we stay here for two nights, the location is very strategic and near at the blue line metro from the airport, we just only walk about 5 minutes. And also near to many bus station. Quite near to the river cruise and navy pear, if u have a time u can walk easily. Among the others at the same location, the price is very affordable. We also like the services of the staffs, fast and helpful. Unfortunately we don’t have a time to go to the Rooftop 😅

Strategic and Helpfull

Everything was wonderful. We had a great experience and would definitely come back. Location was perfect for all our needs and the hotel service and staff was great. Thank you for an amazing stay. See you soon.

Great stay

It was a nice hotel not close to major attraction . The cost of parking in the city its outrageous, Recommend not to drive there. parking cost just as much as the rooms . food was very good . sights where wonderful.

my trip

Very big room with a nice view of the city, comfortable beds and a lovely big bathroom. Everything was clean, they replaced our towels everyday. Free water, tea and coffee. Also, such a good location. To top it off, a great rooftop bar with tasty cocktails and food, a fun DJ and a great view. Would defo stay there again.

The perfect stay!

Very conveniently located in this area of Downtown Chicago. Everything that we planned to do and see was within our walking distance capabilities. Very clean hotel and room. A little tight for 4 people in our specific room with 2 queen beds. Very impressed by the fitness room that has a decent amount of equipment, water, and towels available. Thank you

Very Nice Place

The Hyatt Centric is in a great location, near restaurants, entertainment, and close to Millennium Park. The hotel and rooms were clean rooms. The front desk staff were very accommodating and check in was easy.

August 2023 Stay at Hyatt Centric

The overall stay was amazing, staff was incredible and location was great. The valet was courteous and prompt. Also the staff was accommodating and helpful when we came in 3 hours before check in and let us check in earlier. Definitely would stay here again.

Excellence

The hotel is really nice, is a great option if you want to know all around the downtown and also is too close to a subway station, so you can arrive directly from the O´hare airport and walk just 1 block if you want to save money on transportation. 

A great place to stay near the downtown

Perfect location and excellent hotel - good facilities and very clean. Would highly recommend for a short or long trip. Good food choices around and within the hotel. Excellent transport links and if you like walking - a great location to get lost places within 15-30 minutes. 

Excellent Hotel and Location

I went to several websites that offered the over hundred dollars for each night stay and went to Hyatt's website they offered the best prices to enjoy a 6 night stay for Lala. Their rooftop bar serves for great for pictures.

The Great Stay!!

We were celebrating our weekend in downtown Chicago with dinner, a concert and a visit to the Art Institute to see the Van Gogh exhibit.  The location worked perfectly for us, and we were extremely pleased with the quality of our room and the professionalism and efficiency of the staff.  Our stay here enhanced our weekend celebration.

Great place to stay in the Loop

Our room was beautiful, clean, modern and spacious; all at a very reasonable price. The location is in the heart of the city, just a short walking distance from Lake Michigan, Chicago's Magnificent Mile of shopping and the metro.

5-star Stay at 3-star Cost

The only reason this hotel doesn't get 'Excellent' ratings for all reasons is that the windows could have been better soundproofed. There were quite a few sirens heard throughout the day. Otherwise...stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Great stay for long weekend trip

This is a good stay for location to the L and the beds were comfortable. The room has seen better days and better functionality- the toilet, hot water, and curtains were top issues in our room. Be advised that access to a microwave(they are not in the room) is closed after 6pm. We needed one for medical purposes and would not have booked here had we known that.  The rooftop bar was nice and hotel staff were kind but overall didn’t find this hotel to be a category 4 or worth 15,000 points compared to others in the Hyatt portfolio.  

Location

Very nice hotel! Spacious bathroom and comfortable beds. Just keep in mind there is only valet parking. Do your research on finding parking garage near area before booking. No street parking available.

Nice hotel!

Nice roof top bar with views and bar snacks.. Walking distance to many sights and restaurants.
No free breakfast like the competition hotels. But dose have an attached restaurant.  Comfortable beds great views.

