Rodavento Valle de Bravo is a wood-and-steel architectural symphony in a 55-acre forest, home to a glittering lake and swimming pool, rolling hills and an outdoorsy activities centre. Nature-lovers will come over all Wordsworthian here, thanks to the magnificent Mexican scenery; a serene spa, dazzling restaurant and adventurous treehouse casitas add manmade flourishes to the mix, too. Little Smiths won’t ever want to leave, either, thanks to the brilliant kids club and its alfresco expeditions, pizza-making sessions and am-dram theatre productions.

La Cocina de Rodavento is a majestic, lofty-ceilinged, lake-surveying setting for meals. Expect fresh, flavour-packed dishes inspired by the local region and featuring fish a-go-go; don’t miss the pistachio mole or the blackened artichoke.

Stop by lakeside El Bar for an evening cocktail around the firepit or a glass of regional wine that brings a taste of the surrounds to your glass.
Last Orders
Rodavento has a pleasingly relaxed approach to timings: breakfast is served from 8am until 11am, lunch from 1pm to 4pm and dinner from 8pm until 11pm.
