"Had a lovely time"
I can't speak to the unfavorible reviews but we had no issues in our upper floor room, which we paid to upgrade to. We heard some distant hammer-drilling but nothing awful. We had a Nespreso machine and the lounge on 3 was pretty handy as well. The room would not be so good for working as there wasn't a desk. If you expect to hang clothes the tiny closet will get very crowded. We liked having the subway close and also discovered that you can walk south through inviting and covered pedestrian accessable buidings all the way to the end of Rockefeller center, which made getting to the theatres a pretty dry trip when raining.
