​Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts

Wolf Trap is the only National Park dedicated solely to the performing arts in the United States. In the summer months, the Filene Center makes for a perfect concert experience where you have a picnic on the lawn while listening to your favorite live tunes. Wolf Trap Center is located just three miles away from the hotel.

​Filene Center

The Filene Center is a beautiful outdoor amphitheater hosting over 80 performances every summer and 2 free festivals every year – the Summer Blast Off! with the US Marine Band and the Holiday Sing-A-Long during the winter time. The venue seats approximately 7,000 people.

​Mount Vernon Estate, Museum & Gardens

Fairfax County is home to America's first and most celebrated President. ​Smithsonian’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

The Udvar-Hazy Center is the sister property of the Air and Space Museum located on the National Mall. The two sites together showcase the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts in the world. The Space Shuttle Discovery, SR-71 Blackbird, flight simulators, guest speakers, special events, guided tours, and IMAX movies are just some of the experiences when visiting this Fairfax County favorite.

​River Farm

Headquarters of the American Horticultural Society, River Farm was once owned by George Washington. Overlooking the Potomac River, the farm is comprised of 25 acres of landscaped lawn and gardens, include rose and perennial borders, idea gardens, children’s gardens and special plantings by local horticultural societies. Special events and children’s programs offer fun for everyone.

​Meadowlark Gardens Regional Park

Meadowlark is one of the hidden treasures of Fairfax County. A picturesque gazebo and three sparkling lakes surrounded by weeping cherry trees and a profusion of colorful blooms—azaleas, lilies, daffodils and so much more—grace this 100-plus acre garden park. Large ornamental gardens and native plant collections are featured, and the park’s walking trails offer first-rate viewing for visitors.

Great Falls National Park

Fairfax County is home to over 30,000 acres of parkland including Great Falls National Park. Visitors arrive year round to witness the breathtaking views and awesome power of the Potomac River flowing over the falls. Hike along the riverside trails or admire the sights from select vantage points near the visitor center. You can also arrange kayak expeditions or rock climbing adventures by coordinating with the park’s rangers.

​Arcadia Farm

Arcadia Farm is located just a few short miles from downtown Washington, DC, on the historic grounds of Woodlawn Estate. Arcadia’s demonstration farm and educational children’s garden currently encompasses four acres, providing a sustainable model of agriculture to new farmers, students and the public through hands-on community engagement.
