Took my son to the aquarium of the pacific. The hotel was perfect location just a 5 minute walk. Called the hotel since we were done with the aquarium by 1ish and didn’t have check in until 4pm they were very accommodating and I was able to check in early. On the way to the hotel there were tons of food trucks along the street. That was a plus. Was able to pick up a drink to go to my room and relax with my family. Would return.

Long Beach Fun

The Hyatt Centric is a nice place with convenient access to parking at the municipal lot, the Convention Center, and the tourist attractions on the water. If you are looking to be in the hub of activity on the weekend, this is it. The roof deck pool has some pretty impressive views, though it didn't appear to be staffed much at all the two times I went up. Staff in the market and at the desk were all friendly and helpful. I had a spacious king room, with enough space, though things like the yellow couch were a little rough for the wear. 

Youthful Environment

It was a great hotel experience. It was a nice and clean hotel and the room was a nice size. I think the staff could've been friendly, but they were not rude. I simply just expected more. The weekend was double the cost on a regular day which was not worth it since I was checking out early the very next day. It was about $430 for one night. 

Weekend

My family and I had a great couple nights here. The highlights were definitely the location and the rooftop pool - what a great view! And I never even got in the car again after we got there....so much to do within walking distance - shopping, coffee, restaurants, sightseeing. Oh, and I had the best sleep here then anywhere else on our vacation. :)

Good Times

the staff could not accommodate an early check in that was requested 2 weeks prior. The bed was very uncomfortable, lumpy and the coils were felt through the mattress. the pillows smelt like the persons before me. The elevators were dirty and it did not measure to the Hyatt Long Beach

I love their showers. They have both the rain shower and the regular shower that’s wall mounted and handheld. That was the main reason I stayed here. It’s also within walking distance of a lot of shopping, entertainment and restaurants — both downtown and on the beach. Clean rooms and easy to check in early. I appreciate not having to lug around a heavy bag until official check in times start.

Solid stay

We had issues with sending a tux and a dress to be pressed.  We had it to them by 4PM and it was supposed to be returned by 10:30 the next morning.  Apparently, the front desk staff didn't know this and kept telling us that it wouldn't be back until 5PM.  We made them get the form to show them that it was supposed to be back by 10:30AM.  They finally called the dry cleaner and got it back but then charged us double because of the expedited request to the dry cleaner.  My husband told them "this is not an expedite, you failed to send it last evening when you were supposed to but rather chose to send it in the morning" and they reversed the charges.  Apparently the staff that was supposed to send it out at 4:30PM (we got it to them at 4PM) decided not to send it and it went in the morning.  It was a fiasco and we needed those items back for a cocktail party that evening.  We were not happy at all.

Also, while the little restaurant was OK, I expected better.  it's more of a café rather than a bar/restaurant.  

This was a wedding for my niece and they set up the block but to be honest, I would have stayed at the Regency down the street had I known the services weren't what I expected. 

Lastly, lobby furniture was filthy and the pool furniture was also very dirty.  There was no food service on the roof top pool/patio which we expected but come to find out, only on weekends.

It was all very disappointing.  

Not worth of the Hyatt name

I really enjoyed my stay here. The property was very clean and nice. The room was very well appointed and luxurious. It had a lot of cool and useful features throughout. The location is great. Close by to many stores and restaurants. The rooftop pool was super cool. You get great views of the whole area. 

Highly recommend

The location is so close to all the restaurants and activities, as well as, the convention center.  The hotel is adorable, clean and has a fantastic staff! Just walk out the door and you hit the Pike and all the fun thats around.

Great Stay

Excellent customer service, professional staff clean rooms my request were easily met. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Room was quiet in the bed was comfortable. Room was spacious. The only negative is that you have to pay for parking but if you’re there last for six hours they do validate. I like that it is a small hotel close to shopping and activities.

Nice

The only down was no valet but the very close self parking was great, cheap and accessible. Overall a great stay and walking distance to the aquarium. Great service. Great location to several food options and shopping.

Relaxing Stay

We just returned from our stay for the 4th of July at the Hyatt Centric The Pike.  We were met by Rachel at the front desk.  Her friendly and professional demeanor made us feel at home immediately.  She also made arrangements for my wife and I to work out at the larger fitness center at their sister property across the street.
We spent most of our stay at the rooftop pool.  Richard and Jasmine were amazing.  Their incredible friendly service and way of anticipating our needs was appreciated.  Doug in security did an excellent job of making sure the holiday crowd had fun but stayed safe.

