Whitechapel Art Gallery

St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral on Ludgate Hill, the highest point in the City of London. The present building dates from the 17th century and was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. It is generally reckoned to be London's fifth St Paul's Cathedral, all having been built on the same site since 604 A.D. The cathedral is one of London's most famous and most recognisable sights.

Tower of London

The Tower of London is a historic fortress located on the north bank of the River Thames. It is the oldest building used by the British government. The tower's primary function was a fortress, a royal palace, and a prison (particularly for high status and royal prisoners, such as the Princes in the Tower and the future Queen Elizabeth I). Today the Tower of London is cared for by an independent charity, Historic Royal Palaces, which receives no funding from the Government or the Crown.

The Monument

The Monument is a 202 ft (61.57 metres) tall stone Roman Doric column in the City of London. It is located at the junction of Monument Street and Fish Street Hill, 202 ft (61.57 metres) from where the Great Fire of London started in 1666. The monument closed in July 2007 for an 18-month, £4.5 million refurbishment project and re-opened in February 2009.