Clean and comfortable downtown hotel

The hotel is very well located, close to the transportation system. The subway station to the airport is around the corner that it’s a plus.

Very clean, accessible, very kind and polite staff. Easy to check in and check out.

Excellent place to stay

If Hotel would have provided with staff to carry baggage to room & back it would have been very helpful. Because at times when you have many baggage's it becomes difficult to carry on your own that to without trolley. Other wise no complaint about property & staff everything 10/10

Proper 4 Star Property

The location was perfect and the price was very good.  The loop is the perfect place to stay while in Chicago.  The hotel was very clean, staff was pleasant.  Aire rooftop bar offered a great view.  My only complaint was the lack of closet space.  We could only hang 7 items.

Location and Value

Terrific value with the suite. We were able to put our toddlers in their pack in play in the separate room and enjoy privacy in the bedroom. Bathroom had bathtub shower separate making  bedtime easy as well!  Terrific Chicago value!  Extra towels delivered promptly. 

Business Family Trip with Value

Hotel was very clean with courteous and professional staff. Front desk staff provided recommendations as related to site seeing and directions. The 3rd floor "corner" is an ideal space to either work and have a coffee or fruit. Roof top bar is an excellent area to unwind and enjoy a beverage with friends.

Exceptional facility and great staff

This property is in a great location and service and amenities were excellent.  The restaurant food was very good.  Unlike other properties in large cities, no hidden resort fees.  Internet, gym and coffee are in fact free.  The rooftop bar is a hidden gem and great location for a drink after a long day of work, 

Great Stay

This place has it all. Nice rooms, convenient location, and excellent service and hospitality. Very comfortable beds. Great front desk staff. Only downside is that the restaurant isn't great, but it is OK in a pinch. 

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great People

Very nice hotel located in the center of the Loop. Great room with nice rooftop bar. The best thing is that it is located very near the blue line - direct to O'Hare airport!

Great Location

Overall excellent. The staffs were always happy and ready to solve problems brought to their attention . It was an excellent experience. I am looking forward 
to my next travel plans to the area with family.

This place is a place to go back to anytime I am visiting Chicago

Centrally located in the south loop.  Easy access to the bean and art institute.  A short ride to the convention center.  Nice but small gym.   Peleton in gym was nice!  Food hall urban space nearby had many good fast casual options.  Most fine dining for work was a cab ride away.

Conference weekend

No hot water in the shower spoiled the experience. The room was basic but clean and in good repair other than some holes in the bedspread. The free automated coffee room was nice. Staff were friendly, but when I told them my shower had been cold their response was to say "oh yes, I've heard there was something going on with that," rather than recognizing this as their problem. It sent a strong message that my experience was not of interest to the hotel, only collecting my money. Definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised.

Nice property but not 4-star service

I stayed at the Hyatt Centric for business and wow, it was not a great experience. The carpets were stained and it was clear they could've used furniture upgrades. The housekeeping service disregarded my "do not disturb" sign on my door handle and entered my room anyway, against my wishes. The conjoined restaurant, Bandol, had the most dismissive staff in Chicago. Wouldn't stay here again.

Bleak

Nice hotel in the city/business center of Chicago. Hotel staff was very friendly.  And also pretty new/modern room with a nice feel to it - much better than most Hilton's I stay in...  I would surely stay there again...        

Nice hotel in city center

This hotel was excellent.. wonderful staff, clean rooms, great amenities and more. I enjoyed my stay in Chicago thanks to the staff at the Hyatt Centric The Loop Chicago. I would definitely plan to stay at this hotel again.

Clean and Welcoming

This location was very close to multiple restaurants and a short distance to Michigan Ave., the front desk, staff and housekeeping were especially helpful. The corner had coffee every day and tea along with apples and oranges. I would’ve been nice to have some thing other than the fruit maybe muffins or some thing similar 

centrally located, and a good value

Everything you can think of about a hotel was just excellent!! Staff, room, lounge, restaurant, parking were beyond expectations. Really nice room format, very clean and rooms smell amazing! Would stay again. 