The hotel and accommodations were excellent but the staff mentioned above is the primary reason the Hyatt Centric remains our first choice when visiting Long Beach!

Great stay

This hotel was great for our family of 4. it is walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities and even though they don't have their own parking structure, there is one just a couple of steps from hotel that is only $16/overnight stay (way cheaper than any other hotel parking I've had ever stayed in) 

Great Location

This hotel exceeded expectations. It was a close walk to the convention center and countless amenities. The staff were welcoming, supportive, and helpful as I ran around pre-Convention. 10/10 would stay again!

Perfect Location, Gracious Staff

Once again the Hyatt was very accommodating for our early check in and late check out. The room was pristine and the staff was A1. Hyatt hotels are first rate. Long Beach is a terrific place to visit.

Love the Hyatt

I arrived early in the day after selecting early check in, only to learn there is a $75.00 fee to have access to a completely ready room that otherwise would be sitting empty. I have never had a hotel ask for money to have access to an available room early; sometimes there is not room ready and you wait. I was speaking at a conference and ended up changing in a public bathroom.

We were in long beach for a sports event, I’m not a huge fan of the city, sorry, many parts of it seem empty and just not super nice, so I was pleasantly surprised this hotel and all the surrounding area is new and very nice with shops food trucks restaurants all right there and super close to the convention centre where our event was. The rooftop pool and bar were an insanely awesome extra! Great place to stay in long beach, I doubt you could do better anywhere 

Amazing location in long beach

Great hotel location - 5 mins walk to convention center where we were playing.  Loved being within the outlet mall.  Many shops of families to walk around an shop in - loved the atmosphere.  The water bottle fill up at the elevators was super helpful!  All the girls wanted their own comforters and the hotel was gracious enough to provide extras for our room.  The bed was super comfortable and once the shower warmed up it was great as well.  The pool area was amazing with bar and food service.  We were able to take our own food and drinks up there if we wanted to.  The fireside area was super as well.  Loved this hotel.

JVA Volleyball Tournament Hotel

Great place to stay while in Long Beach.  Would be 5 starts, but the only drawback is parking.  You can park at the garage adjacent, for $16.00 a day, but should be added to the hotel stay. Staff is very attentive and delivers great customer service. 

Pleasant

This is a pretty expensive property and a high point redemption, but the building shows its age despite renovations, and overall doesn't offer that much. We weren't impressed with the bar/lounge on the first floor, where everything was overpriced, and it took 30 minutes just to get a coffee. The rooftop pool was fine, but small and shallow with a limited bar operating on pretty limited hours. 

We had a great time here, I would just say it wasn't a great value. 

Fun place to visit family, overpriced hotel

Great hotel with a very good location. Staff was very friendly and helpful - my phone charger died and the front desk guy was awesome, let me borrow one from the hotel at 5 am! Clean facility and I would recommend to anyone!

Great conference visit

My first stay in Long Beach- we chose this hotel based off reviews and location. The staff was incredibly helpful with check in and even allowed us early check in when our travel plans changed. 

The room was spotless, beds were SO comfortable, and the black out curtains made our mid day nap possible. The A/C was cold and bath water hot. I was completely impressed with this room and did not have one single things to suggest. 

We had planned to go to a special brunch for my birthday the next morning- but the cafe downstairs had perfect items on their menu (they even had pancakes and mimosas in a can!) so we stayed in. 

We didn’t use the rooftop pool, as it was cool and drizzly outside, but we did take in the view. The rooftop area is really nice. Overall- this was the BEST hotel experience I have had ever (and I am 52 years young this year). I highly recommend, and plan to return. Thank you to the front desk staff!!

Choose THIS one!

This Hyatt is quite good, it is located to quite a few different shops, several light houses and eateries. Lots to do. The property is pretty new, pet friendly and has a rooftop pool.

 However at points the area can get a bit... "lively" That does die down after 12am.

Great newer centrally located property

We learned this hotel is in a great location for our visit to the Long Beach Aquarium (Aquarium of the Pacific) and accessible to lots of restaurants & activities, as well as shopping. Parking is simple and reasonably priced compared to other hotels and parking options. The hotel staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful - attentive to all of our needs. The hotel is smaller than other nearby hotels so it had more of a boutique hotel feel. There's no jacuzzi at this hotel but a very nice pool area.

