About Sago Spa & Salon at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina

The vitality and rich ecosystems of the Eastern Shore region are the inspiration behind Sago Spa & Salon. The spa’s namesake, sago, is a strong underwater grass in the Chesapeake Bay that provides life, vitality, and nourishment to the surrounding waters and its inhabitants. Our treatments are rooted in natural, sea-based products, and they are known for their revitalizing and rejuvenating effects.

Sago Spa’s design features nautical-inspired wall sconces and natural textured wallpapers, with a color palette of golden hues, steel blues, and earth tones. Guests are able to rejuvenate in 13 soothing treatment rooms outfitted with top-of-the-line equipment. Additional features include a sauna, a full retail area, and an expanded modern salon complete with hair, make-up, and nail stations. With respect to the environment, eco-friendly materials were used in the construction whenever possible, from the limestone reception desk to the salon’s recycled glass tile.

Spa Etiquette

Appointments 

Please arrive 15-30 minute prior to your appointment to prepare for your Sago Spa Experience. In order to reserve your scheduled appointment, we require a valid credit card number at the time of booking. Advanced reservations are highly recommended to ensure your preferred service, date, and time are available. Appointments within 4-6 weeks are limited.

Cancellation
Should you need to cancel an appointment at Sago, please contact the spa 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Any cancellations with less than 12 hours notice will result in full charges of the scheduled service. Late arrivals will result in a shortened appointment or the rescheduling of your appointment. (Charges will apply)

Amenities
In light of COVID-19 some Spa Amenities may be closed. Please contact the Spa directly for updated amenities. 

Spa Environment
At Sago Spa we strive to provide you with the most relaxing and soothing spa experience from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Please refrain from using your cell phone. Sago Spa is considered an adult facility and spa services are reserved for guest 18 years of age or older. Select salon services are available for guests under the age of 18.

Service Charge

Please note that a mandatory sur charge of 20% will be added for all a la carte services and day spa packages. Gratuities are optional and are left at your discretion. Gratuities are retained in full by the provider(s) performing the service(s).

Gift Certificates
Giving a gift of the spa is a unique way to let someone know you value their wellness. Add a personalized greeting to make your certificate special.

Loyalty Program

Safety Guidelines & Procedures

Sago Spa & Salon is committed to caring for our guests and colleagues , as your safety and well-being is always a top priority. We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation, remain vigilant, follow procedures and protocols developed in consideration from various health organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local authorities and other leading organizations and experts.

Below are some of the steps we are taking to ensure your health and well-being so you can enjoy your Sago Spa Visit:  

·  Disinfecting of high-touch surfaces in areas with CDC approved disinfectant such as lobbies, treatment rooms, public restrooms, elevator buttons, card machines and employee areas. The Sago Spa team has gone through COVID-19 training including sanitation and infection control procedures to ensure guests and staff are safe and risk for transmission of germs is low. 

·  Sago Spa & Salon has implemented protocols for properly following Social Distancing regulations. This includes but is not limited to scheduling certain number of guests for services at any given time, re-arranging furniture, and possible marked areas in common areas and temporarily requiring guests to schedule appointments ahead until we are able to accommodate walk in appointments. We ask that guests practice proper social distancing while in the spa environment.

·  Pedicure chairs, basins and bowls are properly washed and disinfected after every guest with an EPA- registered disinfectant. 

·  All metal nail tools that are designed for multiple use are thoroughly washed and disinfected after every guest with a EPA registered disinfectant. Some tools are single use only, therefore they are disposed of following the service or the guest may take them home.

·  Face Mask regulations are dependent on the current State of Maryland Regulations.
