We had to have heater repaired in our room. Air noise under the door annoying. Missed having a microwave in the room. Maid service was excellent. Watch your bill...we were charged more than the receipt total. When we complained, it magically got fixed. Valet was ridiculously expensive.

Conference food was awful, the vegetarian lunch box consisted of the same wrap every day a small pot of "salad" that was mainly cucumber that tasted like it had been stewing in the dressing for days a bag of crisps and a cookie. The main course for the dinner was stodgy and bitter tasting pastry filled with rice and sweetcorn which was dry and tasteless. Drinks at the hotel bar were overpriced compared to other establishments nearby

Choose your hotel carefully as you will not have many options within walking distance, once you arrive in Houston. We were able to find many bars nearby on the weekend but not much else. Highly recommend happy hour at Dean's Downtown and a side trip to Notsuch bar next door! The metro is easy to figure out and runs to the museum district for minimal fares, you will not want to walk the streets. You will be approached and asked for money by at least one person each trip on the Metro rail. The Hyatt Regency Houston is a nice hotel with a large open space atrium, it can be loud at night if the bar in the lobby is busy. The outdoor pool has a nice deck on the sixth floor and gas firepit. It does close for private event and therefore may not be available at all times for use. The gym in the basement was clean and well kept. The rooms were standard Hyatt with shared soap and essentials from Pharmacopia. Even if you want to Uber to the hotel from IAH (Bush airport) I found the bus (#102 easy walk, two blocks from Hotel and cost only $1.25 for the return to the airport. I feel like I need to give Houston another chance, the people seemed great but just the most quite and empty city I've ever been in on the weekend.

Conference banquet: rushed service, hostile wait staff, bar closed hour early, irate staff manager, attendees escorted out of event by security and banished to their rooms for the evening -was bizarre! In general, food and drinks on-site were over-priced and amenities were sparse and unavailable (pool closed for an event). Lots of security in lobby. On the positive side, while the room had no wall art (not an issue, just an observation), it was one of the darkest and quietest I have stayed in lately which was fantastic for sleeping. Was just a really strange experience all around.

The Rooms are great, the hotel building is great the Service is just average and the Gym is tiny. The overall price is expensive but it might be normal pricing for Houston. The lobby bar service was not great, even when it wasn't that busy no one is in any hurry to come and check on you.

Room service was dismal--a paper bag with cold food and disposable serving ware. Work out room with no internet connection on workout equipment (despite repeatedly bringing this up to attendant's attention).

This was a beautiful hotel and good customer service. Valet service was a bit delayed. Bathmat needs to be closer to the tub and not under the sink area on the far wall, where the towels are kept underneath. I slipped in the tub, because there was no bathmat and when I did notice the bathmat, it was across the room, under the sink area. Aside from this the rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfy, and clean.

Great place for conference other than a lot of places closed down over the weekend. Loved the fireplace by the pool. The stake restaurant was amazing. Breakfast buffet was good. The coffee place in lobby has everything you need when nothing else is open.

During my recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Houston, I was thoroughly impressed by the extraordinary service provided by the housekeeping and front desk staff. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured a spotlessly clean and inviting room, while their warm and professional demeanor made every interaction a pleasure. It's rare to encounter such a consistent level of care and hospitality. This team truly understands the essence of a welcoming atmosphere and it made my visit to Houston memorable. Kudos to the staff for their dedication to excellence—it certainly does not go unnoticed!

The property and staff were top notch. Exceeded most of the other properties in which we have stayed. The pool area is hidden and wonderful. Loved the gift for being a Hyatt member. The view both inside and out is pretty special.
