10.30am. The Kitchen and The Beach serve lunch from noon to 3pm. Dinner at all restaurants is 7pm-10pm. Maison Lux opens from 8am-11pm, Oasis and llot from 10am-6pm while the Bar is open from 10am 'til midnight.

Planes
Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International is the only airport on the island and is around a 80-minute drive from the hotel. Fly direct from the UK and Europe; if travelling from Australia connect at Perth, or from America, you’ll connect via Paris. Our Smith24 team of travel experts can book your international flights and arrange transfers to and from the airport (€160 each way).
Automobiles
You’ll have everything you need at the hotel, but if you do want your own set of wheels, our Smith24 team can arrange a rental for you to pick up at the airport. There’s free valet parking at the hotel.
Worth Getting Out of Bed For
Explore Mauritius above and below its deep-blue waterline. The hotel offers an array of watersports: windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, snorkelling and waterskiing are all included in your booking, but if you want to splash out a little, for an extra cost the hotel also offers catamaran cruises, speedboat trips to nearby islands, fishing excursions and scuba diving for both beginners and experts. Wake early for a chance to spot and swim with wild dolphins, or discover the vibrantly coloured tropical fish and coral reefs closer to the coast in one of the hotel’s subscooters (a two-man mini-submarine). The hike up Le Morne mountain can be quite challenging, but you’ll be in the safe hands of an expert guide and the panoramic view from the top makes the ascent well worth the effort. Discover the island’s rich hinterland on mountain bikes or horseback on a trek through the jungle; alternatively a sunset ride through the surf is a movie-worthy end to a romantic day. The nearby Heritage, Tamarina and Paradis golf clubs have first-class fairways and to drive fore ocean views. Or why not take to the air and explore Mauritius by helicopter or seaplane.
