Art Exhibition

The HYATT ART SEASONS project is organized with the Forsa Gallery, a contemporary art gallery that collaborates with the most promising young Ukrainian artists and promotes Ukrainian art on the world art scene, promotes international cultural exchange, and creates a positive image of Ukrainian art abroad. Artists of Forsa Gallery takes part in prestigious international projects and are nominees and winners of leading art awards. Works by contemporary Ukrainian artists in the hotel's lobby will be changed every three months.

Children's Activities

During Sunday Brunch, Hyatt Regency Kyiv offers a special children’s playground, with many activities to keep your little ones entertained, such as painting lessons, clowns, magicians, puzzles and toys.

Parks & Gardens

Feofaniya

Feofania is a picturesque area in the southern outskirts of Kyiv. There are holy springs, a cascade of lakes and mighty oak groves in the vicinity of the famous Orthodox nunnery. The park's total area is about 1.5 sq km (0.58 sq mi). There is also a wonderful archaeological and cultural site in the park.

Mariiansky Park

It’s situated on the hills along the Dnieper River, revealing splendid views on the left bank of Kyiv. This is an imperial park, founded in 1874 by the order of Alexander II. Here is located the Mariinsky Palace, breathtaking monument of Baroque architecture, designed by famous Italian architect Rastrelli.

AV Fomin Botanical Gardens

This is one of the oldest botanical parks in Kyiv and Ukraine with total square of 22,5 hectares. Situated right in the center of the capital, it’s a division of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. Nowadays the area is divided into two parts: scientific and recreational.

Peizazhna (Landscape) alley

This park alley is one of the most popular Kyiv attractions. Here live giant fairy heroes: cats-centipedes, elephants-fountains, love zebras and giant sparrows. In 2010, a new playground "Alice in Wonderland was made". All main characters of the novel are happy to greet you and your children.

Shopping

Gulliver

The latest shopping mall in Kyiv downtown has opened in one of the new skyscrapers. The mall houses 130 shops of closes, shoes, jewellery, perfumes, books, bags etc. The entertainment area hosts a cinema, bowling centre, fitness centre with a rooftop swimming pool giving a panoramic view over the city.

Globus

Globus is located at Independence Square. There are 192 shops on three levels - two of which are underground. You may find different brands here: Adidas, MEXX, Esprit, Motor Jeans, Polo Garage, Cacharel, Colin’s and Tommy Hilfiger. There are also shoe shops, jewelery, lingerie, and perfumery outlets.

Mandarin Plaza

The seven-level Mandarin Plaza shopping centre is conveniently located close to the city centre, in the Bessarabs’kyi district. The Plaza features numerous stores, offering goods of every kind. Boutiques - those sanctuaries of high fashion - feature the latest creations by the world’s best known designers.

Ocean Plaza

Ocean Plaza is a perfect place for shopping, relaxing and spending time pleasantly. This is one of the biggest shopping centers in Kyiv, which unites over 300 stores of global brands, conceptual restaurants, a hypermarket, a cinema, an aquarium and entertainment center for children.

Museums

PinchukArtCentre (Museum of Contemporary Art)

One of the largest centres of contemporary art in Ukraine and indeed Eastern Europe. PinchukArtCentre has become a place for permanent and temporary exhibitions, art-projects, and an essential part of contemporary cultural life of Ukraine. The centre owns a collection of contemporary art consisting of more than 300 artworks.

Pirovogo Open Air Museum

Situated just south of Kyiv, the Folk Architecture Museum brings together a wide variety of buildings from the 17th - 20th century. Wooden cottages, churches, farms and windmills sit amid beautiful gardens and boast perfectly preserved interior furnishings.

Chernobyl Museum

This museum will not leave you indifferent. It will make you feel like you are somehow a witness of the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Here you'll find rare pictures of those affected; children, animals and emergency workers. You'll also see life-sized costumes with gas-masks, trucks and other equipment.

Ukraine's National Art Museum

The 21 galleries of the museum contain valuable collections of Ukraine's National Arts largely unknown to Western visitors. These pieces include Ukrainian icons, paintings, and sculptures from the 14th century through the 20th century.

Attractions

Golden Gate

This fortified wall, defining Kyiv's city limits and serving as a protective barrier from invaders in centuries past, dates back to 1037, the reign of Prince Yaroslav the Wise. The place was restored to its present condition in 1983, and it now serves as the Golden Gate historical museum.

State Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art

The museum exposition presents an outstanding picture of the history of Folk Art from Ukraine, containing over 60,000 exhibits. It consists of two departments: Ukrainian Folk Art of the 17th to early 20th centuries, and Soviet-time Ukrainian Art.

St. Michael Cathedral

Originally built in 1108, this cathedral was destroyed by the Soviet regime in the mid 1930-s in keeping with their anti-religion agenda. Its reconstruction was completed in May 2000. The sky blue exterior and glittering golden domes are stunning.

Mariyinskiy Palace

The gorgeous blue and cream palace was designed by the famous Italian architect Bartholomew Rastrelli. The palace is located on top of a hill in a beautiful park overlooking the Dnipro river. The magnificent building was used as a Kyiv residence of the Tsar's family.

Kyivo – Pechersk Lavra

The first monastery of Eastern Europe and the center of the orthodox world. Visit the place where one of the first monasteries began. You will see the unique caves made by the monks, underground churches as well as unique museums, including the Museum of Micro Miniatures, the Museum of Historical Jewellery and the Museum of Typography and Book History.

Kyiv Overview Tour
