Firearms Policy
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hyatt.
This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates, and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.
Hyatt recognizes that guests may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes.
This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
The Open Carry of Firearms on Hyatt private property is prohibited, regardless of State or local authorities
Hotel premises are private property. Guests of a Hyatt hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any Hotel Guest who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state, and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that:
- All handguns, firearms and ammunition must be transported into and out of hotel property secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest
- The firearm is securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room or personal vehicle (except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel)
Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

Incoming and Outgoing Packages
A handling and storage fee will apply for all incoming and outgoing packages. Price is per package: Box (under 50 lbs) $15 Box (50.1 – 100 lbs) $25 Pallet $150 Packages stored 4+ days are subject to additional fees
The Hotel does not accept any liability for equipment, goods, displays, or other materials that arrive or fail to arrive at the Hotel. The Individual/Group is responsible for insuring its property for loss or damage. All packages should be clearly marked with a return address.
Pet Policy
Hyatt Regency Austin is proud to be a pet-friendly hotel. We are focused on providing a hassle-free experience for their travelers. Pets must be licensed and wear ID tags at all times while at the hotel. Dogs must be leashed at all times while in public areas. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for any damage caused by their pets. For the comfort of all of our guests, pets are not allowed in food & beverage service areas.
Please note the below fees that will apply for guests staying with pets:
Fees :
- Up to 6 nights: $150 total
- 7-30 nights: Additional $150
- 30+ nights: Hotel’s discretion
Weight Limits:
- Only dogs weighing 50 pounds and under are permitted. Two dogs may be allowed in a guestroom, if their combined weight does not exceed 75 pounds.
Incidental Deposit Requirements
The policy for Cash or Check usage at check-in is as follows:
- Cash, Personal checks, or Company checks are accepted with proper ID.
- Check must be approved by current check guarantee company.
Requirements:
- A $75 deposit (per day) for incidentals (phone and movies) must be collected upon check-in. Food and beverage outlets cannot be charged to the room.
Care & Cleanliness Commitment
Providing a safe and healthy environment for our guests and colleagues is always top priority for Hyatt Regency Austin – even more so today. In an effort to ensure a healthy environment and in accordance with the CDC, WHO, and local government orders, we have implemented additional hygiene and safety measures throughout the property. Below is a list of modifications that have been made to our amenities and activities as well as updates to the hotel’s safety procedures.

MOBILE CHECK-IN AND KEYLESS ENTRY
Use your our World of Hyatt app to check-in, access your room, and receive your final bill without contact - all from your mobile phone.
CLEANING ENHANCEMENTS
We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces and areas including the lobby, front desk, credit card processing machines, guestrooms, restaurants, recreational areas, public restrooms, elevator buttons, all employee areas, meeting spaces, and more.
HAND SANITIZING STATIONS
Touchless hand sanitizing stations have been placed in prominent areas throughout the hotel’s public spaces and entrances.
PAPERLESS HOTEL GUIDE
QR codes have been placed in common areas and rooms for guests to quickly and easily access all hotel information and updates - another way to eliminate a touch point while remaining environmentally friendly.
HYGIENE MANAGER
A trained, on-site Hygiene Manager has been appointed to ensure the daily implementation of our new operational guidance and protocols.

Dining Modifications:
For updates and hours of operation for our specific outlets, please refer to our dining page, or contact the hotel directly.
- Select tables have been rearranged or closed to ensure proper social distancing
- High touch areas will be sanitized at least every two hours
- Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each guest
- Servers, Chefs, Bartenders, and Setup teams will wear proper PPE at all times
