The Great Texas Dinner
November 30th 6:30pm
The Driskill Ballroom
The Great Texas Dinner is inspired by the Lone Star State’s abundance of local delicacies. This is a one night only, four-course ticketed prix fixe dinner that will showcase locally sourced seasonal ingredients and handcrafted sotol cocktail pairings from Desert Door. The local craft distillery’s liquor is made from wild-harvested sotol, the plant used to make the first alcoholic beverage ever consumed in Texas 800 years ago.
Dishes will incorporate a range of native Texas game and produce, from Texas-farmed antelope and Hill Country Iberico pig to gulf redfish. Capped at 50 guests, the Great Texas Dinner will feature both food and beverage with artisanal Texas taste. Taking place beneath the trompe l’oeil dome of The Driskill Ballroom, the event will make for a memorable Texan experience nearly 140 years in the making.