Great Location & Experience!

The rooms were great, location was fantastic and the staff all went above and beyond.  The food selection was good as well!  Highly Recommend!  I'm planning to come back to the area with my children and I will absolutely stay here.

Great experience!

Wonderful Hotel, with great staff. Restaurant and Bar is amazing and create special menus for events in the city. Staff were welcoming and provided helpful tips and guides for attractions around the hotel.

review of hotel stay

Great to see the place we used to live in doing so well. So nice to catch up with old friends and new Little’s that have been born since then. Hotel was great and right in the middle of the action as always. 

Good to be back home

Staff were excellent and worked really hard to help me with whatever I needed.  The rooftop was gorgeous.  Rooms were very spacious and the bed was soooooo comfortable.  Good sized bathroom with a shower that could hold 5 people lol.  Had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful

Great location and good, clean and reasonably sized rooms, cafe in the hotel itself was a big plus for morning coffee and breakfast. No parking included but the LB parking lot is right next door and charges $16 for overnight parking. Very close to the LB attractions and all within walking distance. Rooftop pool with a nice view of the water and LB. 

Great location for Long Beach

The rooms were remodeled during covid but already feel dated. The bathroom tile was really dirty and is in need of a good steam cleaning.The hotel had a nicer feel prior to the refresh. Now it feels cheap. We came down for Long Beach Grand Prix and stayed , something we've done before but I really don't like that you are required to stay 3 night's, especially due to the cost of the rooms due to the races. We booked in January and booked 3 nights because we had no choice, but the week of the races we were able to get a Friday/Saturday last minute for a second couple that decide to come. Just kind of frustrating. 

Average hotel experience.

We stayed three nights during the Grand Prix and had problems with the AC, uncomfortable bed, terrible view, and wasn't greeted for being a World of Hyatt Member. Not worth paying over $2300 for three nights.

Price for the quality

It was aggressively mediocre, while striving to be better. The bathroom was my biggest let down, the shower was a joke with water pressure and the "rain" portion of the shower head was so close to the wall you could lean on it while trying to just stay in the shower. 

If it's all ya got then it's good enough, better if it's not your money.

On the 3rd day of my business trip, as I was stepping into the shower to turn it on, I stepped into a toxic mix of black, backed up sewage.  Needless to say, it was disgusting and I could not wait for a plumber as I had to go to a meeting.  only one of the two elevators operated during the entire stay and that made for some delays.  The restaurant was not staffed well and tables/chairs were dirty. Not what I expect from Hyatt, where I have enjoyed tier level of Diamond/Globalist for 15 years.

Hyatt Centric Pike Long Beach Needs To Be Maintained

Had booked another property until we found the price of this one drop.  So happy we changed as this was so centrally located and very walkable to many restaurants, tourist areas, bars and of course the shops next door!  The bar was excellent and Richard and Samantha made us feel really welcome. Our room was not made up the second day we were there even though we did ask for it to be done. Also, the walls were a little thin…not sure if some one was at the pool area or in their room but it was rather noisy in the small hours of the morning.  During our stay one of the lifts went out of order which we have noticed happens frequently from other reviews.  But, for our first stay in Long Beach, I think we chose the perfect property.

Ideal place to stay in Long Beach if you have not been before

Great location close to the mall. We stayed for 3 nights and staff was friendly. Clean rooms, bed was comfortable but rollout sofa bed was not. Elevator is the slowest as others have mentioned. Only 1 elevator works and can take minimum of 10 mins to show up

Confortable clean rooms

Location was great, everything is walking distance. Parking is in the structure $16 per full day. I wasn’t able to get receipts for work. ( the hotel doesn’t own the parking lot) coffee shop/ restaurant / bar seemed good. I only bought coffee, but the menu seemed good & customers were always around. Staff was very friendly. 
This place is probably out of my personal price range, I was grateful that my company choose this location. Especially not having to deal with a shuttle to and from the convention. 

Location was great

The front desk failed to notify me that my Uber Eats order arrived even though I had called down ahead of time and asked that they alert me of its arrival. The cleaning staff elected to have a raucous staff meeting in the adjacent guest room early on our day of departure and WOKE US UP. The hotel is near the airport and you hear airplanes all night long. 

