    "Great stay!"

I was already excited about the stay but actually being there exceeded my expectations. Not only was the room spacious (King Deluxe), clean and quiet, the surrounding area is perfect for anyone not familiar with the DC area. Lots of food options, a nearby walking trail right along the water and within 15 minutes of all the major areas (museums, The Wharf, etc.). I would definitely stay again.

    "Fantastic hospitality team"

The team at Thompson Washington DC really make the difference. The hotel is beautiful, in a great location, etc. but the warm and fantastic team take this hotel experience from good to great. Also, the food-both at Anchovy Social and Maialino Mare. Two of the best food experiences I had during my trip. Rooms are lovely and bed is terrific. Will definitely be back!!!

    "Great service, location and feel"

The employees were lovely and helpful. The art and overall design was modern and interesting, but not unwelcoming. The rooms were clean, perhaps a smidge small, but the bathrooms were spacious and I appreciated the under sink nightlight scenario. BYO soaps if you don’t like heavy scents. Don’t miss the morning pastries and be sure to check out the roof deck even though it isn’t open all the time, which is a shame. Great location for the waterfront attractions, baseball, and soccer stadiums. Close to metro and plenty of interesting restaurants.

"Excellent Experience at the Thomspon Washington DC"

We had a mini-suite which proved to be a good choice as we had several family members who came to our room to gather before and after the wedding. It also gave us some additional room to store items for the bride and groom. The staff was excellent and the Thompson was clean, well managed and is situated in a great spot next to Nat's stadium. There is an assortment of restaurants that service the stadium crowds and provide some very good food and drink.

"Great place to stay near Nationals Park"

We came here on a recommendation and were very pleasantly surprised. I will agree with other reviewers that there are some "extra" charges which are basically taxes and DC travel fees, which made the price higher, but we were expecting it. We did not park the car. The area is up and coming and a great place if you want to hit the Nationals park. There are some good restaurants nearby, but if you want a "sit down American breakfast", you will have to travel a little bit out of the area.

    "Washington DC trip"

More variety at breakfast. We were disappointed no fruits or hard boiled eggs were available, just muffins and coffee. Also was abit surprised no coffee maker in room and we had to order room service for ice. Joseph was great responding to our requests, but delivery to room was slow and had to be escalated by Joseph to finally get us ice delivered.

"Great Service, Great Location, Wonderful staff"

Great staff, great service, great location. We all know the difficulties of maintaining service during COVID times. However, the Thompson maintains a high standard! Staff was very accommodating , especially Benny who took care of everything and more. I'm a Hyatt Globalist and I was taken back at how I was treated, very very well. Kudos to the Thompson for keeping high standards with limited staff. The service was so good, I decided to extend my stay from late March to late May. Location is great, lots of restaurants around. There's a Harris Teeter and Whole Foods nearby for groceries and such if you're staying for a longer trip. Starbucks is a couple of minutes away. Navy Yards Metro is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. It's a little farther away from the National Mall, but it's not even a big deal. We were going to go back to the Wharf area, but there's no way we're leaving with the type of service we are receiving. Last thing about Breakfast, they give you vouchers through a third party called Butler. The breakfast sandwiches, both Bacon and Sausage are the best options in my opinion. It's a pretty good size and will fill you up decently. Mini fridge, and espresso machine was in the junior suite we were provided (upgrade due to Globalist Status). Well done, Thompson Hotel!

"Luxury Hotel with amazing waterfront views!"

We love the Thompson, it is our first choice when coming into town for the week. It is perfectly located in the Navy Yard and near the Metro, dining, and nightlife. The luxury appointments, decor, and service are unrivaled. If your a Hyatt member, or even if your not, you will be hard pressed to find a hotel that rivals the Thompson.

    "Great Room, Great Location"

The room was very comfortable and clean. Everything worked. Didn’t try the restaurant but it looked to be pretty popular. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. The location is great - lots of eateries in the area, a short walk to the Metro station, right by the water. Would definitely stay here again.
