Where to Dine + Drink

Voodoo Donuts

This place is everyone’s guilty pleasure and for a good reason. The 24/7 spot has a popular namesake doughnut (nicely covered in chocolate frosting, filled with raspberry jelly and a pretzel-stacked topper) that will have you coming back for more.

Rainey Street Bars

Enjoy renovated houses turned into bungalow bars. Come day or night you’ll find bar-goers strolling from bar to food trailer to bar again—often with dogs in tow, looking for a kicked-back sip and a bite.

Culture + Art

ACL Live

Austin City Limits (ACL) is a modern, high-tech live music venue. The celebrated premier amphitheater (yep, the same one seen on PBS) is part of a huge, multi-purpose development known for live performances, and special or private events.

Frank Erwin Center

The multi-purpose facility is owned and operated by The University of Texas at Austin and serves as the home stadium for the Longhorns Men's and Women's basketball teams along with some of the best live entertainment.

Outdoor Recreation

Barton Springs Pool

Within the park’s 358 acres, lies one of Austin’s crown jewels—Barton Springs. Measuring three acres in size and fed from underground springs averaging temperatures between 68–70 degrees, ideal for year-round swimming.

Congress Avenue Bat Bridge

A 1980 renovation transformed the bridge into a bat cave attracting Mexican free-tailed bats migrating north. It’s a perfect alliance as bats happily mitigate the city's bug population and provide an amazing nightly show.

Lady Bird Lake

This man-made reservoir is perfect for hot summer days when scores of walkers and joggers traverse along the lakeside paths through nearby Zilker Park. Guests can also take to the water by canoe, kayak, water bike, or stand-up paddleboard.

Zilker Metropolitan Park

This 361-acre park is in the heart of downtown, near Lady Bird Lake. It offers picnic facilities, bike/canoe rentals, a disc golf course, a large playground, the Zilker Zephyr train, and Barton Springs Pool.
