Area Attractions

Get your family excited for exotic exhibits at the Dallas Zoo, or devote a day to Six Flags Over Texas. Many of our area attractions like Hawaiian Falls Garland are a few miles away, but the engine that runs northeast Texas is found downtown. Attend famous NASCAR sporting events at the Texas Motor Speedway. Taste our classic Texas culture in more than one way when you experience a Mesquite Championship Rodeo show. And while you wait for your football game to start at AT&T Stadium, tailgate with grub from local mom-and-pop barbeque spots.

Family Fun

Hawaiian Falls

Wade into a 16,000 sq. ft. wave pool, or let the current of the lazy river carry you across the park. Several slides and rides made their debut in recent years, and it’s our guests’ turn to do the same.

Dallas Zoo

Spread your wings and change the pace with a visit to the world-famous Dallas Zoo. Inspect 106 acres of exotic animals and plants at the largest and oldest zoological park in Texas. When your feet ache, loop around the exhibits by monorail.

Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas is always a huge pull, despite the half hour drive downtown. But the short commute is well worth it for a few days of sheer drops and steep coasters.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.

To see the local flora, visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Close to 70 acres on White Rock Lake are devoted to festivals and concerts with a natural backdrop.

Arts & Culture

Charles W. Eisemann Center

The Eisemann Center offers pre-show buffet dinners with an additional concession stand and bar. And a breathtaking art gallery is located on-site. Its three distinct performance spaces allow for multiple productions at the same time.

Outdoors

Breckinridge Park

The open landscape and sprawling, green grass layout encourages a hike, bike or walk of the 4.4 mile trail and take in the natural beauty of the lakes and oaks. Families can go fishing and friends can lay out a picnic for a wonderful afternoon in the sun.

Chase Oaks Golf Club

Local Richardson golf courses and clubs are mere minutes from Hyatt Regency North Dallas. Two of our four exquisite courses are within range of our complimentary hotel shuttle, which means cab fares and gas money can be spent on an extra driving range bucket. Share the evening talking with friends in a speedy golf cart, or impress your superiors with an early-morning tee time.

Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival

Running for just five years, the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival is quickly blossoming into one of the country’s largest. Showcasing local talent and pointing out budding artists for locals less in-the-know, this festival runs for three days in May and serves as the perfect aperitif to the start of summer.