Inattentive and Inconsiderate Staff

Horrible parking arrangements and fitness center is nearly non-existing.  You have to remember to scan parking pass each time you retrieve car.  There exist no “in and out” parking.  There are Holiday Inns that have better work out facility than this facility.  Truly SAD!

Hyatt Centric Below Standard

You get nothing and pay through the nose for it.  Go to a Motel 6.  No room service.  Very rough around the edges.  Nothing to offer.  Just a place to sleep for $500.  Absolutely frustrating experience for the money.

Stay Away.

This hotel is beautiful! Surrounded by everything. Definitely would stay again. Perfect spot before cruising. Staff was awesome and Richard in the bar was amazing. I would definitely not eat in the hotel because way toooooo expensive. Go to the food trucks or surrounding restaurants. Did I mention the Hotel is attached to the outlet. Just an added plus.

Hyatt Centric LGB

Front desk customer service was very bad. Have stayed here must times in the past but this time they’ve changed their staff and the new staff were totally rude and nonchalant. Their attitude was, we have a great name hotel in a great location. And we don’t care about customer service because we are booked at all times.

Very poor customer service

Hotelis lovcated within walking distance of everything. Great restaurants and sites to visit with many choices for the whole family. If there for an event at the convention center it's a very short walk. Room was very comfortable and staff was very friendly.

Exceptional Location

Vacation

Hyatt at the Pike feels like a boutique hotel and not a large national brand. Service was good and the food at the lobby restaurant is very good.. better than expected. The bar service is VERY good for a hotel bar and our server Richard was incredible,., very memorable.. 

Only complaint is the elevator situation. 1 of the 2 elevators was down our entire visit and at one point BOTH were down.. so ridiculous.. Can they not get parts for an elevator in LOS ANGELES????  Good grief...

Anyway we overall enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Nice spot in Long Beach

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach is a basic conference hotel next to an outlet mall.  Convenient for us before boarding our cruise ship in two days. The room, with a queen and king bed, had only one desk chair. So for two to watch the one TV one had to lay on the bed.
 
We had upgraded to a STUDIO SUITE for $35 a night expecting a better room with maybe a view. That room was a bit larger with one king bed, couch and chair. The couch was old and grungy – no view. Fortunately, was to get the original room back. Had to call from home to be reimburse the $70.

Basic Conference Hotel

Loved the location! So many things to do in walking distance.   Everything was Clean. Food was great! So many things to do in walking distance. Loved the size of the bathroom and shower area, so much space! 

Quick weekend trip

This was my second stay here with a large group. We liked the location however due to billing issues (not entirely their fault to begin with) and broken elevators both times, we will not be staying here again. 

Will not stay here again

Overpriced. Front desk and staff are slow and not helpful. Room was dirty with hair all around. Room Ac sounds like a 74r7 during takeoff. I had to sleep with AC off because of the noise. Mini fridge in room is just a cooler. Just one elevator in operation. Took forever to take the elevator. No parking on site. No breakfast. In site cafe is a joke. Rooftop pool dirty and no service. Almost $500 a night for mediocrity. 

AVOID!!!!

excellent experience at a very reasonable rate. the hotel and rooms are clean. the location is excellent, walking distance to shops and restaurants and the LB convention center. Even downtown LB is near. 

Great lodging option in central in Long Beach

The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable.  Great location in the middle of shopping and close to restaurants.  The staff was very helpful and accommodating.  The hotel was very clean and the cleaning staff did an amazing job.

Great place to stay

nice hotel and clean rooms. Only 1 working elevator!! And when that went out, guests had to use the stairs. Unacceptable in todays world. No explanation or offer to use service elevator for those guests that had difficulty with stairs

Those with disabilities beware

Lifts/elevators out of order food was inedible poor delivery time… chef left site at 19.40 so only burnt pizza available. Staff uninterested in listening to our concerns or complaint. Very disappointed and will never stay there again 

Worst hotel experience

Hotel is within walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping options right on the water. 
No quick grocery options 
Complementary breakfast not an option and the breakfast you can purchase is pricey. 


