    "BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, GREAT LOCATION"

    The Thompson Chicago is a beautiful hotel in a great part of Chicago. It is contemporary but manages to be comfortable. The room was spacious (especially for a big city hotel) and the shower extra large - - though I believe we had a "standard" room. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed Nico Osteria for breakfast, thought I'll say it is probably for a more adult palate. It is not a Pancake House. My wife had Avocado Toast with an Egg, and I had Poached Eggs Benedict with Salmon and Branzino sausage which was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly (shout out to Antonios!)

    "5 star experience"

    the room was gorgeous. it was kept clean throughout our stay as well. The hotel is in a great location and atmosphere is amazing. service was A1 from front desk to room service really anything you needed. what else can you ask for. over the top great stay and we will be back for sure. thank you!

    "Great place to stay while in Chicago"

    The Thompson Hotel is my favorite place to stay when I visit Chicago! Located in the Gold Coast, a great location for shopping and restaurants. The staff is always welcoming and thoughtful. There is also a cool art installation in the stairwell, a must see.

    "The Thompson is Great"

    The Thompson Hotel is great. Great accommodations, great staff/service and great value. Our experience was fantastic from check in to check out. The service was friendly and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable and the bar and restaurant were welcoming and fantastic.

    "Excellent Stay and good location"

    The lobby and front desk staff are non assuming and thorough. Restaurant had a vegan friendly menu with a few mods only. Good food. Location is great! Looking forward to another visit for a few more nights.

    "Perfect in every way"

    Excellent location, in south Gold Coast neighborhood, few minutes walk to north end of Magnificent Mile. Multiple dining options around the hotel. Location seemed more quiet than staying just off Magnificent mile. Design and decor of the hotel was intimate and welcoming. All staff we encountered were polite and helpful. We used public parking structure few minutes walk from hotel. Corner room with water view was awesome, rooms well appointed and bathrooms contemporary. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

    "Excellent Hotel"

    We love this hotel. The staff is wonderful, and the facilities are top notch. We've stayed here multiple times and it's always a treat. Our room was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere at the bar and restaurant was pleasant. It's close to great restaurants and nightlife.

    "Excellent Chicago Hotel"

    Was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Neighborhood is great. Many excellent F&B options within an easy walk when you tire of the excellent hotel restaurant. Will definitely stay at this property my next trip into Chicago.

    "Another Chicago Gem"

    The Thompson has all of the coziness and top-flight trappings of an independent boutique hotel— but it's a Hyatt, so the occasional quirks you get at an independent hotel were absent. High-style, comfortable rooms. nice restaurant with good food, warm bar scene, top-notch service– all blended together perfectly.

    "Perfect location in downtown Chicago for a birthday celebration!"

    Easy to get to, easy and conveniently located to walk to high tea at the Drake. Super fun vibe in the bar area and great food and drink for breakfast/brunch. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and bed was comfortable. Suites are lovely and large with great views. Would stay again next time I'm in the windy city.