Excellent!

The Hyatt Centric The Loop Chicago has an amazing staff. They are very kind and welcoming and were very willing to help out when needed. The location was fairly close to main attractions. The hotel does not include parking, so if you're like me and miss that bit of info when booking, be aware that valet is close to $100 a night and the closest parking garage is a few blocks away-which can be inconvenient when coming/going and carrying your luggage to and from the hotel. The hotel accommodated our requests by placing us in a quiet room at the end of the hall. However, the room was not the cleanest. The bedding had many stains and rips, there were many marks on the walls and bathroom glass area, and the shower was not the cleanest/best maintained. We also found a random screw on the floor of the hotel, which could have potentially been a safety hazard for our toddler. This hotel would definitely not be our first pick for further travel. 

Great staff, ok location, poor cleanliness

Everything was good! I think it was a good deal for the 2 queen bed room. Only thing missing was a microwave jajaja besides that no toilet paper in bathroom which was weird as hell but overall a good hotel and experience. 

Stayed here for a concert

The hotel was great in every aspect. The staff were attentive and helpful. The on property restaurant was an amazing experience. The property was very clean. Lastly, the hotel was within walking distance of lots of attractions!!

Best hotel for my weekend stay

Visited with teens. Great location. Short walk to Millennium Park and the Art Institute (our primary location for visit). Very close to train and many self park locations. Breakfast at the hotel (not included) was very good. 

Great location

Though it was a short stay, the staff were very accommodating and courteous! They were also helpful to a few extra needs that was needed for this trip! The room was amazing, especially the bathroom. Loved that deep tub! Even had the chance to experience it! Room was very clean! Hotel withing walking distance of downtown Chicago, really appreciated that!

Amazing!

Being a member pays off! We were planning on only checking in our bags when we arrived in the morning but because I was a member, I was able to check in early at no cost – Go Hyatt! The hotel is centrally located, not too far from Michigan Avenue so we mostly walked everywhere. Getting in and out was super easy. Plus, there's a McDonalds around the corner if you're looking for a late-night quick meal. The room was great, super clean and tidy. The bed was kind of low but super comfortable. 

Would definitely recommend! 

Centrally located

The hotel was in a good location and it was pretty quiet and the staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean and I really enjoyed the corner on the 3 rd floor where u could get coffee and watch tv and get a snack 

Michaels review

Hotel room had somehow decided that 'ultra modern' meant no bathroom door. There was a shower door and a little door for the toilet that was glass and had large gaps. It was very unpleasant to use. I would not recommend this if you were traveling with someone else at all. If you are traveling alone, it might be OK. I asked some friends staying in the same hotel room, and they said their room had a bathroom door. I don't know what prompted the hotel to completely remove the bathroom door in the room we stayed in, but beware of this. It was really unpleasant. 

No Bathroom Door in Hotel Room

This is a beautiful property, well kept and restored. Excellent front desk staff especially Josh. I had an early arrival and they accommodated me as soon as possible. I loved my room, even had a bonus room which I used as a place to set up my suitcase and stuff that I didn’t want on display in the main room. Separate large bathroom. Very large nice well decorated space and plenty of room to relax. Very clean and well maintained and tons of electrical outlets. 

Great Property

This is a really nice place to stay if you are in The Loop area. The hotel is extremely clean. The front staff is efficient, helpful, and friendly. The adjoining French restaurant-- The Bandol-- has excellent food and service. Highly recommend this hotel

Great Place

I'm a regular visitor to Chicago and this will be my go to site moving forward. Room was fantastic, spacious, and very clean. Great location for restaurants, shopping, museums, and nightlife! Way to go Hyatt, real gem!

Perfect location and very affordable

A Hotel in a centric place close to subway and train in the Loop. The situation is also perfect to make some shopping, but my instance was for business purposes so I believe another time I 'll have more time for shopping. But location is great!! to visit the city and eat in some of the dirrent places n Chicago, Pizza burger, etc.