So many options

I booked this hotel through the travel site for the company I work for in Long Beach. I've already stayed at 2 other hotels in Long Beach-the Westin and the Rennaissance-within the last 2 months. I will definitely be returning to the Hyatt Centric next month. It's clean, low key and staff is friendly. Bar tender at the lounge was nice and courteous. The only thing missing is either bar food or hot sandwiches for lunch and dinner. If food was available at the lounge, then this place would definitely get 5 stars from me. 

Hidden gem

No water! Clean room, helpful staff. No room service:/ challenging for late arrival. Lots of homeless Californians in the area, Accessible shops but I did not feel comfortable walking at night. You can order in. 

Business stay

Taking kids to the Long Beach Aquarium and decided to spend a weekend there to save us a drive back home, this hotel is a perfect location as many reviewers have mentioned.
We booked a standard room and it was clean and roomy, love how spacious the restroom was.  Staff was pleasant and helpful 

Wonderful staycation

The Hyatt Centric was great, location, location, location, center of everything. Loved it the clean modern room. Pool had a great view the Pike Place Market. Walking location to everything, we parked our car and never used it until we left. 

Loved the location in Long Beach

Smoke alarm in rooms went off continuously for 90 minutes at 6 am with no resolution. Staff was not interested in fixing this and no one apologize or tried to right this wrong. Consumer beware...this property is not interested in customer service 

Terrible

You have to pay to park your car at the parking garage and it is $18 over night and the hotel breakfast was as pricey as Starbucks and no free coffee, but over all great hotel and location. I do recommend the hotel and it is so nice to walk out the hotel and shop and eat and walk around the pier

Excellent hotel with fast check in. Clean, modern and very close to everything. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Long Beach, California especially if you are looking in traveling to Catalina Island as the ferry terminal is very close by.

EXCELLENT

Room was clean and spacious. 
Price could be cheaper but since it’s the holiday season, it was more expensive than typically I would pay for the type of Hyatt and room. Parking could use validation if eating at the hotel market cafe. 

Clean and spacious

Great place to jump off for a cruise! Love it here! A plus is you can get some Christmas shopping done before hand. Don't miss a short walk to the Long Beach Terrace Theater to see the beautiful Christmas lights at night!

Location, location, location!

Staff were very helpful and quick to respond to any request. For example my group wanted to use the patio area but the fires were not lit. We asked front desk staff to light the fires, so they called an "engineer" to do it. From the time we asked to the time the fire was lit was probably less than 30 seconds, impressive.

Great Customer Service

I was very pleased with my stay here. I checked in late (after 10pm) and they were very accommodating to me and my young kids. Staff is very friendly. Location is awesome, so close to shopping, food & entertainment. I would definitely come here again!

Excellent Staff & Location

I have stayed at several hotels and brands in Long Beach, this by far is my favorite. The location is great, right by downtown and the Pike. It has that wonderful boutique hotel feel, not too large and not too small. Your close to all the action of downtown LBC but not you don't hear all the noise and traffic. 

The bathrooms are large and ample which I love. Bedding is super comfy. The staff always welcomes me when I visit and recognizes my loyalty. I wouls recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in downtown LBC.

Love this hotel

One of the reasons I choose to stay at the Hyatt Centric is the location....  Location, location, location. Conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, walking distance to almost everything. View side (Ocean - Farris Wheel) is amazing. I have stayed at this hotel every weekend since September (daughter started school & band, cheerleading, color guard competition's began)!!!  I wont stay anywhere else.

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach - Home away from home!

Fantastic Weekend retreat, walk the boat harbor, lots of dining options, aquarium is nearby.  We have been there many times before and we keep going back.  The Centric by Hyatt is the best hotel to enjoy Socal in all of Southern CA.  The staff is friendly and professional and well trained.  The location has a lot to do such as walk the boat harbor, select from dozens of dining choices.  Consider a visit to the Long Beach Aquarium which is always fun.  We will plan to go back here again and again.  Consider parking your car, and walking to all the sights in the area.  Queen Mary is right across the Harbor.  Also note there is a Long Beach Shuttle service to ride around in.  Smooth, nice, fun time.

This is the hotel you want to stay in. The views are beautiful morning & night. It’s centrally located so you can walk to some great restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel is great too. I enjoyed my stay. It was a comfortable and safe place to stay! I’ll be back. 

Long Beach

Wonderful staff. The entire hotel is beautiful:  Clean, new and great location to EVERYTHING.
From here you can walk to many restaurants, shopping and the Aquarium of the Pacific.
We used the Catalina Express port to travel to the island.  Great area!!!

