Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center

The Rose, one of the venues for the Sundance Film Festival, is right here at this three-venue complex that features theater and dance performances and an art gallery. One of the most beautiful parts of the complex is the Capitol Theatre, which has been in operation since 1913 and serves as the home of the Ballet West, Utah Opera and the Children’s Dance Theatre.

Ballet West

This elegant and hard-working ballet company has been making a name for itself in the ballet world since 1963. The current Artistic Director, Adam Sklute, leads the dance by incorporating works from modern choreographers, as well as perfecting the classics. Tickets are available online and at the will call office, which is located in the Capitol Theatre.

Eccles Theater

The Eccles Theater promises to be a hub of activity year-round with indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces. The 2,500-seat theater will host national touring Broadway, concerts, comedy and other popular entertainment events; while the multi-use Black Box will see innovative local performances and community events. The six-story Grand Lobby will hold public art and events on the outdoor plaza will energize Regent Street. Encore, a full service bistro operated by Cuisine Unlimited, will round out the experience at the Eccles Theater.

The Gateway

The Gateway is where you’ll find the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, where kids can burn up some energy while doing a bit of hands-on learning. Also located at the Gateway is the Clark Planetarium & IMAX® Theatre, which offers Cosmic Light Shows, educational movies in its Hansen Dome and, of course, has a five-story IMAX 3-D screen with 14,000 watts of digital surround sound. The Depot is a four-story concert venue at the Gateway that seats 1,200 people and showcases a variety of musical talent.

Temple Square

Temple Square is a 10-acre complex, owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the center of Salt Lake City, Utah. In recent years, the usage of the name has gradually changed to include several other church facilities that are immediately adjacent to Temple Square.