Centric Hotel

Staff was amazing helpful and high energy including the Restaurant and bar experience and manager was great! Thank you to the staff and appreciate the opportunity to provide this review on such a great experience overall.

Hotel Stay

The shower head was broken, the bathtub didn’t drain, the bed was visibly crumbling as if the fake leatherish fabric was falling off so I’d find pieces of it in my hair..parking is 75 bucks a night which at least has in and out privileges but overall i felt ripped off staying there..the people working there are nice but the conditions of the property aren’t it..and to not have warm or hot water in -1 degree weather is insane. 

Not worth it

The last Hyatt I was at (Hyde park) was amazing rooms clean and had complimentary breakfast. If you want that please go to that one instead of the Loop. Room was eh, walls stained like crazy, bathroom mat wasn’t clean with so much hair in it, headboard was torn up and my pillow cases were filthy/ wasn’t changed. I love Jaylen (front desk) but the rest were kinda rude. 

Only stay if you’re there for business

Room was not up to expectations as far as cleanliness goes.  Some garbage was left over. The elevators were kind of scary to ride as well. The gym equipment was rusty as well. Just expected a little bit better.

Hyatt Centric

They had an amazing staff but the room was not as expected. The TV did not work and the amazing staff was able to relocate us. The pillows were basically flat and the bathroom had basically no door. Would not recommend.

Great staff, terrible rooms.

Location is great, close to all the downtown attractions and easy access to metro, train, etc.
Rooms are big, minimalistic modern, but beds and pillows need improving. Staff friendly and everything is well kept and clean. Restaurant on site excellent, prices accordingly.

Location, location!

It was a good experience. Big bedroom, comfortable bed. I love the shower with hot water. Awesome coffee room…everything was good. I’m just  giving a 4 because when we got inside the room, we found the toilet was dirty. Aparently, someone used it and didn’t flush it. Sadly, no one saw it before I get there.

Christmas Vacay

Wonderful place.  Perfectly located in downtown Chicago with all the amenities near by.  Well appointed rooms that are clean and pristine, comfortable beds and amazing pillows.  Staff are very friendly and there are helpful supportive services like valet parking, an onsite restaurant and good staff. 

Worth the Stay

Nice hotel.  Upscale appearance  Service lacking, could use more instructions regarding turn over of room, location of items and room service (for menu and service). You have to go down and pick up food & drink. Location ideal. Basic and deal room lacking, so upgrade if you can.

Disappointment

Very nice room and bathroom had a soaking tub and gorgeous shower plus separate toilet room. Beds were a 10. Complimentary coffee and tea and fruit on the 3rd floor and very clean stairwells. Elevators were super fast and personnel were friendly.

Central to everything

The room was big and it was super clean. The room amenities were very nice too. The staff was super helpful and super friendly too. The hotel was in overall excellent condition. I would definitely stay here on my next trip.

Very Nice and clean

Good location in the loop, near the train. Nice to be near the christkindlemarket in winter. Good conference room on the 2nd floor. Good mini lounge on the 3rd floor when waiting for your room or taking calls. 

Not the worst

I usually stay at a different brand of hotels—decided to give Hyatt a go.  Location is great.  Cleanliness was very good. Hotel was super busy. On their website I had Pre-requested an extra blanket and pillow in my room. Request not met—I did Not request again at the hotel.  I was On the 16th floor and could hear everything outside.  Also walls are thin and could hear neighbors—throwing up after drinking, their alarm clock, their phone conversations.  Shower—only had 1 really good hot shower.  The others the water was Luke warm.  
Overall hotel is fine—just no luxury to it.