Great Place and Views

We've had our business meetings here twice and each time we've had it here, I've enjoyed my stay. I love the comfortable bed and the decor of the place. Also, not to mention, we're completely surrounded by all the different shops and restaurants. When I realized that I had under-packed, I was able to quickly walk over to one of the stores and bought a nice sweater to wear.

Wonderful setup, comfortable bed, great atmosphere

I would not stay at this hotel and told my friends and family about the degrading and difficult checkin process I received. My insurance company was spending $3000+ for my stay due to my apartment getting flooded. I had them cancel my stay and use that money at Staybridge where my checkin was seamless and the customer service was phenomenal. Andre and McKenna treat your black customers better!

Customer Service was Terrible

The staff at the hotel were very helpful.  Clean room and professional service. Easy to walk and get around to waterfront, restaurants, etc. I would recommend the Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach to anyone!

Very satisfied

Incredible Staff!! The Bartender is a magician. The Space is amazing. Loved my stay! 10 Star Service!!! Also... have your events here!!! And don't get me to talking about the decor!! Super cute nautical theme throughout the hotel! 

10 Star Service!!!!

Wanted to get away. It was close to everything. We went for a quick scooter ride and then hit a couple bars. They are all within walking distance or a quick 5 min uber ride. My friends and I caught an uber there but walked back after the night was over. The only downside is parking is not included. The garage is ran separate so you have to pay every time you leave and come back. $16 a day

Great weekend stay spot for my first time in Long Beach

Comfortable and clean stay. The hotel was not too big. There was no spa services offered. Very friendly staff. Could offer better rewards as well as more dining options. Great hotel and location, but the price was not worth it in the end.

Business trip for the Conference Center near The Hyatt Centric Pike

This was a very nice property with a lot of shopping near by the hotel. The rooftop pool was relaxing to sit at and enjoy my coffee in the morning while looking out at the cruise ships. Definitely recommend if needing to be in the area to visit or heading out on a cruise. Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

We just needed a night after our cruise before heading back home.  We absolutely loved the Hyatt Centric.  Rooms were spacious, hotel was in a great location.  Walk to outlet shopping and close to beachfront activities!  Staff was wonderful!  Greeted with smiles and very helpful!  Enjoyed the pool on the 8th floor!  Perfect for a little wind down time.  Enjoyed the lounge/bar, everyone was so nice and pleasant!  Thanks again!

This is our second time staying here when we cruise from Long Beach. Hotel is very clean with friendly staff from the minute you check in, including housekeeping staff when you are entering and exiting your room.  Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. Hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants that are along the water & just a short drive to cruise port.  We always recommend this hotel to friends and family when they are headed that way. 

Great Place & Location

Staff was great and the shower was amazing!  Also, really like the motion activated lights on the beds, they were very helpful when my kids got up in the middle of the night.  The room was very comfortable and we wish we had more time to spend there.  We would definitely go back!

Better Than Expected!

Would definitely stay at The Hyatt Centric the Pike again.Greeted by staff soon as you walk in, Keycard needed to access elevator, room very clean and spacious, parking is available via parking structure or even street parking, $16.00/for 24hours. Walking distance from the movie theater, various shops, food trucks and many restaurants. 

Staycation

Better than expected. Very clean. Will be returning for my next staycation. Drinks made at the top bar/pool area were perfect. Rooms are quiet. Loved the added details in the room. (Bluetooth speaker clock, ship photos, lighting)

Wonderful getaway.  Staff was great. Room was great. Food was wonderful.  Such a perfect location. A lot to do in Longbeach.  I would highly recommend going to this property.  Rooftop pool was small but fun.

The room we stayed in, room 505, needs a refreshing. The sofa was low and sunken in. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room appears larger in the photographs so be mindful of the square footage. I would opt for the one bedroom suite. 

I expected more.

Great staff, especially Lito, clean knowledgeable, friendly. Perfect location, surrounded by the pike outlets and dozens of restaurants for all occasions. Pine street one block away for great nightlife. 

I was recently in Long Beach for a professional conference and stayed at the Hyatt Centric.  The rooms were comfortable and well appointed; house-keeping made sure the room was pleasant and clean; and the hotel is well located, next to a number of Long Beach attractions.  (For birdwatchers, the Golden Shoreline Marine Reserve is a must.)  

