The Roc Club
Yacht spotter’s rest
Capital coastline
Set south of Athens, on the shores of Lake Vouliagmeni, the Roc Club is all about framing that view. Oak-finished interiors are drenched in natural light, and private terraces put the Riviera’s glistening Aegean coastline on decadent display. For those who like their luxury, Astir Marina’s superyachts are an amble away, lauded chefs transform Attican ingredients into delight-prompting dishes on the rooftop and Helios shines bright over the pool — this celeb-drawing spot certainly knows how to work its angles.

Our Favourite Rooms
Every room at the Roc Club has its own private terrace, but the Club Deluxe Room takes the win for its uninterrupted Aegean and Astir Marina views. If you’re travelling as a four, the Club Suite has two bedrooms and doubles down on idyllic alfresco spots.
Poolside
Hail Helios from the outdoor pool (open from 11am to 7pm), a glimmering, sun-drenched spot etched into the coast with undisturbed views of the Astir Marina’s superyacht setting. And if you’re sensitive to this Greek god’s strength, lofty pine trees make for shaded idling.
Spa
There’s no spa here, but staff can arrange for masseurs to provide healing treatments in your room.

Food & Drink
Top Table
Any of the sea-facing alfresco seats up on the roof make for enviable evening spots.
Dress Code
Jackets and ties aren’t essential, but the rooftop restaurant does ask you bring your best threads out for dinner — save the boardies and beachwear for the poolside bar.
Hotel Restaurant
There are two to pick from: a panoramic rooftop restaurant and casual lounge bar. If you’re after something easy, say bite-size burgers and all-day club sandwiches, then the latter delivers. For more of a formal evening affair, reserve a table on the rooftop for inventive Mediterranean plates and panoramic views of the Aegean and Laimos Bay.
Hotel Bar
Craft cocktails and light coastal bites fill menus at the pool bar, and at both restaurants there’s a lengthy list of local Hellenic wines to choose from, as well as beers and spirit-based concoctions.
Last Orders
Breakfast is available at both restaurants between 7am and 10.30am and dinner is 6pm to 11pm. Lunch is served at the lounge bar from noon till 6pm, and the pool bar is open from 11am to 7pm.
Room Service
Breakfast can be brought to your door from 7am to noon, and an all-day menu is available after that, until 11pm.
Planes
Athens International Airport is your closest, with direct routes from Europe and the States’ busiest hubs. From the airport, it’s a 40-minute drive to the hotel and staff can arrange private transfers for an additional charge.
Automobiles
You shouldn’t need a car around town and traffic can be off-putting in Athens, so if you’re planning on visiting the capital, it’s best to hop in a taxi. For those exploring further afield and arriving with their own set of wheels, there’s free parking at the hotel.
Worth Getting Out of Bed For
You can leave the Greek guidebooks at home for this one — the Roc Club has a dedicated concierge team on hand to plan your excursions down to the last detail. A guided visit around Athens’ Acropolis brings its rich history into focus; enjoy personalised art tours around the city’s museums and watch the sun set over the Temple of Poseidon. If you’re more interested in literary legends, hop aboard a boat to the island of Hydra for a day trip around Leonard Cohen and Kenneth Koch’s old hangouts. For those most at home in the water, kayaking can take you to the Riviera’s secluded coves; you can scuba dive among ancient wrecks around Patroklos Island or cruise just offshore with a private boat tour. And for the oenophiles — local vineyards show off Greece’s terroir with enlightening wine tastings.
