Perfect location

I was really impressed with the Hyatt. For starters, the location was perfect! It was easy to walk to restaurants and attractions. It was right in the middle of all the action. The beach had plenty of space even if you didn’t reserve a chair they were very accommodating and tried to help where they good. Food and drinks were great and the staff was very friendly. The entire resort was spotless! They must have had people cleaning around the clock because the place was always tidy. This includes pool/beach side rest rooms. Taxis and transportation were always readily available. We didn’t have to wait longer than 2 minutes for a ride. The area was safe and I felt respected by both staff and the local community. The casino wasn’t huge but definitely big enough to accommodate the crowd. They had both a family pool and adult only pool which was nice. Pools were also kept very clean. I loved the little coffee shop on the property as well. I overall have nothing negative to say. I recommend the Hyatt to anyone traveling to the area.

Heaven on Earth. If you have not been, highly recommend going and the Hyatt Regency is the best resort on the Island! Every aspect of the facility is excellent. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed and will come away not wanting to leave.

We love Aruba

I think we picked the perfect hotel in the best part of town. Such a beautiful and clean hotel with an amazing staff! The hundreds of koi fish and the black swan swimming right up to where we ate dinner at one of their restaurants made it extra special.

No power, no water, no wifi

While the property itself and casino are beautiful, the staff and management leave much to be desired. During our stay over Thanksgiving, we experienced multiple hours without power, a day without wifi and several hours where the entire property was without water causing a public health concern. Imagine being in a hotel at capacity with no flushing toilets or working sinks… any where on the property. All this without explanation or communication from management. At the very least to post something in public spaces or leave a voice message on the in-room phones acknowledging the issues and what the remediation plan is or at least there will be further updates to follow as progress continues or issues are identified. Leaving guests in the dark literally and figuratively leaves room for panic, frustration and poor customer service. While it is understandable things happen, the lack of communication or accountability of these incidents is not at all what we would expect from a property of this caliber. We are hoping this experience provides a learning opportunity to better handle incidents like this in the future.

Hyatt Regency Aruba

A wonderful resort with Uber friendly and helpful stall. My Room on the 7th floor was nice, clean, and beds very comfortable. My only major complaint during my stay was the pitiful spotty WiFi service throughout the property and especially in my room. If you are a digital nomad, the spotty WiFi is the only reason to pass up on this property.on this property.

Hotel is very clean Great location near many restaurants and shops. Staff very good. Pools and beach beautiful. Housekeeping did great job room sometime cleaned twice a day. Short trip to airport. Enjoyed our stay

Beautiful Property

Property is wonderful, but it’s time for them to update the mattresses in the rooms. Stayed in a lot of hotels but never had a mattress that hurt my back the way this one did. Also had issues where internet and tv went out one morning for about 4+ hours. The same evening we had no water when we came up from the beach. They said it would be out for a couple of hours so we had to go to dinner without a shower that night.

There’s room for improvement. May be willing to give another try if they make it right.

Power outages, snappy assistant managers, food service was a call for help with little attention paid to guests who weren’t in cabanas. Some of the food was delicious, other lunch options were “eh” . Noisy kids running up and down halls with no supervision. Loud obnoxious “18” year olds drinking in the adult only sections.

Smoky room, poor manager response, fight for beach and pool chairs

1) I’ll never go back. Never recommend and tell people to avoid this property. Beach chair and pool chair reservation system was a joke. I had two rooms for 6 people but could only reserve 4 chairs without paying $60-70 more for another set of chairs. Then they would be given away or “sold” by the beach chair people before 9:30 or 10:00 and I’d have to go fight to give them back. Family told me they tipped the staff to get those chairs and My reservation was moved from my confirmed chairs to elsewhere. Crazy. So I’d wake up fighting for chairs I pay for. Great way to start my my morning on vacation. We were so ready to leave this property we almost moved to the Ritz. Several hours without water or electricity and no compensation. Room was such a strong smell of smoke j went and bought a diffuser so we could sleep. No remedy for the smoky room by managers. Will never ever return to a Hyatt property again. Oh beach is not clear and sea weed and boat dock next door stirs up so much sand water is not clear. Stay at ritz if you want a nice experience and beach in Aruba. Stear clear.