But the best part of my hotel stay was the interaction with staff.  To a person, they were helpful, friendly, and accommodating, answering all of my questions about hotel amenities, local attractions, etc.  

I'd particularly like to mention Lorraine, Andre, and Martin, hotel staff members, and their supervisor, Leesha (sp?).  Lorraine checked me in and explained hotel amenities patiently; Andre and Martin answered a number of my questions about local sites (including the Golden Shoreline Marine Reserve, the harbor breakwater and lighthouse, etc.).  The culture of hospitality and friendliness reflects well on hotel management and leadership, so props to Leesha.  Though I remember these folks in particular, the entire staff was fantastic.  

I hope the Hyatt Centric treats these folks well (give them a raise!). They're the lifeblood of the enterprise and they clearly have the skill set and personality (lots of people skills) to be in public-facing positions.

At Hyatt Centric, the People Make the Place

We requested an early check-in and was graciously accommodated. We noticed that the staff were not masked though which is contrary to the hotel's courtesy flyer.
The room was clean and excellent. Linens were fresh, shower head wad wonderful.

Loved the hotel

The property itself is great, it has all the imenities you need. Close to food and shopping. The beds are comfortable. My only issue is the hotel does not own the parking structure. On weekends it is a challenge to park due to higher crowds.

Overnight stay with a late check in.
Got a couple of bottles of water on arrival,  room very clean and comfortable,  bathroom spacious.   Great location for a good breakfast before heading out the next morning. Would recommend!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and close to everything! Right next to Nike and across the street from the Pier. Not too much noise and nice work station within the room. I have no complaints about my stay.

Just the right locaton

Being able to stay in a clean, accommodating, resourceful hotel is one of life’s greatest delights! We enjoyed our stay so much that we had to book for another night! Our rooms got upgraded due to a minor inconvenience and we were handled with such care. I loved our stay, I’ll definitely be back again!

Priced Right. Easy access to all my enjoyments. Well worth the expense! Will visit again!  Room size was better than expected and Rooms were clean! Morning coffee and tea were good!

Great Experience in Motel

Great and helpful staff.  Clean hotel.  Great location.  We were at the 5th floor and the room was very quiet. Ample areas in the hotel to hangout and enjoy a glass of wine if you want to skip the busy bar scene in Long Beach.  

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach

We stayed at the Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach as we needed to be on the early ferry to Catalina over the weekend for my 14 year old to go diving.  It is just a short walk to the terminal, so very convenient, which was a huge plus.  The room was very nice, though unfortunately my son tried to use the sofabed which was unusable as the mattress was so thin and lumpy.  Luckily we had the room next door as well so took the mattress from that sofabed and doubled up.  The reception staff and security staff were responsive and helpful; they assisted us in finding parking, and in quickly addressing the group gathering in a room across our hallway who were smoking MJ all evening which was seeping under our door and knocking out my 14 year old.  We tried using the rooftop pool (which has fabulous views) but unfortunately a group of very loud women had reserved the private cabana and seemed to believe this also gave them exclusive use of the pool.  Their constant shouting out to each other and dominating the entire space made it impossible for any other guests to enjoy.  Not the hotel's fault - though the staff could have intervened, I suppose.  For what we needed, the hotel was great and we would recommend as long as you don't need the sofabed or the pool.

Rooms are large and comfortable (and the t.v. is out of control) and location is perfect for visiting the aquarium or the convention center.

Parking is in the adjoining (public) lot so there's no in and out, but everything we wanted to was in walking distance so we didn't need our car at all.

Stayed at the Hyatt Centric by recommendation and im happy I chose this hotel. Staff is very friendly, pool area is great and rooms are clean with very comfortable bed and pillows. The location is also a plus. The only downside is there’s only one small coffee shop/bar with not too many food choices however their coffee is the best i’ve had in a long time.

Excellent

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Aquarium of the Pacific.  There are lots of restaurant around.  We arrived during a biking event, and some of the roads were closed, so it was a bit confusing to get to the hotel, as streets were blocked.  Some of the parking garage  entrances were also blocked and we were not sure where to park. But we figured it out.  The staff was friendly.

Staff, room cleanliness, location (walking distance from The Village, shopping and dining etc.) and oh yes the rooftop pool made for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Long Beach.