It was fine

As soon as we entered the room it smelled musty, the towels had a dirt stain on them when I rolled them out. They only have valet parking and it’s $80.00 per day. Not said on the website. Only 1 ice machine in the 4th fl

Would stay again

Originally i was intending to stay at the regency nect to the convention center i was informed that they were fully booked and given this hotel as a secondary option it was stated to be a 4 minute walk from the regency. (it was a 40 minute drive) Upon arrival at 4am i asked when check in was and i was told 11 unless i paid an early fee so i respectfully waited until 11am for my room upstairs. after waiting until 11 i asked if we could get our room i was told it wasn't ready yet and that i needed to wait a while longer and that they would call my phone when it was ready. 12:30pm came around and i still hadn't been contacted, this was after a member of the staff informed me very rudely that im not allowed to sleep in their waiting room. (mind you i had been driving for 12 hours overnight before this and staff knew about it) then finally at 1pm i checked at the desk again and they told me my card wasn't working even though i had a charge on my account for both the room and valet after another hour of waiting they finally let us go up to our room after arguing with them for an hour over them trying to charge me twice. i was very respectful of staff during this whole encounter and i was very upset with the service i received i hope to not run into this experience again at a hyatt. (honorable mention to the hyatt place and hyatt regency and their incredible service

Hotel tried to double charge me and made me wait till 2pm for my room

Arrived several hours before 3 and was able to check in instead of storing my luggage. Room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. Didn’t try the restaurant, but it looked fine. This location is absolutely perfect for any visitor spending time in the Loop. 

Great hotel, perfect Loop location

The head board was damaged, the room felt musty like unlived for a long time, the room felt dusty, at first glance the room seems clean but on closer inspection, the head board was like a headboard from a cheap motel it was damaged the place seems dusty the phone was not even charged and was not working when i first tried to used itS the elevator was dark and dirty not all like waht you would expect in a hyatt hotel

The room feels like it was not occupied for a long time

Look at your vehicle when you pick it up! The Valet hit what I assume is a yellow pillar and ruined my rim, tire and scratched my truck! Do NOT eat at the restaurant on site as they were unable to get one order correct. So disappointed...Some of the rooms were by exhaust or heater units outside and when they kicked on it was like a train going thru their rooms

Do Not Stay Here

The hotel is nice and clean. The towels could be a little more fluffier and the bed is too close to the floor. It's hard to get up if you have bad knees. They should have some standard height beds available for senior citizens.

Good Stay

Need some upgrades and more training of the staff on how to assign rooms. I believe I was booked into a room that was out of service. I overheard the desk clerks discussing that I was assigned a room with a red bar next to it. At first, he told me that the hotel was full and I could not get another room.                                       

Poor Quality

Loved my stay here. The room was clean, comfortable and updated, staff were so helpful. Walking  distance to all your favorite restaurants and Christmas attractions. My only wish was that breakfast was included and that there was a way to get fresh air in the room (no fan in the bathroom, window didn’t open, no air intake vent). Otherwise, easy check in and a quiet nights sleep. 

Affordable, comfortable, great location

Accidentally booked this one instead of West Loop and could not get out of my “non refundable” reservation.   I called and explained that I wanted to go to a different Hyatt, and they wouldn’t even help.  Queen beds were not comfortable for being on the “Queen deluxe” floor.   Location is nice. Don’t eat at the restaurant connected.  Screwed up half of our breakfast. 

Better Hyatt’s around here

We were visiting on a lark and brought our medium-sized dog. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and we were delighted with our room upgrade. The site is well-situated in the loop, with just a short few blocks to the El, Red Line and Michigan Ave. We chose valet parking for the in-out but self-park options were plentiful. 

Rooms were well maintained and quiet. Would definitely come back for a weekend visit 

Spontaneous visit to the loop

Won’t ever go back. The rooms( 2 rooms, back to back nights) were so-so. Bathroom floors were extremely slippery during/after shower. The usb phone chargers did not work in either room. The overnight staff was rude and amazingly unattractive. Definitely not worth the excessive cost

Keep looking..

It was a great stay here just wasn’t a fan of the bed and pillows. Other wise it was a great stay and we loved the hotel. There was only one day where we had an issue about the elevators other wise it was great. 

Good visit

The staff was friendly and accommodating. My first room wasn’t clean so I was given a different room. The pillows were super flat and the mattress was low to the floor and soft. I was happy to check out, sleeping there was awful. I would have thought more of a Hyatt hotel experience. 

