Great staff, great service, great location. We all know the difficulties of maintaining service during COVID times. However, the Thompson maintains a high standard! Staff was very accommodating , especially Benny who took care of everything and more. I'm a Hyatt Globalist and I was taken back at how I was treated, very very well. Kudos to the Thompson for keeping high standards with limited staff. The service was so good, I decided to extend my stay from late March to late May. Location is great, lots of restaurants around. There's a Harris Teeter and Whole Foods nearby for groceries and such if you're staying for a longer trip. Starbucks is a couple of minutes away. Navy Yards Metro is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. It's a little farther away from the National Mall, but it's not even a big deal. We were going to go back to the Wharf area, but there's no way we're leaving with the type of service we are receiving. Last thing about Breakfast, they give you vouchers through a third party called Butler. The breakfast sandwiches, both Bacon and Sausage are the best options in my opinion. It's a pretty good size and will fill you up decently. Mini fridge, and espresso machine was in the junior suite we were provided (upgrade due to Globalist Status). Well done, Thompson Hotel!
