This is a typical downtown hotel with a small but very nice room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, as you would expect from a Hyatt. The shower in our room felt very upper end. There were nice small touches like a floor light that came on when you got out of bed. The hotel has a workout room which was nicely equipped. And the location is great. Pub trans is within a few steps of the door, Powell's books is right down the street, you're right near the Pearl District where there are great restaurants and shops. We were able to take the Max from the airport, used the Portland Streetcar and buses to get around, so we didn't need to rent a car. (Buy a HOP card and you can save money and time). The staff at Hyatt Centric is friendly and welcoming. One night we came down and they were having a "wine tasting" which essentially was a free happy hour. The restaurant also has a happy hour menu. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant is good and you'll find a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The staff kindly recommended a great ramen place down the street for lunch. It was fab. We'll stay here again next time we're in Portland.