Good location, the room was mediocre.

This is a very modern hotel in a great location. It is very close to many great restaurants and the train.
The hotel restaurant was outstanding. We had breakfast there and both the food and the service were excellent. We were in town visiting our daughter at college. We'll be back!

Great Hotel in a Perfect Location

Room was good.  Bed was comfortable.  Restaurant had problems 2 of 3 days and actually took an hour one morning so i ended up being late.  Noisy activity with a club nearby and lots of street noise in the room so hard to get rest.

OK place to stay

Hubby and I stayed here during our trip and we are very pleased and happy with the stuff and everything in the hotel. Stuff is very friendly and promptly to help. We arrived early and were able to do an early check in, our room was available.

Honey moon vacation!

Front desk staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, anticipating our needs. Hotel is nice, super clean, staff people , room maids , everybody were really nice, professional and friendly! The room is big and the location is perfect!

Nice hotel, charming, well located, excellent service!

Our bathroom had mold in the walk in shower and the wall.  The bathroom didn't have a exhaust fan. The hotel fix issue by putting black sealant caulk over the mold. The wall still had mold on the walls.  We developed upper respiratory issues.

The hotel best asset is the location in the loop, walking distance to several restaurants and Millenium Park. Building is dated and need some uplifting. Housekeeping was a bit lacking. Overall a very average hotel especially given the current nightly rate. 

Hyatt Centric the loop

City location that cannot be beaten. There’s a McDonalds opposite (If that’s your thing) and other eating establishments within easy walking distance.  Perfect.
It’s really easy to get to the L-trains; which are super reliable..

Central and essential

The room was in terrible condition, the headboard were ripped, the only window was small & wasn’t cleaned. I cannot recommend staying at this hotel. I didn’t feel comfortable walking without shoes in the room. The first shower was cold. 

Horrible condition

Wonderful front desk staff. We were in Chicago for a wedding, and the location, though in a mostly commercial area, was very good for walking around and setting the city. The room was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay there again.

Would stay there again

My friends and I stayed here for the convenience of being near Union Station and the venue we were going to as well as the quality. It was very lovely and I'll definitely be staying here again. Thank you to the staff.

Can't recommend it more!

The hotel was really nice, clean, and the staff courteous. The rooms are very trendy.  The property is in a great location close to the Navy Pier and Riverwalk. Our only issue was the outside noise, even on the 7th floor.

go to another hotel - Staff not helpful, room was not clean  they even cleaned the next day and did not clean the chips on the floor from the time we checked in, nor the personal hair in the refrigerator

Excellent location.  Breakfast cafe was nice and roof top bar was very good although closed due to private functions for 2 of the 3 nights we tried to use it, which was disappointing. A/C was noisy in my room.

Great location and good value.

The location is great, the hotel is very clean and well maintained.  Finally the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.  I left my iPad behind in my room when i checked out.  I called the front desk from outside the hotel, and the young man at the front desk said he would have their housekeeping staff locate it and pick it up and he would have it at the front desk.  When I came back to the hotel around noon, to pick my car and luggage up, I was handed my iPad back with a smile!!   Awesome staff at the hotel!!

Outstanding Stay, Friendly Staff

This was our first time at a Hyatt Centric and we were very pleased with the experience. Friendly, efficient staff, clean room and property. Comfortable and convenient to our weekend plans. Valet parking is available but cost is extra. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Another Fine Hyatt Experience

Super clean and room was gorgeous. Centrally located and near the main part of town. Short staffed but still went beyond to help us during our stay. I would definitely come and stay here again. Great place!

Great place close to everywhere

Great value for hotel. Staff was super professional. They take care of their Hyatt members with upgrades. The rooftop bar is very nice and gets packed. Great location if you are doing work in downtown. 

