Under Canvas Glacier is your nature-blessed basecamp, mere miles from Montana’s majestic Glacier National Park, where snow-dusted peaks and rugged ravines tower over turquoise lakes and wildflower meadows. The camp’s savvy adventure coordinator can help you plan days spent rafting, hiking or fly fishing in this pristine, alpine landscape. All-natural activities (albeit slightly less adrenalin-pumping) continue back at camp: sunrise yoga, live music and s’mores under the stars.

Rates don’t include breakfast, but fresh spreads are available daily from $10 to $20 each. You’ll have free access to yoga classes, indoor and outdoor games, stargazing and (unlimited nightly) s’mores sessions, and as much coffee and tea as you’d like.

Walking trails, yoga deck with Lululemon mats and blocks to borrow, nightly campfires, refillable aluminum water bottles, water refill stations, free hot drinks, board games, guest experience coordinators and a small boutique. In tents: USB battery packs, battery-powered fans, a wood-burning stove, lanterns and organic Essential Oils bath products.

The Deluxe tents are made for adventure-loving couples; cozy up on the deck or by your wood-burning stove. The spacious Suite tents are best suited to families, as are the options with an adjacent kids’ tent.
Packing Tips
The camp has an acoustic guitar you can borrow, so there's no need to bring your own for fireside serenading under the star-freckled sky.
Also
There’s no WiFi here, and you won’t find any TVs around, meaning evenings tend to be filled with stargazing and fireside music and s’mores.

Welcome; there’s no kids’ club or babysitting, but all tent types can come with an adjacent kids’ tent, and family-friendly activities included with your stay make Under Canvas an all-ages favorite.

Embers café’s alfresco setting calls for cozy clothing and warm layers.
Hotel Restaurant
Embers café will satiate pre- and post-adventure appetites. From the walk-up window, order breakfast yogurt bowls and egg sandwiches, buy grab ’n’ go bites to take on the trails and, at day’s end, dine on regionally inspired plates including salads, nachos and barbecue bowls. Your day will end on a sweet note – help yourself to generously supplied s’mores around the fire pit.

Toast to your day with a craft beer or glass of wine at the Embers dining area or by one of the fire pits.

Breakfast is available from 7am to 10am; dinner is served between 5pm and 10pm.

Worth Getting Out of Bed For
Under Canvas Glacier’s prime position, next to oh-so-green Glacier National Park, is something to write home about (though a postcard might not be enough space to recount your adventurous antics). You can go fly fishing on the pristine banks of Flathead River’s Middle Fork, or bob along its gentle currents on a scenic float; guest experience coordinators can arrange picturesque riverside meals after both activities. Up the ante with whitewater rafting, where stomach-churning rapids set pulses racing. And on solid ground, opt for a driving tour through forest-flanked valleys or choose from a glut of guided hikes: Many Glacier Valley trails feature snow-capped peaks mirrored in glassy lakes; Two Medicine Valley nurtures montane forests and wildflower-carpeted meadows, and hikes in Avalanche Lake lead past glacial erratics and bubbling creeks.