Excellent Stay

The room was very clean, bed very comfortable, the staff very helpful.  However, the food was awful in the Brew HA HA Cafe and when we visited Aire Rooftop -we waited 38 for our drinks from placing the order.  Hotel was great Cafe and Roof Bar AWFUL

Business Trip

The Hyatt Centric is a great hotel for business and leisure travel. The location is convenient to the public transportation. The rooms and bathrooms are well done with plenty of space for work. The staff is fantastic. The rooftop bar has a great view of the city. 

Great location and staff.

My immediate impression to the hotel was disappointment. I feel like the hotel is portrayed better online than what it actually is in person. The room was very small and the tv was small with very few channels. The headboard was peeling and falling apart. The floor of the bathroom wasn’t clean and there was a toenail clipping on the floor. Very tiny closet. I guess I was disappointed because for the price we paid, I’ve stayed at way better hotels in Chicago. 

The positives were the staff. They were all very friendly and accommodating. The shower in the room was also very nice.

Just okay.

While the staff is very courteous and helpful in attending to your needs, the hotel overall was poor. 
 There is no longer room service.  The room cleanliness did not seem to meet Hyatt standards; the countertops / table / window sill was dusty.  The bathroom had handprints on the glass doors and there was a lack in toiletries supplied; hand soap and toilet paper.  The towels were old and thin, no fluff to them.  Hyatt used to offer terry robes, but not this time.  The pillows were flat and squishy so they did not support your head/ neck well.  The bed felt like soft foam; no posture support.  As I mentioned, the Staff though is excellent with positive and cheerful communication.

Poor quality for a Hyatt hotel

This hotel needs to step up to the game. There are better hotels around with almost the same price per night. The rooftop can be messy and understaffed but great views though. Location is prime. Staff is nice and responsive but they didn't provided housekeeping during my stay but just 1 day. Needs to do a better job cleaning your rooms and keeping them up to date. 

Not bad but there's better options

This was the first time we’ve ever been disappointed in a Hyatt.
Pros:
Location is amazing. This is what you’re paying for. Everything is within walking distance, which was great!
Cons:
1. We booked via third party. One amenity we selected was that breakfast was included- it was a must for us (we’re breakfast loving kind of people!). After booking, we called the hotel directly to confirm that breakfast was included and was told it was. However, our first morning there, we find out there is coffee & a bowl of apples & oranges. That’s it.
2. Employees are rude. We went to the rooftop bar and wanted to look at the views & enjoy a drink. It was mid-afternoon and there were maybe 6-8 other people up there. No one was even near us and we were standing at the glass safety barrier looking out and was told that area was reserved for groups of four or more. We weren’t sitting and there was no one around. We left and went elsewhere.
3. They offered us $20 off valet parking per night, which was great. When we checked out, the woman at the desk said we got the discounted rate but when we checked our bill, it showed the full amount. And no one has answered us yet about it.
3. Bathrooms are awkward. Rooms are small.
Overall, you’re paying for location but being as it is, Chicago has no shortage of hotels. Will be staying elsewhere next time.

First time a Hyatt has been disappointing

Loved this hotel, in a very good area, just a few blocks down the street from the magic bean! Lots of delicious places to eat and see nearby. Rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. Will be back!

Great Stay!

There was limited offerings for breakfast that were very expensive and so stale as to be inedible. The room was not serviced, had to request clean towels and the trash to be emptied. The roof top bar is small.

Poor choice for a Hyatt

Overall nice hotel, great staff.  The bed though is a thin mattress on hardwood which doesn't cut it at all.  Also no real workspace option in the room (I had the one with a king bed)   Lack of USB connections for chargers was also disappointing.   The rooftop bar was fantastic and the location is wonderful.

Great.....but the beds

The room was well used and there were stains in my room on my floor.  It was nasty. Hopefully the carpet will be deep cleaned and the stains removed. Also, there were black scratches on the wall. Other than those items the room was good.

Not clean

We have stayed at both the Hyatt Place and Hyatt Centric in the loop area. The Centric was very nice. I believe it may be newer and on this particular weekend it was less expensive than the Hyatt Place. We will definitely stay here again while in the area. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall a good experience.
